I like the app in general, though it can be confusing since you can add time to a quote as if it's a job, so make sure your field techs don't have access to quotes. The app works offline, so time and not can be made and seen based off last sync availability. Being able to have the site address in the job and the technician having the ability to just click the address a d go is a great plus. Main issue I have right now is that the camera integrations lacks functionality and the gallery upload doesn't work with Android 9 (pie), though it works on my Android 8 device and iPad. All my techs have Pixel phones, so we are all up to 9 and have to go back to a computer to manually upload our photos. I would suggest an easier way to input time, such as a start/stop timer that you can go back to and assign the jobs that may not have been created yet (i.e. emergency service)
If you value your business do not use this. It's possible the worst app I have encountered. I very rarely write reviews but this app is so bad I feel compelled to. It slows down my working day. Engineers miss jobs because it doesn't auto sync. Always having the restart the app because of the side bar always being greyed out and menus missing. It looks like it's been built using free wordpress plugins
App constantly freezes and exits out. Can't open attachments on any Android device which is extremely frustrating as I have attached work orders and job instructions in these attachments which need to be accessed. Very buggy
Worst app, we use it for work purposes. You would think upgrading and fixing all these bugs it would work properly. Can't upload attachments, can't sync, issues with connection when you have full reception the list goes on.
I'm having issues regarding opening items in attachments? I can download and open images but never pdf's. I have recently switched from Apple to android so I'm not sure whether this is an update bug or if it's simply not supported somehow.
SimPRO the parent software to this app is really good, however in order to use simPRO to its full capabilities you'll need this app. Last updated 1 year ago, and it's terrible. Subcontractors and technicians hate it. Crashes on all types of mobile phones, new and old with the only fix is to uninstall and reinstall ( regular occurrence which is definitely not a service connection or provider issue) Does not mark a job as complete at all times therefore billable hours are incorrect due to it saying *Still On-site* and many more nuicences. Yet to hear an answer from simPRO with anticipated bug fixes. Completely inferior to all other on site technician apps like Fergus or Tradify yet cost $39 per user per month.
We spend a fortune running simpro every month. I have gone through the reviews over the past years and people where having issues back in 2017 we have having in 2019. the last update for this program was completed over a year ago for connect. our employees are struggling day by day to carry out there job sheets in full due to connect crashing and wiping all the write ups. photos are having to taken manually then uploaded through gallery which is a time consuming task. This app requires updating
Needs alot of bug fixes and just upgrade upgrade UPGRADE the hardware ect app lags so bad boots you off often you can only upload one pic at a time that alone takes 3/4 of your time, also when labeling your pics you cannot correct your label meaning you have to start over, dont even try using the connect apps camera or video way to many issues i have to email my very short vids to a desk top in order to up load it to the app, sync issues, its a great app for what it is but really needs upgrades
If you're looking for a non productive work force then here you go! Simpro more like simSLOW! This app is not ideal for any job use. I am always on my phone and as tradesman I don't always like to be on my phone at work. The app runs extremely slow no matter what and makes it very frustrating... If you want to keep your business, don't keep this app! SAY NO TO SIMPRO!
Don't know why the app cannot automatically refresh when we can fly drones off our phones and all sorts, seems pretty backwards too me , it's 2019 they need too pick up their game , also this app requires me too log out and back in , just too check my jobs , most unreliable app I have ever used and even when it runs smooth it's still a dogs breakfast
Still does not work correctly with Android 9. Cannot choose attachment from gallery. Does not record (sync) work notes. Tried asking for help through usual help proccess. No one has bothered to reply. Only got notification update was available for eforms....
Has not been optimised for user operation. Text fields can be outside of viewing range leaving you no option but to type into invisible boxes. Had to uninstall twice due to sync function failing completely. Makes my job harder not easier
No mobile licence? How much do we pay for this rubbish software that is not mobile device optimised in the browser? All other project management software I have used includes access to the app. And they also have the mobile browser optimised. Not paying more to just be able to do the same things but in a usable UI when out of office using a mobile device. Workflowmax has always been much better and more user friendly. Cheaper too I believe.
I got the Galaxy ultra s21 and for the last 2 weeks the app has not been able to sync therefore rendering the app completely useless. This has been a major disruption to our work processes. Please let me know when this will be fixed.
Constantly crashing on Android requiring many restarts. The latest issues see it trying to sync for hours without ever achieving this meaning I can't see my daily job or report the work at all. Useless at this point.
Poor app!!!!!!! why anyone would use this i dont know, constant bugs/crashing. Resorts in uninstalling trying to log back in and syncing again for same to happen a week later. STAY AWAY FROM THIS APP YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!
No problems until this past month where it locks up trying to sync and have to re-install it every time. Maybe the company I work for will eventually go to another app, because right now, it's junk!
There are many bugs in this the latest version compared to previous versions. All the fields for assets are not shown and need to be fixed. Users can not add new assets either. But on version ....09 this is possible.
This app is always giving me problems. Most of everytime I try 2 sync it it just buffers for like a wk str8 so i knw its not my phn cuz dis is the only app tht does tht. So I have to get out & try again. Sometimes it wrks sometimes it dnt. Right now its not wrking at all.
Why can the software not "Auto Sync" or Sync at set intervals or at least after a job task has been completed i.e. logged into or out of a job provide a prompt to Sync? Very frustrating when employees log onto a job and forget to Sync so we have no idea where they are.
keeps dropping out, won't sync, went from trying to sync to putting my password in. put the password in that I use all the time and it won't accept it. now i'm locked out for 20min.
have had to use for 2 years. is the worst app on my phone, drains the battery wont sync most the time, crashes photo function is rubbish. only use it to create purchase orders
Absolutely hate Simpro. For someone that schedules and manages their entire day on the road doing electrical maintenance, simpro just doesn't cut to the chase. Aroflo does such a better job for what I need. Simpro desktop version is nice to use, but definitely not convenient to use in the field what so ever.
26/5/19 - app hasnt worked at all since last week. I've uninstalled and reinstalled many times and i cannot get past the blue startup screen. this is affecting my work. please sort asap! If i had a choice, i would not use simpro. but i dont have a say, so here i am 😒
Keeps freezing when trying to sync iv had reinstall the app about 4 times. F this app after writing up a job that took an hour to write up went to sinc the app shut it self and deleted all of my notes
Overall, costs a fortune and seems like none of that money goes into product development. Freezes frequently with the only solution being a full uninstall and reinstall, causing all instances data to be lost. Rotates from side to side constantly if held at a slight angle. These are just the issues annoying me at the moment. There is always something wrong with this damn app. I have been using this app for years with the same issues not being fixed. I have also been using this app with 3 different phones, all being the highest end devices at the time. Thus ruling out the possibility of any fault on the phones.
