Laggy app rarely opens up. Keeps getting stuck on 'Checking for updates' screen, resulting in courriers losing their shifts. Even if you're able to login in, you rarely get good orders (skip gives you orders that you have to drive 17-21kms for just $6.50-$7.29). Their support is the worst I've ever seen, taking ages to respond, even when they respond, it is with something unhelpful. Skip promises to pay for delays at restaurants, but that is just a false promise (I have rarely gotten reimbursed)
Buggy as hell and slow to start. Most of the time it just hangs when you try to start the app, making you late to check in for your shift. Changing your areas/quadrants for shifts is very buggy and half the time doesn't work. Right now my settings are stuck and I can't change them.
It's takes years to connect app and payment and distance are not worthy due to gas prices. They don't look after drivers at all. And some times they don't correct payment and said correction will happen on pay day. Don't know it's happened or not. And not knowing how much really get paid. Live Customer service is only available when we on live delivery. Otherwise no way to see contact them. And worst you have to text while delivering. It's dangerous way to contact them while driving
Missed my entire shift because "checking for updates" wanted to infinitely show after closing app, restarting phone AND deleting app from my phone to install again and STILL not load. No live chat anymore Too many drivers scheduled all the time Don't drive for skip. You'll just put on miles you can't ever take off for such little pay
Stuck on "looking for updates" screen. Very annoying, paid for the thermal bags to start working and can't even use the app. On top of that, skip customer service is horrible. They take weeks to reply to my emails, sometimes they don't and I'd have to send another email to get their attention. What a mess.
Constantly checking for updates and when there is one, it doesn't seem to be anything different. We depend on this app to work, so if it takes 10 minutes to load, it cuts into our time. Sometimes I'm told I missed an opportunity but it never popped up. Multiple re-swipes on the different swiping screens. I see a lot of people are having the same issues.
The app malfunctions all the time. Fails to load properly and GPS thinks you're kilometers out of town and won't match you to orders. No way to contact support anymore, have to email for support now. Good luck getting live support, you're on your own. Customers rarely tip anymore and if they do, it will be right below the top-up level so enjoy your +$0.01 from Skip for keeping a 100% acceptance rate. Skip schedules way too many drivers too so expect about 1 order per hour.
i don't get the hate, it works on my machine. the extra money is greatly appreciated. just choose your orders wisely, it gives you the option to decline. it is not hard to follow a GPS and read instructions. how well you do is up to you, i normally make 100$ in four hours. this is my second job and i usually work skip after i come home from my other job and i've not got anything else to do, as intended
It definitely works more than it doesn't.. but when it doesn't work it is extremely frustrating when you are trying to complete an order. It could use some updating and bug fixes for sure.
A buggy, unresponsive mess. Makes it genuinely difficult to do orders with Skip. Would probably do twice the deliveries if the app was actually bearable to use.
During a shift the app will be stuck on a task. Or it will ask me "ready to ride" twice , and then it will act as if i swiped to say that I'm at the customer's house. Even though the app isn't suppose to alow u to say that u are at the customer's house within 200feet. Even if the app is updated it freezes. So now my trips are longer because I have to close the app, restart the phone and app and then wait to see if my order reappears again... Brutal.
This app is terrible compared to the other delivery apps, it only works on a single device at 1 time. If the app closes by chance you lose your order. Why do I need to confirm pick up twice and confirm I'm ready to drive. And if I select south area. Why am I working on the west side? Massive gaps in between orders as well. Not profitable overall.
It's been two weeks and my application is still not approved. They keeping telling me to upload my work permit even though I've uploaded all the required docs. Contacted the courrier help but only got robot replies. They never looked into the case. Contacted them again after several days and still for an update.
VERY POOR customer service compared to other delivery apps. Especially when something happens and the support email does not respond. Very unprofessional.
There is no way to get ahold of anyone . I can not log onto the app it only allows me limited access when you've forgotten your password . I am trying in vain to contact support but no response I tried the phone number but it has been disconnected.
I agree with all the recent reviews. I am constantly losing orders because of the App and all I get from chat or their help is boiler plate answers. Gets extremely frustrating especially since this is the only tool we have for our work. The only message getting across is that they don't care. Been doing this for 3 years and issues worsen with each update.
Constantly breaking functionality, cannot seem to get write/query TTL correct leading to constant communication errors that prevent drivers from seeing or accepting orders consistently. Delivery zone prevents drivers from getting orders outside this zone but allows delivery requests through for outside the zone. They don't get why that's unfair. Good idea, terrible execution, but no worse than the competition.
Very poor algorithm. Forcing a driver to take small order with very long distance. It doesn't show map automatically when getting an new order. It doesn't care about driver choice and fuel cost. Decline any order makes things worst. Very dissapointing.
Everyone complaining about the bugs in the app which is a whole seperate issue that really needs work. But with support the situation is way more annoying. My account has been inactive for a over a week and Ive been contacting them by email because it's all they have and I never gets response.
Has to be one of the WORST apps I've ever used. Takes about a minute to start, logs you out automatically instead of warning you if you have a vpn, and the swiping mechanism is incredibly hit and miss. Constantly has updates when you open it. Please code this app again as it needs to be COMPLETELY REDONE.
What is going on here? I keep getting an error message trying to use this app. I called Skip. They say my account is in good standing. If that's the truth, why can't other drivers open my account on their phone, but their account is perfectly fine? Oh and also, why do you no longer have anyone to talk to at driver care anymore? Please tell me how to fix this!!!!!!!!!!
The app frequently gets stuck "checking for updates" when I'm on shift and in the middle of an order, meaning I have to wait around for the app to open, or restart my phone (galaxy s8), and the buttons for collecting and delivering orders are super buggy and often don't register, I often have to swipe the slider 3 times before it works. Aside from the app itself you can expect Skip to steal most of your tips if you have a high acceptance rate, and often get an insultingly low order volume
