The game is exactly like the original, except it adds a skill system. Each class has 3 unique passive skills and 2 unique active skills.
Warrior passive skills:

It is very good... Only I have one grievance. There are no new Hatsune episodes. I really wanted to see more, yet over the course of YEARS there have been no new ones. Please add more. Also, a few more problems I'd like to point out. While I have encountered no glitches of my own, I notice that mercs often get in the way, and become virtually useless after the 4th boss, especially if you are the Mage, since the mystic robe also affect mercs. Wands could also use a bit of retweaking.
TBH I love this a lot. The game is so much fun and it's a lot easier then some of the other versions of pixel dungeon but there's a really bad bug that will probably end with a lot of people deleting this, there's a bug where you get stuck somewhere forever, it happens when moving, attacking, picking stuff up basically anything that takes a turn, when ends up happening is it's almost like you get stuck in the waiting animation that plays when monsters take there turn but it never ends until reset
The skill system is a nice touch and a spin on the original formula. Adding artifacts like those from Shattered PD and a deity system (which appears to be exclusive to the Amazon store's Sprouted PD) would make me find a way to give a 6th star. ALSO: Goo is easy to defeat on almost any version with an Earthroot seed and a health potion. (XD google has no idea what type of game this is.) Only complaint is for the Chromebook- 2-finger scroll should move the camera, but instead messes up the screen
I love it, but there's a bug in the scenarios where the militia and mercenaries just keep killing each other, ignoring the monsters. Sometimes even Hatsune's echoes start doing that. It makes the scenarios way more difficult than they should be.
You replied to my last review. I like the skill system, I just feel like you don't get as much out of it as the old one. But, It did make the Huntrest stronger. I just feel like there should be passive level up skill(s) like when you hit 10 or so. Becuase I never have enough strength as the Warrior to use Plate armor, even after leveling it up atleast for a while. I think like level 10 he should get 2+ strength or something, Huntrest immuting to mystery meat affects, ect. BUT, you did balance it.
Skillful Pixel Dungeon; cool, awesome, and packed with fun😝! Fantastic game: wonderful stuff, great dungeon layout; outstanding😁! And Hatsune, the new character, is awesome😆! However, I noticed that there was this 'Cold Girl' sleeping at the top left corner of the First Wave Map😵. Is this a glitch or something😕? But that doesn't change the fact that I love this game😍. I recommend you download it😎.
the only drawback i can see at this time is that your companion sometimes blocks your movement, which has already become annoying, and im barely on the second floor. will change rating as i play further. Edit/Response to Dev: i know you can ckick to swap, but thats what i meant when i said 'annoying.'
If I'm mid-playthtough and go into another app, when I return to the game it opens at the main menu. When i try to resume the playthrough it just gives me an error screen making me have to start over. Thought it was just that one playthrough until it happened two more times. Send help
One of my favorite mods of the original. Close enough to the original I love, but with a few really fun features/items/mechanics added. The difficulty levels and skill tree are especially appreciated.
Its a fun game i've been playing for years now, never got tired of it, ads are optional, its near perfect and the low storage makes everything better since low end devices can play too, i just suggest make an infite level generation for infinite fun!!
This is DEFINITELY my favorite out of all the pd games..... It's not crazy hard and it seems to have a lot of additional detail to the gameplay. It's very fun! I really hope to see continuous updates! = ). I ALWAYS love seeing more storyline added.
Probably the best version of Pixel Dungeon and trust me I've played lots! Super cool developer with lots of cool added features. Would definitely recommend to those looking for a fun challenging way to kill some time.
The game is good but there is one problem.. in hatsune's missions the generald and the army and temari fight each other, instead of winning fights easily it becomes harder as they are fighting each other. Please it needs fix
Not gonna lie, it's easier to beat than the original pixel dungeon simply because easy difficulty exists. Great game all around and the skill tree is an amazing addition.
Skillful pixel dungeon was very fun to play but pretty easy at first up until you get hell difficulty then it gets hard but yes fun fun game.
Great game! Makes me think of different ways to defeat enemies with the stuff found around the floors especially the boss fights.
Game was amazing in the past, however with the rise of Shattered Pixel Dungeon it lost its uniqueness as Shattered also has a form of skills as of recent updates.
Most pixel dungeon mods are great, this one is among them. Although not my favorite pixel dungeon mod, this one includes a new and refreshing take on it. Skills and hiring of mercenaries spices things up in a great way! Would reccomend.
Probably the best Pixel Dungeon mod available. I hope development continues and the game keeps improving. Would like to see a save function.
The game is great and I've played most of the mods of the Pixel Dungeon and this is one of the most developed. But i gotta say that the whole system needs to be refined a bit. Luck shouldn't be the extremely overpowering factor in the game, leaving little to no room for strategies. The hunger system should be a little less on the forefront, so that the other more major aspects of the game could be enjoyed more. The too frequent "You are hungry" irritates me to no end. Needs some immediate work.
