Since the update on 4/8 I have been unable to use the app. It says synching your account and never syncs. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no success. Update on 5/6 app was able to synch properly. Haven't used it yet so I cannot give it a full rating. A year later update sometime in April made the app unusable again continues with the sync and it stays that way until I close out the application. It is frustrating.

Clumsy. Use is not very intuitive. e.g. Blocking time is in minutes, which is stupid. To block 8 hrs I first have to calculate 8x60=480 and block that many minutes. It shld be in hours. Also, if I click a space in my sched to book an appt, the initial time assumption is whatever the current time is. That's stupid. It shld assume the time slot I click on. Meanwhile, many other basic features are helpful and powerful.

The good news is simple practice has a special page where you can leave suggestions and comments and they respond to them by improving the app and desktop version. The app at this point is very limited and can only be used to make appointments. The calendar view stinks and is not usable but the weekly view is good.

Update: The attractively laid out app is getting updated and improved which is great, hopefully it will eventually do almost everything the website does. I think the app has great potential if it keeps improving. Suggestion: When unable to perform functions that website CAN, a link to the website function would be great: tap and browser window opens allowing access to that feature. Having a special menu of all the website only features with these hot links would be awesome in the app.

Disappointed with recent price changes and offerings for solo practitioners. Difficult to transition to new EHR, almost impossible for clients, especially new, to book appointments. How could you remove the calendar sync feature on us?

I am not very tech savvy and at first this software seemed easy. Imput clients and send intake document portion is great. I am not a fan of how invoices work or this is an area I am struggling with now. I think I need to experiment with it a bit more, but I'm frustrated with myself

Okay. Not user-friendly for the things I need quickly during phone calls or major appointment information I can't see, much less change. I pretty much have to use my computer. Simple Practice in general is increasingly disappointing with its new tiers and program glitches, not just the app.

I have been using simple practice for a year. And I have been using this app for about 9 months. This app has a lot of issues, the main one that I have noticed is that the calendar is not accurate. Meaning, it shows me being available to accept clients when in reality I already have clients scheduled but this app's calendar is not reflecting that. This has occurred several times. I have uninstalled and reinstalled this app, I have logged out and logged into this app, and nothing is working.

Some features still need to be accessible on the app. More than just progress notes, need to be able to access billing information and other assessments from the app to make it a more consistent functional app I find myself way back and forth from using the website and the app so I don't like that the layout is nice though

Extremely disappointed in the new tier plans. Calendar sync is a basic function that should be offered across all tiers. This feels manipulative and unappreciative of loyal customers who have built their practice with this service. I would have been happy to pay a slight increase but $30/month more for calendar syncing is absurd. Please reconsider.

I like this service, but there are some significant disadvantages to it. For one, you can't set your own late fee and cancelation rates without having to create a service code for it. Your account will get put on hold if your clients have issues processing their credit cards. The file transfer from one practice to another is kind of horrendous. And trying to get help from customer service is hard since you aren't able to talk to anyone over the phone.

No personal interactions with staff at SP. No number to call. Takes days or never to get "posts" responded to. 42% increase in fees this year while removing some systems that were user friendly such as the claim counter. Tried to ask why and got crickets on my posts. Don't recommend

The only thing I wish they had was the option for putting in diagnosis and treatment plans that would make it so much easier to just use the app almost constantly. I have a billing company so I don't need to use the billing part of this.

It's OK but very glitchy. Perfect for looking at my schedule, looking up pt contact info or changing appointments. There is where the consistency ends. Managing payments, looking @ billing hx, secure messaging, dictating notes, looking @ tx plans or notes, check a balance, attendance hx, adjusting billing, noting mental status etc... trying any of that crashes the app. Uninstalling has been unsuccessful. As has reaching out for help.

The only thing I would change is client portal access. It should be just a button on the website the client can go to, login, and that's it. No redo of linksand all that.

I use this app mainly to see messages from clients. The app fails to sync messages after a few uses and I have to uninstall and reinstall to be able to see my messages (I have to do this at least two times a week. Incredibly frustrating, to say the least). This could be a great application if this bug could be worked out. I have an updated smartphone so I don't think it is anything on my end.

Preferred older version of the app. It's hard to find the appointment cancellation setting. Please put it back front and center. Also would be nice to have a calendar grid option in addition to a daily scroll as your first interface. I also do not like the check mark button at top right corner of the set appointment screen. Its not very obvious to hit that when you set a new appt. I can't say how many times I've not saved appts because of that. It should look like a txt msg send button.

I am a new user. I think the features will be very useful, since people I know have been having a good experience with SP. However, I have been frustrated with the piecemeal instruction videos and difficulty finding straight answers to simple questions. For instance, today's question is, since I do have a Professional grade membership, with the videoconferencing option activated, may I videoconference with clients via my phone app as well as via my desktop? It would be so useful.

I have recommended this app so many times to other therapists, I can't count. My supervisor was still using paper, when I recommended she switch. It took a while, but after she began using it, she said she didn't understand why she waited so long. She loves it as much as I do. It does everything. All the fundamentals one needs for a practice & then some, for a reasonable price: scheduling, client info, billing, notes, forms, reports, superbills at the touch of a button and teletherapy. Love it!

The most basic function of this app, viewing your schedule, is not reliable. Scheduling changes do not show in the app for hours, even when you use the "sync your account" button (which only seems to pretend to update). I'm glad they finally added in the ability to see and write clinical notes, but past notes are still not easily accessible on the patient summary page.

The positives for me are being able to dictate my notes immediately after my session, and the ability to video sessions during the covid shut down. However, when I have some difficulty with the app I have nowhere do contact for help. Contacting simple practice through electronic means is not helpful when it's not working well. There needs to be a phone number that can be called as needed. The video sessions we'll go in and out at times and the audio with them can be garbled.

Wasn't able to use it for almost a month...it seems as though it was constantly loading. Today is the first day it finally worked. Not even sure why it finally started working. I uninstalled and reinstalled, cleared the cache, restarted my phone... everything I could think of. Edited on 6/12/2020 - just did the update and it's constantly syncing again. Once again unable to access my SP.

For the most part I think this app is great! The main feedback I would give for changes is to allow for a week at a glance, the ability to use more colors associated with different appointment types, and the ability to access a little bit more information such as history of past appointments Like you can on the full desktop version.
