SkoolBag: School Communication

The app used to keep me signed in so that i would get constant updates from the school. Now every time that i open the app I get signed out need need to constantly sign in. There is no remember me option

I was receiving notifications (android) but all of a sudden they stopped. Have updated since then and still nothing. It's important I receive notifications instantly as they are posted as they are regarding cases in classes. Please fix.

UPDATE: I have installed the new version. It's gotten worse. It gives me the ability to select groups I want to see notices for, but still gives me ALL the notices including those I didn't select. So now I have the ILLUSION of choice without getting it. And still no ability to archive or delete items. The devs response to removing the ability to archive items being "as per school's request" because we might miss out on important notifications. Feedback to school-no point if everyone uninstalls.

My school uses this app to send alerts, updates and newsletters. It is quite useful. It's annoying how often it needs and update, but I guess that means it is constantly being worked on. And it seems to sign me out every so often and that limits the user experience a bit, Other than that, I use it because my child's school does and it works quite well most of the time.

15/3: The app doesn't work AT ALL. It crashes as soon as I open it, every time. I have updated, uninstalled & reinstalled the app - it still doesn't work. This is our school's primary channel for communication; the app's poor performance is a serious concern. I would discourage any school from relying on this app for communication with parents. 21/3: I've just updated the app & it still crashes immediately, every time. We're now surrounded by floods & can't receive messages from school. 😡😡

It's been good for a few years, but recently I've been having the same issue others have mentioned - attempting to login does nothing. I've uninstalled and reinstalled today, but it's still failing. Frustratingly, I'm still getting notifications of new messages - I just can't access them! I'm assuming it's being overloaded because of the current situation, but this is when we need it most. I hope the developers can get this sorted.

Our school uses this app but it constantly crashes. I need to change groups but unable to because the app stops working.

For an app that's available for PC, it's completely unusable! It just comes up with the notice to update to the newest version (um I only JUST downloaded it, how is this not the newest version???), but no link or anyway to actually do that (it has update now in the notice, but nothing clickable). My mobile version doesn't have the ability to send absent notes (which the school has told me to do through eforms) so was going to do it on PC, but this doesn't work either!

This app does not work consistently and is not a reliable source of communication. I experience periods where I do not receive notifications or communications is not loading in the app. I am also often logged out and I am then required to reset my password to log in. App doesn't reset the password and same error is displayed. Only way to get it restored is do uninstall and reinstall. Do not recommend

I have tried reinstalling endless times the app. It doesn't allow me to login or reset password. I even sent email which bounced back. There is no other means of communication with school regarding forms and notes. Can you please help in fixing this issue. Thanks

Same as everyone else, cannot log in. Deleted, uninstalled, reinstalled, reset password. Still doesn't work. I'm putting this review in hope that we will not continually be forced to download apps to stay in contact with school. To the developers, get your app working. There should be no reason for this to occur. If I could give minus 1 star I would. Developer comments that they have addressed the bug two weeks ago, but still can't log in! To all schools, stop making us use apps for contact!

This app no matter how many times I delete, update or reinstall it, wont work for me. I receive notifications but when trying to access the app it doesn't recognize my email or password. Then when trying to change that, I dont receive the email they send you to reset it! So frustrating!!

One would expect this app would be a lot better than it is seeing that it is meant to help us parents for our kids school. But if the education department is involved with this app I won't say no more. Poorly funded and this has more bugs than a child with head lice. Keeps signing me out and i never gets notifications even though I have gone through all the settings as many times as I have had to sign in again and again and again

To update this - the last update from skoolbag fixed any issues there was - thank u "This is my only way of communication from my son's school - since the update, I cannot log in. It says that there is a network error. I sent an email telling of my problem but have received no response. I really like this app when I could use it! I need this fixed ASAP "

Edit: Well done for fixing that breaking issue in 2 weeks. I will review again when school starts next year. Previous:Terrible. Cannot get past the network connection error even after reinstall. So sad we're a captive audience for this one.

I made a payment a few months ago on the app and had no issue doing so. Every time I try to make a payment it now tells me my session has expired and I need to return to the beginning of the payment process. I have tried everything to do this and there doesn't seem to be a way to do so. I even deleted the app and reinstalled it only to have the same problem. Very frustrating as our school wants us to pay via this app.

I am logged into my daughters school and used to receive notifications but I am not any more. Can you please help? We have missed many notifications.

The new updated app is not available on Google play for PC. it works on mobile, but I need a PC version to work. It only gives the old, non functional version when searching. Please do something, this has been a long problem and now the PC version does not work at all. And it's not just me, many parents at my sons school have this problem. Fix it or declare it a mobile only app.

What's happening with this app? Are the developers reading this at all? It's as if we are all wasting our time with these feedbacks!! This app is EXTREMELY important, since my son's school uses this rubbish for communications. I don't know what you've done to "improve" it, but now it doesn't recognise internet connection, my password or my mobile. Please "unimprove" it, perhaps it will work again! Very frustrating. Rubbish app.

The app was working fine for me up until the last few days. Initially when I'd attempt to log in it said there was no connection. If it meant internet connection, I had full wifi and all other apps were working fine. Today when I entered my log in details, nothing happens. I reinstalled the app and still nothing. The school is issuing communication through this app regarding all responses to covid19. So I would really like to know what the latest developments are. How do I fix this?

Keeps saying "Internet connection is lost" with a pop up saying "Network error. Check your internet connection". Internet is fine because I receive notifications of new messages - I just cant get into them. And I can browse the internet just fine. I've tried on different networks and using mobile network - same error. Please fix ASAP. I am relying on this app to get messages from the school. I've waited a few days for it to be fixed before giving a negative review but now it's getting ridiculous.

User for 18months and constantly missing out on school communications because app frequently stops working without reason. The app also repeatedly asks to reset password and then notifications settings mess up also. I have tried reinstalling app and updating phone software without resolving these issues. I wish school would choose a more functional app. Would be a fine app if not for this functionality issue.

I really need this app as its the main point of communication for my grandchildrens school so today I downloaded and installed it on my phone. It opens on the sign in page which, of course, tells me I need to register. However I have no link, no option or information to do so. I have deleted and reinstalled 3 times only to get the same result. Very very frustrating.

I would give it a zero if I could. It won't even let me setup an account. I enter my email and password with the criteria and it goes green and says success. The next page I enter my name and it says invalid password format and does not let me proceed. Looking at the constant reviews of poor performance it is a wonder that schools insist on using this app.

Crashes on start up on Nokia 8, Android 9. Haven't been able to use it for months, but thankfully school sends newsletters by email which is much more convenient for me. Seems a pointless app and only installed because school decided to make it their standard system.

My school suddenly doesn't exist after trying to open a notification! Now everything up until a month ago no longer exists including newletters, event dates even those that were saved into my calendar & all online forms/absentee notifications abilities. Have been using this for years now with only minor issues popping up previously.
