Using this app to give me the smart lock feature while waiting for an official Lollipop release for my OnePlus One. Custom ROMs are great right now, but don't give me the battery life and have video playback issues. Rolling back to KitKat took away smart lock, which you get used to so quickly. Skiplock fills that gap neatly. Nice job!
It was working fine in 4.x and a few days ago T-Mobile pushed out Android 5.0.1 to my samsung galaxy note 4. Still works fine. The play store on my phone, though, says it's incompatible and won't even let me do a review from the phone. I'm going to backup the apk in case it gets wiped by some forced uninstall via the store.
Simple to set up and use, and was nice and reliable back on KitKat. Moved to Smart Unlock now as I missed the trusted WiFi feature on Lollipop (which works much like this app did BTW). Can't really give 5 stars anymore as it doesn't work on my Nexus 5, but if you're never going any higher than KitKat, then this app is fine.
Sometimes though it turns off the WiFi before it has a chance to connect. Turned delay up to 360 but still happens. Still best way to have a secure lock screen except when you don't want it. ABSOLUTELY NO SUPPORT FROM DEV. STILL USEFUL BUT HAS SOME BUGS.
I currently have the Note 3 and I Love this app. It works perfectly when paired with my Pebble Watch, and it's nice to know if I accidentally walk away from my phone, I can be sure that anyone who may come in contact with it can't access it without a password. Hopefully you'll be able to get it to work with 5.0 because eventually the Note 3 will be updated to it. Thanks in advance for working on it and for a Great app!
Really like how it checks for WiFi at wakeup, which saves me from having to turn it on and off a lot. Well done! Edit: changed to 5 stars because I figured out how to bypass the slide to unlock screen. When skiplock is active, just go to lock screen settings and disable. Perfect! I like it even better than the profiles user by AOSP lollipop roms.
I think removing GPS and adding bluetooth is a wash. So I don't understand the charge. Nevertheless, It's a Wonderful app and I used the original for 5 years and $5 is small potatoes for a company that you can trust and I have no problem with it. Thank you for the app and for your integrity. William McDonald / galaxy s4. I'm on 4.4.4 and it refuses to work. They're not waiting for lollipop. I will never buy Samsung or motorolora=samsung. list phones that work with your app please.
this app works quickly and is easy to navigate. love having my phone unlocked while I'm in familiar places. ONE ADDITION REQUEST:::: when I am in my car, I play/stream music from my phone via auxiliary. When I am on set filming at a place with no wifi I am constantly having to type my password which is a hassle. In both situations, a 'Timer with No Lock' option would be super helpful. I would open the app, and tell it to be unlocked for x amount of minutes. At the end of that duration, the lock would eng
Does not work on HTC One M8 after update to lollipop Can we have the following feature under the "Setting screen" added 1) When connected to home Wi-Fi •Do nothing •Turn Bluetooth on •Turn Bluetooth off •Turn Mobile Data off - *(Can this feature be added) 2) When disconnected from home Wi-Fi •Do nothing •Turn Bluetooth on •Turn Bluetooth off •Turn Mobile Data on - *(Can this feature be added) Pl update on priority so that I can accordingly decide whether to buy this app or buy a tasker app. Two star as according to me the app is incomplete. Rating to be changed upon addition of the above feature.
Wish there is an option to skip the swipe lock entirely. Blue tooth unlock function is extremely useful when driving. *** Didn't works with Samsung smart cover with S-View, it won't re-apply screen lock after disconnecting WiFi or Bluetooth. Switch back to a dumb phone case, and it's working again.
The unlock doesn't seem to work on a samsung note pro and the trial is too short to resolve the problems. I hope you will release the code as open source so that it can be built into the custom roms.
I had this feature on my Nexus 5 Lollipop 5.0 and now that I have a LG G Flex I totally missed it so this app greatly helps fix that for me. So now my Sony SW2 can keep my phone unlock whenever near me...You have a happy camper here.
No more password when in familiar wifi hot spots or with my Bluetooth ear phone. Samsung Galaxy S III
First off. Can not get refund from in app purchase. The only app that shows up in play store is the free, so if you purchase the unlimited version in the app you are screwed if you want a refund. Second problem which why I want a refund... when you have it installed and restart your phone the phone is not locked right away, even if the WiFi is off.
Works great, as usual, but, it doesn't seem to work at night. When I head to bed, it's working fine. When I wake up, it asks for my PIN, then is fine for the rest of the day. I have everything set on the phone to keep Wifi enabled, etc. Strange.
It would be ideal if Skiplock can detect I have turn on mobile hotspot so it will not try to connected to Wifi.
Cm12 offers these functions built in, so I don't really need it. However, the developer claims he can't get his app to work on Lollipop but there are other apps with this function that work with lollipop.
This app is just great! It does what it's supposed to do and the pricing - while quite high for an app - is appropriate. People running around with phones far above 500 EUR complaining about that pricing is absurd. Especially when it comes with an evaluation period of a week. If you like it and you're okay with the price tag, buy it. If you think the pricing's to hefty, just don't. EDIT (the following is already possible, just don't check the all networks checkbox): However, I'd appreciate it if there was another option for when it detects multiple WLANs - I don't want to activate SkipLock just by the network's SSID. Why not just let me add another WLAN with the same SSID but another MAC address? That would be the 5th star :)
This is the only app I've found that reliably disables the pin code when it's not needed. I wish it would work with Android 5 as this worked reliably and Smart lock in Lollipop is close to useless.
If you don't need to secure your phone's screen at home just try this app. I was fed up with typing my password even at home. Apply this feature to whatever wi-fi connection you feel like.
Great app, can open my phone without a pass code at home where I do not need it. Went ahead and upgraded, minus one star for being a little too pricey. But great app anyways.
Yea i hate that the new android app does that the last droid i had the maxx had it only problem is droid went downhill.just about anything is better.but it does have it built in.
I tried another app first that does a similar job unfortunately it required other apps and playing around with security settings, I gave up after 30 minutes of trying to get it working. I uninstalled the apps and installed this one. No fuss it worked first time without me playing with settings. Great job. Thank you. Worth buying even if Android 5 is coming soon.
