Got family all over the world, and this has been good to keep in sync with them. Minor bug though - 12 hour format used to show an AM/PM mark, but it's been missing for about a year now. I'm in the uk and some of my family are in australia/NZ, so that bug does make a difference. --- and a day later, the AM/PM is fixed. Very responsive developer, thanks!
BE CAREFUL of this company! I installed the free version of the app but it did not solve the purpose I needed it for. A year later they charged my card 34.09 just 2 days after the trial ran out. But they never gave a notice that the charge would be made and they refused to issue a credit. Dozens of other free apps can do what this one does. Do not trust this one!
Fantastic app that unfortunately is no lomger maintained and does NOT work with Android 9.0 ... unfortunately no alternative at same level on the store .. if some developer wants to recreate it... it will be good.
Exactly what I needed. Can you provide some more appearance customisations please? (like rounded edges) Would be great if you can provide the ability to add multiple clocks to one widget.
I love this app WHEN IT WORKS. The problem is the widget doesn't auto-update on SOME devices, and tweaking the battery settings doesn't resolve the problem when it happens. The widget just refuses to auto-update on SOME devices regardless what I tried. So frustrating.
As soon as I went to set this app up, before I ever had a chance to use it, it interrupted me wanting a rating. So they got a rating.
Excellent. Just wanted a simple app to show UTC time. The home screen widget is perfect. If the paid version of this app was a one time purchase, I'd pay/donate for what the free version gives me. IDC about fonts

Edit 24 June Padding issue is fixed, spacing is back, and it seems to be working better than it did when it was great in the beginning. Old review is below for reference. It's been working great for YEARS and after the last update, it's not allowing a name and time, WITHOUT the date. I used to have eight zones setup, and now the whole setup is taking up twice the space it used to. I'd imagine they'll get it fixed soon, but I wanted to mention it in case I'm alone.
Great widget - when it works. As other reviewers have noted, it no longer updates the time automatically. [Edit - I've uninstalled it for the final time after trying to reinstall and fix it. The clocks just don't update, so it's pointless][Edit 2 - the problem is related to the battery saver which puts some apps to sleep. I have excluded it from the battery saver and now it works fine again. I'll put rating back up to 4 stars; -1 star for causing all this trouble and confusion.]
customisable layout. can set up multiple versions of the widget in the home screen, so you can have one for each country/timezone you want. BUT... the time does not update by itself in real time. I have to tap on one of the widgets and then SAVE which seems to then force a refresh of all the times displayed. And then times are accurate ... for literally ONE minute. Then they don't change again until you repeat the process again.????? What the!????
It's simple and functional and does what it's supposed to do. love the customisation features like font size, date format, etc. The only thing I can maybe ask for since it's a widget only app is that apart from a 1x1 widget they also offer a 4x1 widget so that 3 or 4 cities can be added/edited at one go. Would make it perfect! But overall really good and easy to use.
The clock is constantly stopping. As soon as you lock your screen the clock stops, you need to open the widged affter every lock in order to get real time. It is so annoying. If they manage to fix that the app would be perfect. I really like the way the widgets look that is the reason I downloaded it in the first place.
Used to love this widget, but now not displaying correct times. I travel for long periods in multiple time zones, so like to keep widgets with various local times on display. On the first 2 weeks of this trip, times in the cities I saved keep changing to incorrect times as I travel. No idea why. I have to go into app, reselect the same city to get widget to update to the correct time. Then, when I look again later, the time is wrong again. I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 for past usefulness.
Great idea, but it's buggy. The concept of showing multiple clocks from different time zones is awesome, but it keeps getting stuck. The date and time doesn't always update. I've been late on a few things because I was using the time displayed on the widget, but it was actually frozen. It got worse today. Now, it shows Sunday, May 2020 as the 7th. It's supposed to be the 10th.
THIS IS THE ONE AND ONLY CLOCK APP YOU NEED. You can actually customize nearly everything in there from the widget font size , colour and transparency. And you can even RENAME the widget whatever you like. Lacks certain cities but once you know the time zone you're all set. Writing this review to remind myself not to get any other apps. And did I mention no ads??? 😄 Functional, minimalist and beautiful widget!
Easy to use, does what it should, no ads, in short it is great. The one thing that makes for 4 stars is that you have to configure your Android to not put the widget on battery saving mode, as that will prevent it from updating. I especially liked the search function in regards to the time zones!
App has been perfect to date, but without my permisson or action, I was put into a $4.95 a month subscription to have it. Developers should not have the power to auto sign people up for subscriptions without their knoweledge or action!!!
For a free world clock widget, it works well. No permissions, no ads. I was able to find Wellington New Zealand easily. Another world clock app didn't even have Wellington listed as an option. You don't just set up one widget with different clocks. You create a new widget for each world city. Depending on the size of fonts you choose, you can place more or fewer widgets on a screen. I would like to see a larger font for the date and am/pm though. It's much smaller than the time, and city name.
it does show multiple clocks. also show as widget. my only problem is that it don't automatically sync. I've read the comment about the bttery saving setting. i think I was able to do it. but since it's still now working so I guess I did it wrong. nonetheless I will keep using and just manually sync each time.
The build-in clock widget on my new Sony phone is quite primitive. It can't even show a second clock with a different time zone and I have relatives around the world. Then I came accross this little free app and could set up three clocks Berlin, Brisbane and Tokyo next to each other. Nearly Perfect. I am just missing the Windhoek and Luanda timenzones from the selection list. Namibia has daylight saving time in summer and there is no alternative to choose from. So one star off the rating.
Amazing app overall. Very plain and simple, exactly what I was looking for. Everything can be set according to our own desire. There is just one thing that bothers me : sometimes the clock is late, as if it hadn't been updated. It can sometimes be 5 hours late. It may be that this delay is due to my phone killing the app to preserve the battery. Still, a late clock is a shame.
