I often feel like I'm missing something, or there "should be more features" ...but only as reflex expectation from using so many overly complex apps. I love this app and the SkyBell itself. Both are reliable and as a whole, it is clean & simple, does exactly what it needs to, and everything you need is at your fingertips without clutter or confusing complications. As a software eng myself I understand the hiccups, and I see the fixes and cont'd work which is overall good (and appreciated).

The app is slow and the setting minimal. For instance, we installed the app on my wife's phone and the language provided was Spanish. We tried to re-install it, but it remained the same. Settings doesn't have the option to change the language. I've been doing research since, and found nothing to change the language. Thus, SkyBell is a big disappointment.

Does not give notifications of detected motion, which is frustrating and defeats the purpose of having a motion detector. My settings are correct, I clean my cache, but cannot get it to function. Also does not integrate with my Alexa . Would like to switch to the Ring, but unfortunately, this is what was installed by my security service.

Works great as a doorbell. Press the button and the bell rings. If they ever get the motion sensing working properly it will be a good security device. Unfortunately, they don't care about that part of it. Even the support link in the app takes you to a 404 page. Guess some businesses don't want to support something that doesn't work.

Since the last update -doorbell appearing offline seems to be fixed. -still can't stream anything, nothing has been recorded. -out of 18 separate attempts over a few days, 2 rang my phone, but I couldn't answer the notification (no stream available) -I'm not contacting Tech support for something it appears your entire community is having issues with, without a functioning app, you are selling an extremely over priced regular doorbell

Terrible quality product! You worked fine the first few months... i paid so much for mine too! What a dissapointment. Connection constantly goes in and out... i installed a router RIGHT ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE DOORBELL WALL! I am not the only one om this front... trusting in skybell i purchased one for family members as well. Sensor also NEVER DETECTS ANYTHING! When i contacted CS you told me to kick rocks. I was actually told there was nothing you could do, to look towards other products! 🤨

I've followed every step but my SkyBell fails to sync. It makes it to the final scree, blinks orange then resets back to red/blue while the app is still "thinking".

The videos are out of order and displayed with meaningless words "4 days ago". Videos from several days ago are displayed under yesterday title and all the videos from today are in 3 different sections? Is there no quality control ? If you can't get simple stuff working how can we trust our data is safe? To the skybell guy: your response confirms skybells incompetence. T in GMT literally is Time... time is chronological. If gmt was the issue the videos would still be sorted not shuffled

I would give this 0 stars if I could. I could not get my phone connected to the doorbell on two phones. The only one that worked was an older phone.

Instead of telling everyone experiencing the same problems to contact customer service, maybe its time to fix the problems? like with everyone else I cannot establish a live stream and if I can I have to close the app 10 times and hang up 10 times and if it does come up it's just dark with sound. got notified of a visitor and a button press, no recorded footage of that. but if you want to see trees swaying in the wind, look no further.

HATE this device and app. Worked decent for 6 months. Constantly loses connection and now won't connect to app at all. I even purchased a plug in router (that is literally 6 inches from the device) to boost signal to - wifi is NOT the problem. I have spent hours trying to restart and reconnect this device - I am finished with it. Since this device is on our second home and we are 6 hours away, it is beyond being a nuisance. It is just worthless.

PROBLEM AFTER PROBLEM, Now I changed my wifi password and had to reset this, errors EVERY time 9 tries, reinstalls,etc. Stream can't be established. Bought a brand new one and it still has the same problems. Worked fine in the same spot for a year before this, therefore it's the software update that crippled it. The developers don't know what they're doing with firmware updates or application updates apparently. I HIGHLY recommend not buying one. Get a Ring. 2022: still not saving videos.

You get what you pay for... nothing! Worst app. Never connects, constantly loses connection from the internet, customer service just blames the router or distance from. I haven't received notifications for several months and have confirmed all settings are correct. If it does connect it takes so long to do so you don't even need it anymore by the time it does. Don't waste your money.

When I get the bell ring notification and I tap it, nothing happens. Then I open the app, and it takes a long time to connect to the bell camera. When it does, many times I see all gray with codec artifacts coming from the image. All in all, not happy with the product. It came with the house I bought but I'll likely consider other brands when replacing.

The setup process is ridiculously tedious. Once you add a device in the app you can never delete it. And most importantly, YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PHYSICALLY INTERFACE WITH THE SKYBELL TO UPDATE WIFI SETTINGS. IT SHOULD BE HANDLED ENTIRELY BY THE APP! Also, even though it always says my connection quality is 95%+ it no longer displays properly. A few individual pixels get displayed if it connects at all.

Stored videos are _!?!_STILL_!?!_ not sorting correctly. Makes them useless. Today is at the bottom most of the time of split in the list with other days in between. Also, the sensitivity is too high even on the lowest setting. I get videos from motion every 5-10min when there is nothing on camera.

I uninstalled, reinstalled still "Stream could not be established" , can't watch live, never without one issue or another I contacted support, helpful but a long list of troubleshooting steps, which didn't work anyway. Absolute worst app ever I would give it a no star rating if it was possible to do that. You may get me up and running but it would only be temporary I rue the day I ever bought and installed skybell. Reply to skybell: I am getting rid of skybell no need to help diagnose or try to fix the unfixable, it can't work properly through walls unless it's attached to your modem, apparently. Your product needs an overhaul, in my opinion.

Do NOT BUY THIS. Look at recent reviews! Skybell puts out updates and renders the doorbell to not work properly. They do everything to push the problem off on you the consumer. UPDATE.. I ended up solving the main problem myself. BUT soooo many issues with randomly working it's nightmarish. 🤮 Update 4/13.. FINALLY starting to work. Library is totally messed up. I see an update... Let's see if it screws up what's working.

Works great, about half the time. Often, app can't connect to the doorbell. Lots of false positives. At times it also misses people walking right up to it. Also, the recorded videos showing up not in chronological ordering is extremely frustrating and hasn't been fixed in over a year. I thought videos were missing entirely at first, and tech support wasted hours of my time telling me to reconfigure my home network, as I'm the only user with the problem. Was clearly an issue on their end.

I always thought the app ranged from GOOD to GREAT. I never had a problem with it until the notification sounds were removed in March (I think). This update now allows us to customize the notification sounds to whatever we want them to be. THAT'S GREAT! But I really liked the original Button Press (doorbell sound) and Motion Detected (Tinkerbell) sounds. These were promised in May 2018. I don't want to wait another 6 months for the next big update... So, could you just push the original notification sounds to the app? If not, at least make them available as a download on your website so we can add them ourselves. I've searched on my own but didn't find any that I liked as well as the originals. Thanks, in advance. ******************EDIT* WOW...that was fast! Thanks for making the original sounds available to download on Skybell's website only two days after my request. I downloaded and moved them to the correct folder and then was able to select them in Android's app settings. I then tested the doorbell and the notifications were restored to their original sounds. I still think this needs to be fixed by means of an update, though. This was an easy operation for me, but those that are less "techie" may still struggle to restore the sounds to their devices.
