Can't afford to have the paper delivered to my home that's I want to cut a finger off. So I continue to purchase the online version and can only read a couple Pages till my eyes go crossed then enough of that the only reason I buy that did you can get it for a little of nothing a dollar $3. No I just go the $49 for a year route and I'm good. How much I miss sitting in the recliner reading the paper don't we all men instead we read it on a computer a tablet or a damn cell phone till headache time
Maybe this app should give you more news stories like the paper. Have a section in the app for comics and horoscopes

I think there are too many sports articles on the main page but overall it is a good app!
App was great and then the latest update added push notifications that can not be disabled. That's a immediate uninstall and one star rating for me. Bye bye Sioux City Journal app.
Alerts wake you up at all times of the night to tell you about sports scores or concert reviews with no way to disable alerts
This app is great and I love it so much! But I don't know how to set up notifications for job openings on my phone
This is my hometown newspaper and I love it. It does seem to close down quite a bit but usually you can just reopen and it is fine.

Slow and updates in middle of reading a story. Additionally have no reason "to thank a realtor" so tired of that ad. Going to delete. Des moines reg is better.

I like the notifications of breaking news. I really thought maybe it would be in the same format as the news paper but NO.
Good news function. Get free access as a subscriber to hard copy paper. It does not recall my login from time to time. Device to device. Ćan't delete a post. Called journal to request deletion. Said OK. Did not delete. Poor interface. Worse customer support. Sorry. Hope it improves.
Suddenly the app is making you pay a subscription price for "premium" access. Ridiculous.
Liked it until they started limiting content, can't even access web content anymore

Not a big fan of the app. It crashes when I attempt to read articles. The primary reason I downloaded it was for the E-edition, but it is sluggish between pages, and will not let me expand it to read articles, but instead pops up with a pixilated page with "Print" or "X" options. Reading the E-edition is much better on the webpage which requires logging in each day, making One of the perceived benefits of the app, no need for repetitive logins, a moot point.
