I really like the app and the service - found it very easy and reliable. The only reason I subtracted a star is that there aren't heaps of businesses in my area to choose from when ordering. Would use it more if there were more choices. The businesses that are there though are very good.
Does the job well however i wish searching for a cafe wasn't so fickle and just more simple. The whole point is to order ahead. I have to search by area first, then scroll through a big list of possible cafes, and then click the cafe I want.. it'll be easier if I could search by name. Or whatever else makes it easy
It is a easy to use, well built app. I just wish that there was a way to give feedback on the café when the app says "ready in 5 minutes" but they actually take 20 and you end up in line anyway. I do not mind a service charge when provided with the service, but twice this café has had me waiting 🙄
Used this for over a year. Initally impressed. Unfortunately 3 times the venue was supposed to be open, charged each time and when I got there the shop is closed yet the app is running. No fast link for resolution, pretty obvious should be an option now I have to chase it up if I want my 15 dollars back.
6/10/20 - I've updated my rating as I have not been double charged again. So I'm giving the benefit of the doubt to connection issues at the time. The app works well, I'm just disappointed that I'm now charged a surcharge on my purchases. In this time of covid it is essential to limit contact and that's why I use the app.
Absolute waste of time! You order and they don't bother checking the Skip device. So what should be in and out, lands up being 15 min. No time saving, no convenience! I'm deleting the app!!
Great app, although having to log in every four or so times I open it up is pretty annoying. It kind of ruins the ability to order on the fly.
Have to save/store credit card details to make order. Have to manually email them for marketing push notifications to be stopped. Only allows single add ons (i.e., radio buttons not checkboxes) when adding to an order. Archaic, badly designed app.
got bank notification just now of a transaction from skip when I'm actually in bed at home. panicked and call bank suspecting it to be fraudulent. after arranging for dispute and card cancellation I thought to check the app to see where transaction was made, only to find it was a transaction i made from almost a week ago but they decided to delay putting it through! how annoying! what a stupid feature! stop this!
Easy, fast and seamless app. Unlike its main competitor, no user fees. Innovative way to invoice, avoiding unnecessary delays with the payment processing.
Single point sensitive. No alerts when my coffee is ready. Vast options in menu screen could be maintained in a better GUI representation e.g. to add 2 qty I have to scroll for dayyyys.

Great, use frequently. Feature request: one click to repeat last order on app homescreen. I bet a LOT of your users go to the same Cafe and order the same thing. Make it even easier for us
Whoever made this didn't factor in PayPal. As I make a lot of transactions via PayPal sometimes it's my only option and when searching for the option of buying coffee with PayPal this came up. Your SEO is a joke and until you offer PayPal this app should be avoided.
Left a sour taste ordering coffee through this app. Skip app charged me twice for 1 coffee on the second day of use, then on the 3rd day charged 3 times for 1 coffee... Tried taking it up with skip direct and person wasn't much of help, just asked to send an email with my complaint via their support email. I think I'll just order my coffee's at the counter from now on :-(
Really hate the fact that it doesn't give me an alert when my coffee is ready. This results in cold coffee and confusion as I never know which cup is mine. Please implement some sort of phone based messages to alert me when it's ready!
I installed this app and searched for cafes near me (Canberra). The results showed Wollongong, Wodonga and various cafes hundreds of km away, omitting cafes that were only two suburbs away. A totally useless app.
Not cool sending notifications when the application isn't signed into my account and NO option to turn off. Thanks for spamming #Unwanted and unsolicited messages with no option to remove.
Great app. Easy to use. Has all the options I need to order coffees for multiple work colleagues - and allows me to jump the queue!
Good idea executed poorly. My coffee was 8 minutes late, to add insult to injury a friend who ordered at the till 10 minutes after I placed my order got their coffee before me. Also they had no large lids,something I would have found out had i placed the order at the till rather than online and changed my order accordingly. I really see no point to this service, it is slower and worse than ordering at the till.
Great idea but failed by poor design. Full of errors and bugs. can't search cafe by name, geographical search area is rigid and more often than not useless
My order got confirmed when the cafe is actually closed. I asked them for a refund but i was told to wait until next year.. Better avoid using this over holiday periods. Other than that, all good.
Double charged me for an order 30 minutes after I picked up my original order. Had exited the app by this time. Was at work so couldn't collect my second order (which ordered itself).
Fantastic App. It is quick and convenient You can find the closest coffee shop, then pay on the App and pick up. Love it
Devs, you really need to fix the app so it doesn't close when you press 'back' on Android. Should just go to the previous page. How frustrating do you want using this app to be?
Hey there, I noticed the BYO cup has moved to an additional step. Can this please be placed back on the ordering page? Unsure why you would change it to an extra tap. Also, can there be a more simpler way to remove old card details?
Service fee they add makes it more expensive than buying over the counter. Skip's Virtual Cafe charges $40 for 7 coffees. That is $5.71 a coffee and may mean people pay up to $2 more for each coffee than they need to.
Major delay in receipts being emailed, this needs to drastically improve. Also, need to work with merchants as some items are only available at certain times, e.g. until 11am
Need to update their security settings so that new users who add multiple payment cards to their profile are not blocked from using the app. It is understandable to block a new user if they are adding a large number of cards (potential scammer), but 3 cards is not a large number. I don't think the barista who helped me sort this out is being paid by Skip to do tech support!
