I'm kind of a newbie to skew-t's and really would appreciate a user's guide and legend for the graph, e.g. what are the horizontal and vertical sliders doing, what's the green line and the two black bars, etc. I can read articles, but need something specific to this app.
Great quick skew t , good for any airport or use lat / long . Interactive, so you can change the ground temperature / trigger point. Models including bak, named, op40 and more. Useful zoom feature, plus numerical top of lift / cloud base and temperature as well add wind information.
It was a decent app, though not truly necessary as all the data can be found on the Web. But now it wants access to everything on the phone to function at all. It's not going to happen. Absolutely not. I understand the desire to log for debugging purposes, but let's just put it this way: HELL NO. You do not need this for routine operation.
I don't like that the app requires too much controll over your device. For example, your photos. It seems suspicious.
Awesome app, Only thing is my phone screen is large but skew t box is too small for my screen. It would be better if its size and aspect ratio changes with screen size.
I love the way this app displays the data! Slider is really nice. However it could use some additional models; Alan, would you consider adding the HRRR?
it never loads any data and crashes almost constantly. would probably be a good idea if it actually worked.
If you really know what you're doing, this is everything. This is going to cut my crazy daily monsoon season analysis time in half if it reliably works.
Great app, thank you. I have been watching the READY.arl.nooa Skew-t on daily basis for some 15 years. Time for a change. Too bad there is no donate button ;)
Fantastic app! I'm still sorting through the controls to get the most out of it, but really great so far! Thanks, Alan!
Love this app. Saves me loads of driving to thermal sites, just to get scunked. Just wish i could hold more than 3 site favorites.
Used to love it. Now it requires access to my photos/media/files??? worked fine before. Uninstalling now
Great little program to see cape index, wind speed and direction!!!! Great for storms
This app makes skew-t diagrams usable again! Lovely!
Excellent...a lot easier than using NOAA site.
does a great job with the update ita even better
Great for soaring forecast! Nice app, even for foreign countries. Thanks Alan. My previous request was done perfectly. Even more as it aceppts more airports. Thanks!
Great app for determining what the weather is going to be like (if you know how to read a skew-t plot of course). Perfect for glider pilots for forecasting when the thermals will kick off and where cloud base will be.
Thanks for building the app. I am a big fan of the rucsoundings site. There was an issue that was fixed right away by the author of the software. Thank you!!!! I look forward to using this app.
Really nice app. However I can not access the "settings" menu to change units. I mean the menu is just not here... I'm using Samsung S4. Any idea about how to make the "settings" menu appear? [EDIT] with the help of the developer Alan, it appears that the menu button is located at the bottom left on my phone. => SOLVED :-)
Developer was quick to fix and update app when it was broken. Great app for meteorologists and pilots!
Two suggestions: The time for the slider needs detail. Is it referencing zulu or local? I can't tell. Also, a brief description of the models in the info wouldn't hurt. I'm familiar with some, but not all. That's easy to look up though. Aside from that, absolutely excellent app! Makes upper air analysis a breeze and a real value to GA ops. I'll be recommending it. Thank you very much for this!
This is one awesome app! Great work! BUT LAST DAYS IT DOES NOT WORK. FOR LAT/LON POINTS GFS SAYS NO DATA!
Simple & intuitive interface, even on small devices. Excellent application!
Where lines come together is cloud height. Simple & fast to use.
Not bad for what it is. Just need some clarification on certain things, most importantly are the model times on the slider Zulu or local? It's pretty important. I see others have asked the same. With a little spiffing up here and there it could be great.
