Go to take a picture, because I can't finish a pool and move on to the next before I have a picture, and the app crashes. Restart the app, take another picture, and the app crashes. Restart my phone, restart the app, take another picture, and finally, I am ready to move on to the next pool. It's not like I get paid by the pool or anything, or I have anything better to do with my time besides waiting for this app to do something it should just be able to do. Oh wait, yes I do!
Is nice for tracking chemical usage and things that need to be scheduled. Nice got letting customers know what's going on. Would be nice to check profits by the day instead of every pool collectively.
Overall, Skimmer has made my life simpler to keep record of customers etc. It has been great, until recently. App keeps lagging to the point of needing to close and restart it. Selection tabs do not register or dissappear until you scroll over them again, then they reappear. Currently have the Samsung Galaxy Note10+ Please look into this. Thank you
Everytime I open the app it starts from the very beginning. Each time I attempt to go into each account. The app needs permission to access files on my device but I can't choose from gallery. Opened it yesterday and all my accounts doubled on 1 particular day. Far from perfect.
The Best and improved regularly! Very robust system, developer is active and responsive. This is a must have for our service! UPDATE: Been using for 13 months now. Very happy. We are now 99% paper free. Ive learned tricks to better track employee time, a work around for a camera bug, and creative integrations of "work orders" to remind techs of certain extra tasks. I can easily run a report to determine which accounts are chem hogs, I can see which employees like to sit in the truck between stops
Great App for sooo many facets, but glitches on non-iphone platforms and leads to adding an extra hour to my day because I don't have the right phone apparently... When I had an iphone, it was seemless, no issues at all... Now I've got an android because my iphone took a swim after bouncing off the pool deck (I know I'm not the only one.. lol.. fml) and the app continues to shut down and reset anytime I take a picture... Doing 15 pools a day, adding 5 min a pool for reset. An extra hour sucks...
Loooooovve! This program! We tried a different pool program and it was terrible! This has been extremely user friendly and easy to navigate. SO thankful that we didn't stick with the other and moved to Skimmer Pro!
Skimmer is awesome! Tracks route stops & everything done/used, gives turn by turn directions, tracks work orders, auto emails customers a summary report after stops... and SO MUCH MORE. Very happy with the app.
GREAT customer service, excellent idea for pool care service app. However, ADMIN should have the ability to upload photographs for work orders to give the job context. (Which valve needs to be changed...? ) photograph with finger-pointing would be helpful. For economy of motion, reoccurring tasks should populate for that client and the service tech that cares for them without having to then create a separate work order. Excellent app for managing a route of any size. Keeps permanent records and pictures for accountability. Easy to reach customer service too!
Poor development. Have several issues within the programming code itself. Also will not integrate with quick books properly. Use at your own risk. These guys need to learn a few things before charging money for this junk.
After speaking to Ryan the customer service manager regarding not being able to hear their customer support. His response rather than fixing the issue was do you want to cancel! Some companies don't want to resolve their issues they just want to lose business till they're totally out of business and somebody better comes along and takes away all of their business like Amazon! Great model Amazon more companies are focused on your success and management unlike this company!
keeps freezing while I'm inputting water values and requires a restart of app. have reset memory and phone now it happens every pool. Samsung galaxy s8
After new update app. run so slow and stop. I have to reopen the app many times Also i can not upload a picture camera app is not open for this update.
After getting the Samsung s21 ultra the freezing issue is gone and the photos are much more crisp. I also want to thank the folks at skimmer for troubleshooting my issues. Thank you so much
Most frustrating app i have used. I am getting motion sick trying to use it. Great idea, but the way the app works is not practical for a pool guy...
The best! Keeps track of everything related to your accounts, everything. Makes running a large route simple.
I would gladly buy this app or subscribe with google pay, but having to go to an external site in order to pay, that defeats the purpose of me trying to protect myself, never got to use it had to uninstall it

App crashes 3/5 times I try to take a picture. Please add option to upload pictures taken outside app.

Never worked right once. Easier to just break out the calculator yourself.

Amazing app. Improves communication with staff and customers. It does a great job with tracking and planning. Is very easy to use and train staff. The app does get cranky every now and then and won't finish a stop or accept a picture. Usually a second try works.
