Content is decent, but the app experience is pretty poor. First, it takes forever to load. Even opening a book just to see the summary takes a long time. Second, you can't add books to multiple categories. If you want to organize the books you're reading, you're out of luck, you can use a single label (more like folders in you computer rather than labels). And lastly, the discovery is pretty bad - no filter by publisher, search brings a lot of irrelevant titles, etc.

Nice content, but the app needs work. Need the ability to highlight text in books and free scroll (the rubber band pagination makes it very difficult to read a practice question split between two pages) , download content (everything I wanted to look at wasn't available for offline use). Also, the video player only works vertically, which was very unexpected. Still, this app is light-years better than it was a few years back, so I have high hopes for the needed improvements. Keep up the good job

App is slow to load. Sometimes it doesn't load at all (like now for instance). Interface is clunky. The quality of the audio books is poor. Also when the audio is playing in the background, if you go back to the app, the audio controls are frozen. Lessons are another issue; where if you leave the app and come back without closing, the framing of the text starts to shift, cutting off ends of sentences.

Abysmal experience compared to Audible or Libby. Audio can't be downloaded. There is no speed option. Slow to load anything. Hard to search. When an audiobook is playing, it doesn't appear in notifications so you can't control anything if you are outside the app. Why? This is super basic things that Spotify and any other music app has. Why doesn't this show chapters in an audiobook? How would I navigate 5 hours of content on an 1 inch size toggle? Crazy behind. Not very user friendly.

It's a poorly arranged interface. I've signed up for a course, and when I look up the lessons it's a nightmare. I can't download them to my phone, the lessons are in a different order than the website, and you can't tell at a glance about which lessons you've completed already. The mobile website is considerably better in terms of usability and performance. It worked well on my budget Nokia6.1 and chrome.

The app takes so much time loading for any action. And it can't finish loading at least half the time when I'm using mobile data. It's slow even with wifi. Audiobooks don't respond to bluetooth controls (can't pause or play) unlike other video or music apps. Using Skillsoft from my phone's web browser is much faster than using this app. Also, audiobooks have the option of being saved offline, but regular books can't be saved for offline reading??? This app still needs a lot of work.

I appreciate that I can access materials from this app. It does load pretty slowly though, plus I have to download the books every time I read them. Also many of the diagrams in books are cut off and sometimes content from one page spills over on the next (meaning it overlaps the next page), making it difficult to read sometimes.

Convenient, but lacking features and functionality. Video player is really very basic ... lacks fast forward, rewind, speed control, closed captions, full screen mode, background app playback. Not all content is available for the mobile app either. So much potential and so many opportunities to make a difference.

Once you do manage to log in and get past the sluggish UI, the content you want to watch still has to be supported on mobile devices. None of my assigned learming is, not even one course, so I've just wasted quite a bit of time for nothing. This App is a halfhearted attempt at slapping a mobile front-end on an ageing solution. I hope this is only an interim solution before SkillSoft comes up with something more adequate...

very slow loading navigating and loading the contents. Sone cases they do not have latest versions and latest books in the field, and for most of the books the offline version is not available. regarding audiobooks once loaded and started to play you can't control it if you navigate out of it. You'll have the book playing while trying to find it to stop it

Two small issues still remain with the newest version. First, the app does have noticeable lag when accessing basic resources and seems to try and reauthenticate in background. Second, for some reason the Android version continues to cut off some of the text at the bottom of the screen when reading books. Very odd display bug that somehow keeps perpetuating through the revisions 🤔.

The content is good enough, but using the app constantly frustrates you in small ways. There's no landscape mode. Offline availability is mostly not. Marking books for later reading doesn't exist, and I've resorted to off-site lists. All in all, this could definitely be much better.

Great app but makes me to connect my wifi multiple times. The app is opened and should be connected until I close the session o app. Also, can't download or make many books for offline reading, they should have option since it's annoying that I have to exit and close app and reopen app again to read the book I was reading before. App is great for other features and great selection to read from.

I like the idea of having an app on my phone to use the resources of skillsoft. But this app seems to be broken. I feel that the app takes too long to load content. The book reading app doesn't work very well and does not allow changes to settings or navigation within the book. Just fix the app please.

Just downloaded the app, try to open a book, and says that I need to be online. I click the "Go Online" button, and it takes me to my WiFi settings for my phone, where it shows WiFi is on and connected. Tried just using 4G instead of WiFi, no go. Tried several other work arounds in the router including doing some port forwarding and placing phone in a DMZ, no go. Cannot and will not recommend this app to others.

I use the desktop web version, with my group's user and password. I wanted to switch to tablet for mobility, but I am forced to use a Microsoft live account and my group account is not recognized. Furthermore, before signing in, the app gives you the possibility to try it, but almost all the courses crashed.

It's very slow to bring up details of my favourites etc. Which is not good if I'm trying to set up an audio book before I set off in the car. The download facility is not intuitive difficult to understand if I have actually downloaded or wether I'm streaming as it takes so long to get to the resume position.

I can't even get passed the login screen. I put in my Skillport username and tap "next". The button turns gray. Nothing happens from then, no indication that my action is processing or anything. When I delete a character in my username the "next" button turns blue again. Then I press "next", it turns gray, and again nothing happens. The cycle repeats like that never moving past the login screen.

Horrendous app; terrible UI, unresponsive, every screen updates takes 30 seconds or more (on a 50Mb link), and the app crashed 8 times in a 10 minute period. This app is a perfect example of everything not to do in app development, coupled with poor infrastructure, design, and implementation.

While the app is good for finding and viewing courses, there is no option to cast to a device. Study guides also do not render properly. The entire section loads on one page with no ability to scroll through the info.

I like the content, the catalog, and the search. However, the player isn't right. It doesn't get fullscreen or landscape so I have to watch the videos with only half of the screen. please fix that and I will change my rate.

This app does not offer anything new over what you get by accessing Skillsoft via the browser. In fact the app experience is worse as it offers less functionality. You can't add notes or comments when reading a book. The bookmarks feature is unpredictable as to whether it will actually work. Browser experience is better. If you need offline access, download pdf from browser and read via Kindle app. Or even better, get a Safari online account and app which is much more feature rich.

Slow, crashes a lot, freezes, no options for playing audio at an accelerated rate, downloading for offline is confusing and maybe broken. It works, but is typical of enterprise software that you use because you have to, not because you want to.

Playback issues on audiobooks. Mainly that the audio just stops after 5-10 minutes and you have to go back to the book and click Resume - super annoying when commuting. Also the audio quality is terrible. Sounds super compressed. I'm no audiophile, this is just poor quality audio.

App needs a lot of improvements. it takes 45 seconds start a book or pause one after listening for some time - all because it's looking up non-useful information on their servers (e.g. related titles). it's also buggy losing the bookmark where I stop listening to a book. Needs a lot more on the basics!
