Visually I love the app. I would have rated this app more higher but over the last 2 months the app is not functioning properly. I am no longer receiving any of my selected notifications alerting me to my kick off, half time etc. I thought it was just me but many of my friends are experiencing the same problem.
Had this for as long as its existed almost and finally having enough. The app is brilliant for what it gives us but the adds have become unbearable. Can't stand having to watch an add at the start AND the end of a highlight vid (unless you exit vid), can't stand that if I accidentally slide off of the vid I want then I have to watch 1 whole add and begin watching a 2nd add, I CAN'T STAND that when my phone is turned on its side it sometimes restarts the add or plays a 2nd vid in background!
Been having problems for a while. This is not 1st review. I can't watch highlights or any videos. The advertising that comes before I can watch for hours but I never get to see the video I want. The advertising doesn't even finish sometimes just cuts off. So if you want an app just to watch advertising this is the one for u! As I mentioned early this is not the 1st time I have left a review. So if you want no feedback or help this is the app for u! Enjoy. If I could give ZERO stars I would.
Absolutely dreadful app. You can watch a select few highlights after watching the obligatory 2 adverts but most of the time you watch the adverts over and over and never get to watch the highlights you want. A terrible app considering the amount of money they charge through advertising and for Sky Sports. Poor show.
Great if you want to watch the advert before the highlights, not if you actually want to watch the highlights. No matter what I clear down, clear my cache it happily plays the advert and crashes at the start of the highlights. I have a powerful up to date device so really don't understand why this cannot work
Can't watch the video, I can watch endless adverts tho. I have been trying to watch after match interviews and reports, I have this logged into my sky account where I pay for sports but the app just shows me the adverts and then goes back to the play button, where again you press play, watch the adverts and continue the loop. Can't reccomend while it is in its current state.
Easy to navigate app showing a wide range of scores, good videos and real-time stats. 2 things to improve: I'd like to be able to follow more teams and PLEASE can you mark promotion and relegation zones on the tables!!
It is nice for scores, but the league tables are unreadable. It doesnot shows points etc correctly. You need an option to adjust the font size, or scroll right or left. Formatting is juvenile.
Acceptable for purely getting scores and written news. All videos come with ads that you must watch first, not a problem except the actual video either doesn't play or plays in the background of the ad so you can only hear it.
Like this app. But please 🙏🏼 give us the option to skip the ads. Sick of having to watch 2 full ads EVERY SINGLE TIME I want to watch something. Fed up with it. I end up going on you tube to watch goals.
Have been using this app for some time, but the last few weeks I have not been getting any notifications to my followed teams, the scores are updating but no alerts. All settings have been checked, deleted and reinstalled the app ,still no alerts. I am using Samsung Galaxy S10 on Android 12
Since about December the score notifications no longer work. That's one of the main reasons I have the app. And yes I've checked all my notification settings are correct (several times over). If that worked this would easily be 5 stars.
For some reason iv started to get adverts. This normally isn't an issues but as a paying customer I don't see why it has started. Also the adverts come up on ever story I try to read then shut the app down so I then can't read it. Ti's is very poor and needs fixing Immediately
Poor... if I'm lucky and the videos actually play (they mostly return to the home screen during ads) I still have to sit through two ads which I've ended up watching hundreds of times. I pay for sky, so why do I have to watch ads!!
Amazing. Ads play perfectly, yet the video snippets are very glitchy, let alone play. 5 seconds if I'm lucky. Put as much effort into the snippets as you do the ads, bearing in mind how much you make from sky customers
Was great. Now not so. Samsung S21. My settings are correct on my phone and on the app. But notifications of teams kick off, goal scored, half time, full time, etc, are now not displaying at all. They used yo, now just stopped.
Once a great app. Now regressed & requires attention of developer. Videos of highlights are temperamental & often don't play after adverts. Notifications for score etc no longer work.
Excellent upto date i only follow football scores and very easy to set for your favourite teams. I'm sure will do other sport's if you look for them. Really Impressed.
Awful. You have to wonder how sky's apps are so bad. Try to watch video highlights but it's just endless adverts and never gets to the actual video!
No notifications anymore regarding Kick off, half time, goals etc, used to get them but absolutely nothing now and my notifications are turned on. Please sort it quickly.
Haven't been able to watch a highlights video for weeks and weeks (on multiple devices), the Ads work though, be great to see some actual football on a sport App.
There is an overwhelming negative response to the update. To put it quite simply sky you have ruined the app. It was very useful. The lack of formation information is terrible. No one wants to see a list. They looked at the graphics then used the list for subs. No one cared if it was accurate. The live table updates during game play was brilliant. Struggle to find any of that now. Too many buttons to press. New way of selecting leagues bad. Trying to find the old version desperately on Google.
The new update is awful. It's harder to use than it was before and they seem to have gotten rid of some decent features that it had previously. You can only see team lineups now and not the actual team formations, and they only show the most basic match stats. I don't know about anyone else (though I think a fair few people think the same way), but I liked being able to see the more in depth stats like passes, headers and tackles completed, and clear cut chances. Very disappointing.
Was a great app. November update has ruined use of the screen real estate. Top 25% is taken up with static, useless headings. Why can't this all collapse off the top of the screen when scrolling up (if it needs to be there at all). Each match now takes up far more of the screen than needed. Upshot is that you can see far less information on screen than you used to. What's wrong with home team on left, away team on right. Score in the middle? UI has been seriously botched.
Okay but has problems. If, for instance, a goal is scored in first half injury time, instead of saying, for example, 45+3 it will say 48, even though the second half hadn't started yet so therefore there hadn't yet been a 48th minute. No indication of sending offs on the score either, you have to read the commentary to find out. These things were all on the version before this update, why change it?? Improvement needed.
New update doesn't seem to reflect the needs of its users - I want easy access to scores but not only is the flow through the app more convoluted than it used to be, the presentation of scores on the right hand side and away from the team names makes it harder to scan, and the loss of the videprinter is a huge regressive step. In reaction to the response from Sky, the My Scores feature doesn't replace what has been lost.
This used to be my favourite football scores app. It was outstanding. But after the update and visual revamp it's become totally hopeless. It doesn't auto update the scores. The interface is clunky. Team formations have gone. Etc. Basically they've taken what made the app brilliant and changed it worse the worse. Sure its glitzy but it's hopeless as a scores app. I've given up. If only I could go back to the previous version.
This app has improved massively over the years, much better. I just have one issue, when I favoured matches. It used to notify me, now its not at all. Even though I haven't changed any notification settings, in app it still shows that I should get notifications. So I don't know if something has changed in a recent update, or if sky can help me fix the issue. Much appreciated.
