Formerly great, now awful. Skip was nearly perfect 2.5 years ago. The only missing features (then) was 1) no shared shopping lists and 2) couldn't import Apple checklists. Not only have those features NOT happened, but everything else is now terrible: -awful design. Play-Skool + unreadable + unntuitive -shopping lists are worthless : weigh queue now hides the weight in tiny font -purchases now list randomly, not in ANY order Every good feature got broken in 2 years. Every one.
Took longer than just scanning. They store has to verify all scanned purchases! Then you need to weigh, which I get, but put a scale in the produce section. I wanted to avoid the front checkout and basically spent twice as much time there. Fix it and I'll be back.
well that was interesting. I grabbed my two items, scanned with my phone, paid with my phone, showed the clerk and was out in 5 minutes. I love this technology. It's way better than a self serve cash register that I have to stand in line for. I'm basically checking out as I pick the items off the shelf.
It's great when it works. Every time it updates, it lets me scan but then it doesn't let me pay and I either have to go through a regular checkout anyway or it takes a lot of work with the clerks to make it work. Please fix that or quit updating it
Works well and has a clean interface. Very fast at answering questions you ask right in the app! I'd like locking with fingerprint but they are working on that and you can just log out if needed in the mean time.
The SKIP app is very simple and easy to use. Ridley's Grocery Store actually has a checkout line specifically dedicated to the SKIP Checkout process!! Everyone at the grocery store was very friendly, especially our cashier, Kevin! I was very pleasantly surprised (1) after I had done my shopping ; (2) walked up to the checkout counter;(3) bagged the groceries ; (4) choose checkout and showed the cashier that the payment had went through and voilã! All done and wow a lot quicker and easier than I imagined. The SKIP app has very good customer service and they answered my questions quickly even on the weekend.
App was working perfectly before update. Now I can't access it, it won't sign me in, won't send an email to reset password, doesn't except the pin code it sends as a message. Waiting for response after emailing creater.
Great when it works, which isn't often. Rarely can this app find the store I shop in. Needs a feature that allows me to select the store. Great concept. So far, though, poor execution.
I've tried to use Skip at 2 different Ridley's last week. the first Ridley's it recognized that I was in the store, but said there was an error and would not let me scan any groceries. The second store, I was able to scan. all my groceries, but then when I went to pay it would not accept my payment and said there was an error. I'd love to use this app, I don't know why it won't work for me.
This was such a cool app! You scan your groceries while you shop and can bag them in your own reusable bags. They also have bags if you need them. You can pay right on your phone and never have to even go through checkout. I loved it! Will definitely use again!
Good experience. Just felt nervous and strange to go bag 3 items and walk out the store. Camera only worked on one item...may have been a little slow to connect but was great, especially once I seen the lines.
A must have for me. I hate going to the store, especially with my young kids in tow. Skip makes it so easy to get in, get what I need, and get out. And my little ones love the important job of scanning the items! I wish every store had this feature!
took a little bit of tech help with my loyalty number, and my referrals code to get me set up and going because it wouldn't take either one, but eventually, tech support fixed it all, and the app works great so far.
I love this app. It is so convenient for breaks at work. Until there is a bug... then it won't open and I have to use the regular checkout line
easy to use and great if you're on a budget you can see right where you're at. Have to watch pricing on sale items tho. It doesn't always translate.
Very quick and easy to use. Something sorely needed and a great solution. Some explanation on the store's side as to the specific steps that would take place would have been helpful, but not a big deal.
Used this for the first time today. It was GREAT! This was so easy to use AND I didn't have to wait in line. All I did was scan my items and check out on my phone. Then show my phone to the cashier as I passed by. She confirmed I had 4 items. Actually writing this review took longer.
It's a good simple app. I've really liked skipping all the lines! Just wish I could scan coupons that are stuck to the packaging.
Very slick. Literally no waiting in line. I scanned the items while working my way through the store and the manager waved me through at the courtesy counter. Nice!
I made an account and when I try to log in, skip wont let me. So I click, I need a new password and I get a number in my email. I put it in and hit confirm and nothing happens! So I try to sugn up again, maybe thats the problem, and it wint even let me sign up again, I cant get a pin sent to my phone!!!
Love this app. My local grocery store consistently has long lines. I always feel such joy as I pass the poor fools waiting in line.
I use this program all the time I go shopping but it would be great if the shopping list could be created from existing/past purchases or using the bar code reader to create new lists Instead of having to manually type in a description.
Worthless. The app wont send the sms verification and if you uninstall and reinstall enough it will send it eventually. When it does send it, now it wont confirm. This app used to work great. Who codes your updates, a herd of handicapped chimps?
Loyalty number does not stay connected. It will say connected as soon as I put it in but then immediately forget it. I've tried clearing everything, reinstalling the app but still doesn't work. Everything else seems to work fine but since I would be missing out on discounts without the loyalty number connected, I can't use the app.
