SimpleMind Free mind mapping

I've always liked the idea of a Mind Map, but never really used one. I downloaded this one to try and I immediately fell in love! The app has a premade Map that goes over the interface buttons. The App's interface is very satisfying, as it is double tap to edit text bubble, and a single tap of a button to add a child topic or sibling topic. There was a tips area I found within the app that was helpful: "Short titles for easy associations" was the tip I liked most. App works well without upgrade.

SimpleMind, i tried them all there are no pop-ups or things that continuously slow you down. I all around if you decided using the paid ver. It give you access to all types of features that you would similer see in other highend priced apps the full version I paid IF your reading this review it's worth trying believe me! I am working on TRYING to REGAIN LOST MY OLD DEVICE to find the right email or login please help me regain access. You deserve 10 Stars!

There doesn't seem to be the ability to create links between topics that aren't on the same branch. I HAVE to be able to relate one part of the map to another. That is so mind-blowingly (no pun intended) obvious to anyone seriously trying to accomplish anything beyond linear tasks. This is a deal-breaker. Please tell me if I am wrong about this. Being on my phone and computer is a must also. That makes this a strong candidate.

At first glance this app is everything I'm looking for (and that's before even exploring the welcome page). As a Hands-On learner, I was immediately able to: -create my own mind map -create & rearrange new topics -explore the available options -& collapse thought bubbles (though this took an extra 2-3 minutes of uninstructed wandering 🤫) All in all, this appears to be a Great app, Surprisingly Simple for such a, tiny, surprisingly full-featured AP.

Wow, worst app. I can make a mindmap (dont enter alot of info bc u will be redo to another app). BUT.. I cant even save locally to a folder of mine, and even if i wanted to go find the local file, i cant switch phones without paying to use the file. Holy ** here, stop making it ridiculous.

Has a lot of features. But This app is not for free. Made a mind map on this lite app and was not able to export it. They said if you want to export your file you need to buy the pro package. It Waste of my time and energy.

It's near-perfect for my needs and is by far the best one i've had on my phone. I wish that it would allow for other branching options such as top, bottom and circle, instead of just left, right, or manual. Also, it would be great if it allows for inter-branch connections (even just with semi-transparent or broken lines), and easy access to the notes of each node (pop-up baloon when you tap on the node instead of specifically tapping on the tiny T).

I like this app, but it's extremely frustrating that under preferences, it has an unusable freeform layout and that it doesn't matter which of the 4 options you choose under the horizontal layout, all 5 things are exactly the same so that there is no way to organize the parent topics where you'd actually like them to go. If not for that, I'd have given 5 stars.

It works and is easy to use. The UI is simple and there is no intrusive ad. The only downside is that you can't really export the mindmap to other formats or to be opened using other apps. My suggestion for the app developer is that it would be very nice if you can connect a topic with a subtopic of other topics, so the mindmap doesn't just go one way but you can create a cycle instead.

I was pleasantly surprised at how great this app is. I downloaded many apps to try and help me focus (ADHD) and breakdown processes into individual steps. This is one of the very few that has actually been effective for me. This SimpleMind app is easy to use, has good flow, very colorful, lots of list options to match the lists in my head. It's very handy to have on my phone, since I tend to get distracted before I manage to get my laptop open. Liked it enough to upgrade to paid version.

About the nicest free mind-mapping app you can find. It's intuitive, flexible, and doesn't suffer from the blocky, amateurish graphics that plague so many similar apps. I just wish it let you add arbitrary lines between nodes so you could illustrate processes with recursive routes. Maybe they'll add it someday. [EDIT:] Ah, okay… Since I'm not a professional mind-map maker, I guess I'll just struggle along with the amateur features. 😁

I can't believe I did not install this app and the desktop version earlier. Strongly recommend the developer make it eaiser for prospective users to see that it is, indeed, possible and quite easy to construct concept maps in this app (i.e. (directed) graphs rather than trees). Put a screenshot on the website or something. I only have one request. Please, please, make the android text search experience a little more like desktops, ie with **filtered dropdown search results** (live-updated)! Please do consider doing so. It will make navigation so much easier!!

I use it on my laptop and phone. It's really easy to make mind maps which helped me study. I also us the maps to remember things I need to keep notes about.

Gorgeous, intuitive, customizable, and capable of charting the most ambitious of plans. And though this app is all of this on its own, I also purchased the desktop version to create the most convenient and versatile mind mapping system ever devised (via the Dropbox feature). I've been using SimpleMind for six years now and it remains a favorite, a truly satisfying tool for writing/planning/brainstorming.

I pressed pixel2's hardware back button and my progress reverted back by some 10-15 steps with no apparent way to get back to original (advanced) state of progress with history not having any option to go "forward" in time at that point. Is this a bug? Is there a solution? If anything "back" button should take one to the list of mindmaps instead of what it did to me. Very dissappointing

Very easy to use. The free version ( which isn't deceptive like some) gives you the options that you need, without paying. So I'm more likely to pay for pro version if I need to get really fancy. I have ADHD and this helps me really break down things so It's easier for me to prioritize and plan.

Really great for scatter brains with a lot of ideas. I had a hard time forgetting some if my better ideas because I didn't write them down. this helps me to do that and organize them. In a weird way being able to visually see my ideas like this has boosted my confidence in the value of my ideas. Definitely deserves the space on my phone even if I only use it a few times a month to jot stuff down.

I really wanted this app to fit my needs. But the free version seems to be very limited. So either I spend money for the full vers and be really happy or very disappointed. If they only unlocked a few more features so I can really work with it before spending the $$$. Still on the fence with this one.

Excellent app! I've been using SimpleMind for a while to create outlines and other documents. I really like the interface with all my devices, MacBook, Android phones, IPad. I linked my SimpleMind account to my Google Drive and I can access all my files at any time. I purchased the full version. for my MacBook and it is worth every penny. Thank you!

I have this (pro version) on my laptop, and will get the full version on Android shortly. It's not something you'd use every day, but when you want to explore an idea and let your mind roam free there's nothing better. In a really weird way, it's kinda like if Hansel and Gretal were wandering the forest, but taking notes on the way to the witches house. Maybe not the best analogy, but the general idea is there.

My experience with this app has been excellent for years and across different types of devices. Once you get the hang of the controls it's intuitive to use and has the best functionality I've seen in my search for a good mind mapping platform. I definitely recommend.

The Light version is good, for what it is. It's the easiest to use of all the free apps of this type, that I tried. Some limitations in the functionality, but that could potentially be resolved by paying. Which I might well be tempted to do, depending on the cost(haven't looked yet). But all in all, pretty much does what I want it to, and is fairly simple and rewarding to use.

I have been using the free version for 3 years now, and love it. Mapping is a great way to see your goals, and change and update them as you need too. You can even add notes that are popped behind your goal. When people ask how do I achieve all of my goals, I tell them to us Simple-minded Lite. If it works for me, it will work for you too! Enjoy!

I loved this app in the past I even had the pro version, however ever since version 1.17.0 updated to 1.18.0 it became unable to function, I hope you have another release in the future as being the previous 1.17.0 series of SimpleMind when before the App entirely changed.

The free version works well. I haven't seen any ads yet, and I've been using the app for several months. No image attachments with free version, nor is there an export function w/ the free app.

Once I figured out how to create my first mind map with this app I really have liked it. Very intuitive and simple and so far supplying my needs with the basic free version. Only 4 stars because I couldn't easily find an intro video or explanation walking me through all the steps of my first creation.

Awesome. My mind is a bag of crazy and this really helps tame the beast. Thanks to whoever made this awesome app, seriously.
