The app seems to operate, but it is not clear how to set it up to connect with the provider (be it SIP, or other protocol)
Great app. Works very well from my Honor Play/Huawei phone. I had to change the application settings in the phone settings to allow it to run in the background. I like this app because it's well laid out and easy to use. The only feature I miss is that it does not seem to support an ad-hoc three way call (i.e, put one caller on hold, dial a second person and then conference them both in.) For some reason, pressing the button on my bluetooth headset to answer the call does not work. Instead, Sipnetic stops using bluetooth and switches back to the handset. The headset is still paired with the phone though. Means I can't answer a SIP call with the phone in my pocket. Would be useful feature to associate a contact with a sip account, or a number prefix to dial to use a given account, rather than having to switch accounts before calling a contact.
Easy and simple to use. Works well. Easily connected to my voip account. But... Very heavy on battery usage. In the past 24 hours it used 53% of the power. The entire Android system used 27% in the same period. Great if you don't mind recharging your phone frequently. >>>> Following on from the reply (8 Feb 2021) from IPTON: Thanks for responding. Actually I thought your VOIP app was excellent and it was only the power usage that prevented me from continuing to use it. If this problem is solved I will definitely be back. Your app has a very clean and simple interface - just what I wanted. Good luck.
One of the best sip dealer with lots of potential to be among the top. QR Code is great feature. Simple to use and very nice and clear UI. Have not tried the Walkie Talkie feature, wonder how it works, does it requires a special server for that? Thanks for giving us a great product and looking forward to see it also in other OS platform..
One of the best softphone apps I've found. I love the clean and simple UI. However it's missing a feature that would be useful to me: configurable dialing rules and/or home country selection. My service provider requires all (US) calls to be prefixed with 1, which is sometimes present and sometimes not in my Contacts.
Great working voip app that I think is the best after trying them all. I'm really pleased it supports sms which some other notable apps do not. Walkie talkie feature looks cool but I haven't been able to try it yet. All this functionality for free is amazing, but please support the developer by buying the extra features for one time cost... no subscription needed!
This app works fantastic, just one serious issue, it lacks the contact search box. Thanks found it. But can we have the search button on the main screen so that it is easy and quicker to find. Other that, thanks, the app is great and the voice quality and I would be buying additional features to use for my voip clients.
My inability to connect to freepbx turned out to be an internal firewall setting on freepbx which I thought I'd tried disabling but obviously didn't. As I said originally, connection to sipgate was flawless, and now connection to freepbx server equally great. Support was excellent. App is brilliant. Happily give both 5*s after ~4 days testing ... and I almost never give more than 4 to anything.
I tested various SIP Apps. This one is my favorite for UI, Ease and multi account / ring tones. But, in 24hours it used 8% of my battery. Unfortunately the developer won't use Push notifications allowing the app to be closed. So - uninstalled.
Just tried it. It's Ok, seems to work Ok for now. Simple. There are bugs and problems which don't make it on par with its main competitor zoiper though. The biggest for now is when I start entering a number it doesn't match it with contact list because of characters like spaces present in the number in system contact list. It should normalize numebrs when matching them. I guess this is the cause of others' complaining sipnetic didn't match incoming calls to names in contact list.
Just good, just works. Using free version. 4 stars just because it doesn't support g729. Also, lacking Brazilian Portuguese translation. Went for paid version because of call transfer feature. Much cheaper than Zooper, and as good as, even the free version.
Excellent sip app! The only reason I gave 4 stars is because it doesn't hangup properly. Microsip on windows does so it seems to be an issue with sipnetic for some reason. Edit: I tried it again with 2 other sip apps and they both do the same thing. Apparently there's a config issue that I hadn't realized on my asterisk server. Changed to 5 stars
this is a good looking and super easy to use SIP VoIP app. quick to set up my voip account on this app. and really like how you can turn off the account for when you do not want to be disturbed by incoming calls to the voip account. go into "manage accounts", move the slider switch to the left, and it's off. then whenever you want to turn on the account, just go into "+ add new account" and move the slider switch to the right on your voip account, and the account is on. yea! easy peasy! thanks!
This SIP client works well on my Pixel 3XL and I appreciate the ability to register to multiple SIP accounts simultaneously. However I am annoyed by the "busy" tone at the end of each call. Please offer us an option to not make any sound when a call is terminated.
Random disconnections from SIP provider during the day. Seems not to correctly handle Wireguard VPN connections, especially if directly configured on router. Dial from phone book not correctly managed. Battery drain. After months of use I decided to switch to another, more reliable client.
Good app overall. I have been using it exclusivley for a few months now mostly because I wanted multiple accounts. I find the 'look and feel' very nice. Every time I email with a question the response is always in a reasonable time and the answers are helpful. I have tried other apps but Sipnetic seems to be the best fit for me. I like Zoiper as well and GS Wave is okay but I prefer Sipnetic now. I like that it is being actively developed and the Sipnetic team seems to take feature requests seriously.
Looses connection after a while. I suspect when the app is put into the background by the android it disconnects. So you cannot use it for answering calls. For making calls it is ok.
First impressions is that this is a great alternative to cSipSimple. Only thing that would make it 5 stars is improving the rewrite capabilities to include adding values to a number. Ie add the number 1 to ten digit numbers.
nice enough app. just a few things... can you not hide it from recent apps? filling in my account details took ages as when i switch to chrome sipnetic forgets whrre i was in the add account process and i have to start again. secondly, can you increase the verbosity of the error messages? "failed to register" isnt much use.
It is a good app for 2 min. but then it starts to echo and just hang up by itself. Anyone else experienced this inconvenience? It is so disturbing and I had to deinstall the app because it is not reliable.
Works OK for my needs - when it stays registered with the SipGate service. Not sure why it's deregistering, got all the options I can think of to stop it set. Even got the app set to automatically start with Android and the battery options set at "no restrictions".
