Nice drawing app! I use it for all of my digital art. One thing that would be nice, instead of automatically adding pictures to the gallery, make it an option. Also, when you open it up, it automatically opens up to your most recent piece. This includes things you deleted. I once deleted a sketch, and then reopened the app to try again, and ended up using the deleted sketch canvas. It didn't save that afterwards.
This app has a great amount of variety and is good for the simple sketches and little drawings I do. I cannot speak yet about large projects and projects with more than 5 layers. The UI is great outside of some pretty simple implementations. Such as constant access to the undo button. Or at least some kind of settings menu where you can toggle little things like that. Not being able to type in the brush size you want can also be very annoying
Amazing usability on the phone. Less useful on a desktop. Idk why the versions are so greatly different. It might not be feature rich but it is the easiest I've found to make digital art quickly and intuitively. Switching between tools and colors is so quick and doesn't interrupt the flow of work. I'd give it 5 stars but the desktop version lacks compared to the phone version and I have found occasional bugs rendering the layers.
I love this app! It's really good for different types of projects, but there's two things I wish were on the app. 1- I used to have this on my old Acer computer and there was an extra little icon for more brushes that isn't here anymore and I think it could be cool if added it back. 2- An option for animating would aslo be pretty nice as well, especially since it's already got a nice free feel to it when it comes to drawing. And my thing keeps kicking me out, but overall it's awesome!
This app is a really good free drawing app the only thing I don't like about this app is the eraser you have to click multiple buttons just to get to the eraser and then click more buttons to get back to the regular brush. Rinse and repeat. But other than that this app is amazing 🤩. There are no ads. In my experience I have not gotten one single ad it's amazing.
Great app, use it all the time, EXEPT I was working very hard on a piece of work, then it glitches and kicks me out, making my art go back to square one. This was super frustrating and it did this to me already once, 😑 . I worked like an 2 hourse on it! And boom, glitches, and dissappear. I wish this didn't happen bc I would have done a 5 star. Plus please put a animating thing on it for mobile? That would be awesome!
As a user who only uses the basic app, I find it brilliant, but a few improvements could be made (which might be available in the version & extras you can pay for). My 1 BIG problem with it, is that the eraser tool leaves a ghost image that you don't see until uploading the work. Pretty annoying, but if you go over the same area a few times, it seems to erase the ghosting remnants. Recently It crashes & only half your pic is saved, destroying all your work. Not used it since because of this.
Honestly, this app is very good! No ads, no purchases, all is good. And the amount of brushes in this program is really nice! The only time I would give this 5 stars is that you fix one little problem. Everytime I make a drawing that would spend a lot of my time on it, every 3 to 4 days, the drawing is just... gone. Like, completely gone and corrupted and I can't continue said drawing. I'd enjoy it if you fixed it, thank you ^^
Overall it offers the best brushes and great variety of options to choose from, but the app crashed and I lost over 7 really big projects that took me days to complete and now everytime I try to open them it says "oops, failed to open image". I can't get thoughs back and never saved them since the app has never done this before. I'm generally at a lost for words on how much this hurt never getting though hours back.
Incredible app for free, without any ads or full version IAP. It has a few bugs, like random crashes when selecting the color sampling tool, or opacity not applying correctly when tapping sometimes, but nothing that couldn't be fixed with the back button, or a restart. Auto save is very reliable. Only things that would be nice are a customizable Favories section for brushes and an automatic color saver, that saves the last few colors you used.
No ads, intuitive, easy to use. I have found a glitch that undoes some work, but it wasn't much anyways so I don't really care. I do want a "reset orientation" button because sometimes I rotate my canvas and can't put it back to the exact orientation so I have to save and re-enter the picture for me to reset it. It's amazing, though. UPDATE: There is a glitch where the canvas blacks out and occasionally crashes. Please fix this.
I have used this app for all drawing needs for a few years and have loved it. Being able to export my work directly to an email or another program has been excellent. I'm not sure what is going on, but only recently has started putting all my drawings in the trash can or disappearing them out of existence which makes my anziety skyrocket. For a free app, it has given me many years of joy, but I will have to move on now. This problem only started occurring after I made more folders to organize.
I've used this app for quite some time and have been quite pleased with it. My only issue with app is that some drawings that I am working on disappear completely. I look through my gallery, trash, and my files but nothing. It has been twice already and it's honestly frustrating when that happens. I've already tried looking online for answers but there isn't much regarding this issue. At this point I'm going to either screenshot most of my drawings or moving everything to another drawing app.
Honestly, one of the top 3 best sketching AND full drawing apps there is on the play store. There are no catches or payments needed. Just install the app, get to know it, and you will be able to create professional art on mobile or tablet. If you are looking for the best free art app, this will be your go to. It has so much potential, and could easily become the number 1 if a few more tools or features were added. But eitherways, a top tier app without a doubt.
This app is great. But recently its been losing my files. I do a lot of designing on here. Losing drawings that I NEED is annoying. Even if I can reload an image of the save that doesn't back up the multiple layers that just got forced into a single flat image. Big works become IMPOSSIBLE to work with. If I can retrieve them at all. I really hope this gets fixed.
Used to be a brilliant app. I'm a photorealistic portrait artist and the app has everything I need and more. Then the app crashes and you lose 8 hours of work. You can reopen the app, try again, and everything is fine for the next 10 hours. You accidentally enter the gallery and try to get back into the painting. The file is corrupted and now you've lost 15 hours of work. Please fix this, it's genuinely become unusable.
There are some minor issues, like everytime I leave the app it automatically saves my work-But also, doesn't allow me to go back to undo some mistakes which is a bother. Out of all the apps, I've been using this one the longest. It may lack some tools or features, but for my opinion, it's the easiest and simplest way to draw something.
I don't know why this is rated under 4 stars... Maybe it's missing something other people are looking for that I'm not - like some high level graphic design tools or something - which is not something I personally even notice. It's got tons of pencils, brushes and tools all with very realistic look/feel/application/physics. I kill more time doodling on this more than any game. The best app I've found for that purpose by quite a margin.
This app is super easy to navigate, and there are many things I love about this! First of all, there are NO ads! Which makes it a big deal for me! Second, there is an ability to record, and drawings usually save after deleting the app. There is one issue I have though.. on a smaller device, I'm unable to use landscape mode and some items are harder to access, if this were to be fixed, then I'd have no problem! Other than that, I can't seem to understand why the rating is bad
Works okay as a drawing app, but lacks important features such as a crop tool, or the ability to start a sketch on an image. If you want to draw on an image, you'll have to create a sketch and import the image - but you won't be able to crop down to the image resolution, so you'll have to look up the resolution beforehand. This seems like a pretty basic feature to me, and accounts for most of my use cases, so it's a big inconvenience.
Sketchbook works great for the way I like to draw. I haven't found many other apps that blend as well. I seem to lose my work randomly. I will click on a drawing that I've dumped hours into and it won't load and gives errors and will never return even tho I can see it in my catalog. It makes me hate this app so much. The unreliable nature of it made me quit using it. Wish they could fix the issues.
I'm gonna need yall to update this app because it keeps crashing and removing my progress and I can no longer open and work on old projects. You haven't updated since July. This is my favorite and one of the very few good drawing apps. Artists who have supported you for years feel like you pretty much don't value them and their art right now. If we lose this app, we won't have many other options. Please fix!
The app is easy to use once you get used to it but when I do more than one sketch at a time it'll say "Oops failed to open image" -update- when it fails to open a drawing it's because the photo has been deleted in my gallery but there is another problem. The options for text is very limited on mobile devices so it doesn't fit with the drawing and I have to write it out but that doesn't look good either it would be nice if there were other fonts
I have been loving this app and using it for a few years now, but recently it has been getting more and more glitchy. When I'm in the middle of drawing these black square areas will cover part or most of the drawing area. When I zoom in and out they move and cover different areas. This is starting to become pretty problematic as it keeps me from using the app for it's intended purpose, drawing. Also the app crashes a lot when I exit out of a drawing or open the app. Please update and fix it soon
I would've given 5 stars a week ago but lately the app has been refusing to import images, saying that the "file format or size is not supported yet". There's nothing I can do, I've tried all types of files and even files that I have successfully opened before. It's just broken? Shame that it happened in the middle of inktober but apparently I'm not the only person who suddenly experiences malfunctions. Otherwise the app is great and has so many options and it's free. But please fix this.
