SimpleRockets 2

SimpleRockets 2 requires 2GB of RAM.

SimpleRockets 2 is a fully 3D space sim that lets you build rockets, airplanes, rovers, or anything you can imagine and explore highly detailed 3D planets. Easily share crafts and saved games with the community. Included are 17 different challenges to put your creations to the test.

Build crafts by snapping parts together. Choose from the pre-built engines, such as the Mage, which is a powerful kerosene-fueled engine. Or choose the very weak, but highly efficient Ion Engine. Or you can dig deeper into the complexity of rocket science and design your own rocket engines. Choose from the eight available engine types, seven nozzles, and six fuel types. From there you can change engine size, nozzle length, throat radius, and more.

Use interstages to split your craft into multiple stages and piece together modular fairings to protect your precious cargo. Launch multiple crafts into orbit. You can dock with your existing crafts to build space stations, moon bases, refueling stations, etc.

Resize and reshape fuel tanks, wings, cargo bays, fairings, and nose cones with easy-to-use tools that help you create exactly what you want. Resize solar panels, wheels, pistons, shocks, etc to fit your needs. Paint your craft custom colors and tweak their reflectiveness, emissiveness, and texture styles.

Orbits are realistically simulated and support time-warp so you don't have to wait several months to reach another planet. The Map View makes it easy to see your orbits and plan future burns, which you can use to set up future encounters with other planets or satellites.

The flight model dynamically updates drag and lift characteristics of your craft as it changes. Re-entry effects kick in when you're screaming through an atmosphere at hypersonic speeds. Be careful, because the excessive heat can cause those aforementioned rapid unplanned disassemblies.

Download from a huge collection of user-uploaded crafts and sandboxes on our website. Upload your own crafts and sandboxes and share them with the community. Rise through the ranks from a white level builder to a gold level builder and beyond.

It's a good game but please fix the problem where planes spin randomly out of nowhere. I made a balanced plane that Flys but autopilot makes it spin uncontrollably to the point where I literally cannot pilot my own plane. There isn't even a problem with the center of mass it just spins for no reason. Please fix this as soon as possible because it ruins the game for anyone trying to make a plane.

Aside from performance issue on low end devices, this game is worth it in my opinion because not only building rockets there's also programming, planet building, etc. there's also an official website that you can access to download player made craft and also different kind of custom planetary system and all of that looks pretty nice.

The sheer quality of this game is absolutely phenomenal. Working on modern low-end devices, 2016's high-ends at incomparable graphics, physics e.t.c. with minor to almost no lag.

Love the game! And please add multi stage parachute where first a small chute then a drag chute then the main chute and add a command pod that has 2 drag chutes built in and landing legs please

Can be really frustrating using the tools when building crafts. Really drives me crazy when I barely, accidentally touch a part that isn't intended and it just goes crazy. Make the gizmos a little bit larger for people who play primarily on their phone. That said, it really is a great game, that can be improved in many areas, but I am addicted to it. Played it since the day it came out. Make the gizmos easier to use and I'll gladly give it 5 stars. Lags like crazy sometimes.

Ever want to just build a rocket, and fly to the moon, just to see if you can do it? This game is fantastic. Works well even on older phones. Makes complex rocket stuff as simple as it can be. Go fast, thrust prograde, keep the pointy part pointed towards the blue part, orbits are easily managed at their high and low points, crashes are part of the game. Ok, boom...you're ready to fly. Developer is very responsive, pleasant, and will even answer your questions on Reddit.

This whole concept is a pretty impressive achievement, even more so given that it's running on a mobile device. It's not quite as "simple" as SimpleRockets was, but the additional realism is a positive for me nonetheless. The UI is a little complicated and cluttered feeling at times, but given the scope of the rocket-building abilities in this game, it's been implemented well enough. I hope this game finds success on the mobile market. It deserves it.

This is a very complex game. There are many parts with many configuration options. (Even a way to graphically program your creations) The game is very realistic, and definitely needs a whole lot of processing power. There are also example rockets and planes plus access to community creations. However, there is a lot of detail and a steep learning curve (although there are descriptions that tell you what certain buttons and parts do).

Highly recommended. A full, proper 3D space simulator on mobile! If you've ever suspected that KSP could be made more efficient with a re-write, this game is the proof. As I understand it, the developer worked in the past as a professional simulator programmer, and it shows in terms of game efficiency and adaptability. This mobile version is the exact same as the desktop version and yields incredible performance and visual quality, even on mobile devices. You may find some imperfections in the first period after it is released, but the game is regularly updated so bugs aren't there for long.

Overall a wonderful game, KSP for mobile, the graphics are pretty good, the amount of customization you have is virtually endless. Only a few engines and parts but you can tweak and change whatever property you desire effectively making it a new part. It's a fun and challenging game. The controls are good, and I can tell this game was made with passion. If you are a fan of rockets this is THE game for mobile if your device can handle it.

I'm not quite sure how but it seems I have a much better time controlling my craft and going to different planets than sr1. I've only made it to the moon but that is just the beginning. Complicated in the beginning but once you learn how everything works it truly is an outstanding experience!!!! I waited quite some time of gameplay before making a review and it deserves more than five stars or even 5 dollars!!!! The gameplay is smooth, graphics are beautiful and I couldn't ask it to be better!!

It's an okay mobile experience. Downloading PC created designs is your best bet. When creating your own designs on mobile, camera depth can be an absolute pain to deal with. Also I found mirroring parts didn't show up in staging which is critical. Maybe it's better on a tablet, but my phone is quite large. Overall I have a bunch of feedback that could benefit the mobile experience

This game is beautiful, and obviously designed with phones in mind. I had the game on my PC first, and it fits and works better in the touch screen setting. I love the astronaut expansion, and the ability to customize. It ensures that a rocket that you make is unique, and truly something to be proud of. Although "simple" doesn't describe the game well, the concepts are easy to pick up. I'd like to see many more planets added, as right now we only have access to Luna and Cylero to land on.

I have it both on Steam and Android and always play it whenever I get the chance. Sure, the android version's graphics aren't as great but the game still looks just as nice when you're in space or using the designer. The only thing I miss is the plume of smoke(when you launch) that's on the PC -But I'm guessing this is just because most phones can't handle it.

The mobile app runs just perfectly. the Chromebook version used to run fine with very minor preformance deviations at times, but the new update brought one very big issue, and that is when you boot up the game and get to the start menu, you can move the mouse around but the display temporarilily flashes a black ribbon anywhere and anytime you move the cursor, neither the touchpad nor an external mouse will fix this. please fix this and then it will be perfect again

Worth so much more than what you pay for. This game is insanely good. I just started playing again because I've been busy with college but both the plane and rocket side of the game are phenomenal. I come from PC playing Kerbal Space Program and this easily matches that, on mobile!! It runs insanely smoothly for me and I haven't had any frame rate or physics problems. If you're at all interested in aerospace, orbital mechanics, or any kind of flying sandbox then this is perfect.

Been waiting for this game for a year and have been waiting for the mobile release and now it's here, I'm amazed. I was worried that the mobile version would be limited to standard, cliche rockets (due to limitations on mobile devices). However it's been designed so well you can build massive crafts. If the game gets too slow the graphic settings are fully customizable, which is an amazing feature. I have so much more to say but I have limited words. Lastly the tinker panel works wonderfully Thx

I love it, and it has so much potential, but as of now it's far from perfect and is not playable for people with less powerful devices, all in all, with the near infinite lengths at which you can customize parts and build, this game will be amazing once it's properly optimized and is refined a little here and there, the physics are incredibly good, some of the graphical effects like heat blur are un heard of on mobile, and once bugs and optimization are sorted out, it's going to be incredible.

Awesome game, a great sequel to the 1st game that improves it in every way. It's the best rocket simulator on mobile. The physics are good, you can customize parts in any way you could think of, and the environment looks good, even on medium settings. The only problem is when landing on other planets the physics sometimes go a bit crazy and you slide around everywhere.

GREAT! But... Gameplay and graphics are really good for a mobile game! Physics are really great. I agree with some other reveiwers that a slightly better controls layout would help, I also find that some of the mechanics used to build and attach parts when building is annoying and unclear sometimes. Other than that I have had great fun so far playing this game! Some features that I would love to see implemented is a docking camera, FPV from inside cockpit and BIGGER EXPLOSIONS! Thanks!

This is really cool, but it still needs work! Please fix the controls, and give more explanations in the tutorials. Landing the shuttle was hard without directions. Orbiting with 10kl was impossible. RCS is driving my craft into a spin. Ion/xenon/battery/solar is confusing. How to do fuel pipelines? Uhh... This feels like a beta. Please continue your good work!

I liked SimplePlanes and the original SimpleRockets, so I expected to enjoy this one as well. It's not compatible with my phone or tablet, so I downloaded it on my Chromebook. App launches fine, no real issues to speak of. Then, after the main menu appears, I start getting this weird horizontal banding on the screen that eventually gave me a headache and I had to uninstall. If this app is incompatible with Chromebooks, this needs to be made more clear (and also *totally* shouldn't be the case).

Awesome game! meets my expectations and satisfied the hype😁 I give it 5 star. the only thing I can suggest as of now is, it would be nice if theres a second option in staging. I wish theres an option that instead of staging, we can just activate the parts by clicking them, like how they do it in space flight simulator. but other than that, I love this game!!!!

Vin. H. Jun 12, 2020

A very good game, I really have a pretty flawless experience. My only problem, is that there's an issue with the coding. When you code a rocket, the code only applies to whichever craft the primary command chip is attached to. So if you're like me and you want to land a booster or rocket that isn't attached to the primary command chip/pod, you can't do it with the coding, you have to manually land the booster
