The app said there were no drivers available, so I tried twice without a result. Suddenly there were two orders for the same ride active but the 'no driver available' message kept popping up and then the app crashed. So I took one of the two cabs. During the ride my driver received the information that the ride was cancelled so I hat to pay cash. Bad experience...
Terrible experience, tried to register for car sharing and: 1 - I filled lot of forms with all my d license and ID information, after that I was asked to take pictures. In the middle of the process the app crashed and came back to the main screen. I tried to fill out again, for my surprise the app didn't save any information, had fill out again, got an error and couldn't finish. 2 - There is no way to open a ticket for the error, just a FAQ, what a f... , how you don't have on app support??
Really quick and easy booking process. clear information to make a decision. Reviewing downwards as unable to use the app to view, add or manage one or multiple bookings. Effectively making the app unusable as an ongoing interface.
Horrible customer service and cars. Across 4 rental attempts I've had 3 cars that didn't work, one didn't unlock, 2 left me stranded, they have taken hundreds of EUR out of my account unauthorized and not yet refunded it. They offered nothing for my troubles, no effort was made to make up for this. Phone lines constantly down. Only bland eventual replies to e-mails with 'sorry for the inconvenience' type language but no real caring or effort to help the customer. Actually at a loss to even comprehend the lack of service and support.
the app does not recognize my drivers license so I can't register for app-only pick-up. and their hotline is down. the app and website UX is bad, too. not the quality you'd expect from a mid-priced car rental service
The app and the service is mostly fine, but I am not going to use them anymore because of their silly practice of reserving 20€ upfront for every ride. In most cases this is refunded quickly, but in some cases you wait weeks to get your money back. Call me old fashioned, but I think it's unethical to lock people's money away like this. It might not be Sixt's fault if the money takes so long to be refunded, but it's their choice as a business to hold the 20€ deposit in the first place.
Does not shows the weekend price a lot higher. Can look for chargers when you have a car. The "night" stile very bad to look for charger, can not see the streets, waters... The street chargers are ridicuosly slow 2kw only. The app should ask to take pictures of the car before and after use, and store them in the cloud.
I tried to register in the app. The registration failed. When I'm trying to register again the app responds that I'm registered. But it doesn't transition to login screen, always opens registration form. And there is no any support contact.
This is the best car sharing app in Amsterdam. Works fine most of the time but cars are not abundant and the parking zone in Amsterdam is limited. It's great that you can get a car in one city and leave it in another one.
I booked a car from the app. When i came to pick it up, the manager of the office said that the car isn't available, even if i had a reservation number. He said that the server has bugs and not working properly.
Best onboarding experience among all Carsharing apps I ever tried. Scanning of the id card and driver license went well and very quickly. I was able to reserve a car 5 min after downloading the app. Well done!
Several issues with Share. 1) 3D secure not working in app with credit card although it's works with everybody else. Sixt, you do NOT need to enable it per provider. Sixt customer service not very helpful with credit card issue. As a customer you're stuck in limbo. Credit card company confirmed that Sixt didn't use 3D secure, that's why it was declined. But Sixt customer support points back to credit card company. 2) It would be helpful to show the license plate number when trying to identify a car. 3) The minutes start counting while you need to unplug from a charging station and put the cable in the car. The app logs you out after a while. More minutes to pay to log into the app again and end the ride. 4) No support phone# in app to call.
The verification process is very buggy. Very hard to scan documents, and during the process the app crashes. Otherwise the app works fine. The damage check/claim is a bit dangerous as well, they try to pin the damage on you without any concrete proof. The prices however are lower than other car sharing.
DO NOT INSTALL!!!!!!! The worst app i have ever used!!! Yesterday i ordered a cab to the airport, the taxi driver left one of my suitcases in the street (has expensive , important stuff and medicines) !!!!! I didn't figure out intill i got to the airport and had to go back home again , they charged me 120euro, refused to admit the fault and no one picks up when i call !!!!!!!
Had a very bad experience booking with them. Went to the pickup spot to find i can't get the car after waiting for an hour and unable to get a refund also. None of their customer care services work
More expensive than website. The deals on the website aren't on the app so it's more expensive. Fine for once you've booked your rental, but don't use it for booking.
It was awful. I booked a Cabrio in Dusseldorf a week ago. Today I arrived to the station, and they said that there are no cars. I cancelled and booked at another station. The same thing happened. I tried several times.
App randomly requires registration again and again. Nobody to talk to on the phone. No contact with customer support. Weshare answer the phone immediately. Sixt seems to be completely unstaffed.

So far really bad. The license/id check does not work. The the help section simply reports another error when trying to send a message.
I booked my ride and it never came . I was waiting for confirmation from driver which never showed up. My card was charged before the driver even confirmed the ride and I was standing there and waiting for more than 30 minutes. Then after charging me, the application notified me that the are no available drivers around
Scam alert The app is a complete scam. Today took two rides, first one I got charged from the credit card more than what the app shows. In the second case the I got charged twice two different amounts and of course the "correct" one was three euro more than what predicted by the app. Avoid at all cost. Shame that google maps propose them. Lowering my review also in there, hopefully they remove it.
Don't use Sixt in UAE. Booked it to pick us up from the airport and the driver didn't show up. Was still charged and no one wanted to hear our complaint. Avoid avoid avoid
Cannot import reservations manually. I tried this because my reservations are not visible on my bookings page. Can you please fix this?
Tried to register for 3 days already. Systematically get the same error message after entering my name and first name telling me "something went wrong try again later". Fed up!
This is one great rental car company with great customer service. I rented from them before and they really helped me out. I had a great experience with them overall and I definitely recommend them to others..
worse registration experience, no other car sharing app asks for face picture, document scans are littered with bugs, gave up the app, thankfully plenty of alternatives available
More expensive than website! Overly simplistic and lacks options and information from website but offensively; it's more expensive in the app than online - inexcusable.
It was easy to reserve a car, modify or cancel a reservation until recently. Now hardly anything can be done after completing the reservation. Still practical though in the ability to add options such as damage waver and additional driver. Available car options are clear and well presented with sufficient information.
