its nice having a guided curated program to work on. Some of the beginner stuff is a little boring, but thats kind if also the gold of it, because it prepared you for the more exciting stuff! I like to add some music playing with the video to make it more of an event then just being talked at, but movement and breathing guidance is clear and very helpful 👍 i love the notification settings too because it prompts me to make sure I 'show up'. Definitely worth it so far!
Been doing the beginner series the last 5 days to help keep mobile during isolation. Loved how soothing the instructors voice is and how it helps you every step of the way. Can't wait to get better and better and hopefully reach the expert level by the end of the summer! Very very good and worth it.
Overall I like the app, it is challenging enough but not too much and the workout recommendations are spot on. However, it's a major issue that the videos are limited to 1/3 of the screen. Would be much better to display them horizontally with the screen rotation.
I'm an absolute beginner to yoga, but I am finding the introductory lessons to be the perfect balance of difficulty to challenge me, and level of ease to follow along to. Three lessons in and I'm hooked; already can't wait to do the next ones. To top it off, I feel great after each one. I can't recommend Skill Yoga enough. If you're unsure about it, just go for it. You won't regret it
Awesome. These are great for me. I'm not flexible and shy away from upper body work in the gym. I've recently been injured and cannot run, so found Skill Yoga during the first lockdown. They have such a hugely variety of sessions to cover all levels. I can totally feel the difference. Cannot recommend enough
It's good and challenging. Nice interface and support, but doesn't address specific needs and isn't personalised like the company say. I've been dedicated to skill yoga for more than a year, at least 3 times a week. Many times after putting much time and effort in the flexibility hasn't actually increased. Skill yoga did provide support with the above, but it was basic and they said to see a PT regarding limitations. This was disappointing because it shows these workouts are not personalised.
Really great app. The workouts are genunine and move at a good pace. Alot of yoga apps go too quickly and are unrealistic. This is ideal for sports people looking to learn about mobility and stretching. The mindfullness elements is also a welcome touch.
I was able to get one year of free trial via a program by my employer. However in order to use it I need to enter payment details as it would cost after a year. Technically not an issue and quite normal...however I can only use a credit card which still isn't the most common thing to use for payment in my country and therefore I don't have one. So unless I find a friend that has one and that I can use...registration was pointless. Would be cool it other stuff like PayPal is possible.
I think the app is nice and clean and easy to use, I have enjoyed all the content fr beginner, singles, mobility and skills. The only downside that stops me giving this 5 stars is that the skills videos often freeze with only audio running, which makes it very hard to follow.
Really like this app. I tried in the past several other yoga apps and Yutube channels but this one had me hooked - it approaches the practice from the 'sports/ athletic' angle while still giving you a full yoga experience. It even calls the sessions 'workouts' - not sure if this is for everyone but for me it certainly works great. The instruction videos and narrations are top notch and the app is well polished. 5 stars from me.
I am enjoying it a lot so far. Easy to use and the app recommends workouts based on your fitness level that are always just right in difficulty.
Great all round app. The timings can be a bit weird. If you're holding a position for a while with no sound coming from the phone, you think it's frozen but then he starts talking again. Only issue I have tbh
Great App. Good progressions. Sometimes a little fast paced for beginner, foundation sessions, but overall good. Great for individuals who are not looking for overly spiritual or mindful yoga.
Super great and easy to use. There are so many different trainings to pick from. You can really just go at your own pace yet be pushed a bit with reminders and setting your schedule so you don't go full lazy and not train.
So far I really like it. It doesn't mention the mediations unless I click on a separate video for meditation. And the workouts are so good. I do break a bit of a sweat and wake up sore the next day sometimes. 🙃
Slow the f down, if you want to relax avoid this app. The sequences are done way too quicky. Amittedly only from one class which I didnt finish as there was no time to hold the pose befoe they moved on which ruined it for me personally. Was tempted to subscribe for the 50% off voucher but not any more . To improve just slow down , will try again if I hear of any improvements. App UI is good though.
I subscribed on a yearly basis. I am happy about my purchase for now but I have one request and wish it would be taken care of. I travel alot and right now, I don't have access to good internet connection. So sometimes I don't get the chance to practice because all their videos requires internet. I wanna be able to download the videos. Just like YouTube premium let you. So I'm basically paying and not being able to use the app so I download yoga videos on YouTube instead :/
Great videos for the athletic guy who wants to keep good mobility and reduce injury when doing other workouts. The videos are easy to follow but tough, you will never feel like you are waiting your time. Worth every penny, I'm almost through my second year and my progress has been great
The app is nice, i really enjoyed, but there is not to many variaty becoming a little repetitive if you are beginner and you can't do the advance classes. If there would be more programs for beginners to help them with more variety would be better and i will give the 5 starts
Excellent. The lessons are clear and though it is hard, it makes the breathing techniques easy to follow and I am now able to follow a full flow yoga and enjoy it a lot. I feel already changes in my body. I tried lot of apps and this is one of the best.
I payed for a 1 year subscription when it was 50% off. But it charged me every 3 months at the full price. Supposedly the discounted offer is only available on the website and not on the app, never saw any information on this. Very annoying.
Just downloaded it, and will be doing my first session tomorrow. One immediate thing though: I pulled the trigger because there was a 50% discount, but that discount was never applied. I assume it's a mistake, but it seems like the kind of thing the devs should get right the first time. Edit: Support told me to cancel subscription and get another subscription through the website vs the app. Support has been helpful in terms of how to do this, but still seems like an unnecessary hassle to me.
I'm new to yoga. This is really helpful. They guide you through each workout really clearly. I'm doing the beginner program again as it was pretty challenging for me. I dunno what else to expect from a yoga app... It does precisely what it's supposed to. So yeah 5 stars.
I'm loving this app. The practices are reasonably hard but the flow is good and the app itself is v well put together The instruction is clear and precise. I'd like for it to be able googlecast it to my big screen as sometimes following on a phone screen proves difficult. If I could cast I'd rate it five stars
I am a newbie to the yoga world and only just started using this app. Loving it at the moment. There's a variety of programs to choose from and lots of different workouts. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to give yoga a go at home.
Within just 4 days my back pain is already gone and I have learned so much. The app is user friendly and it keeps you accountable to your goals and sessions. As well as you don't have to go find a workout or think it does it for you all you have to do is push play.
Videos often freeze in middle of workout despite having good Internet connection. Workouts are also wayyyy too hard for beginners!! I'm maybe not flexible, but I'm otherwise in good shape and not over weight - you seem to need super human strength even for the very beginner videos. Overall very disappointed as it looked promising!! A complete waste of money. I don't recommend to anyone, unless they have already experience in calisthenics and/or in very good shape....
