Skydroid - Golf GPS Scorecard

This has been my golf app for the last 6 years. It worked perfectly in Canada, the US, and Cuba. In the last few months, it's like the team at Skydroid has evaporated along with course mapping and score card data. Several courses I have mapped have reverted to their pre-mapped and erroneous state. I am unable to save score card data regardless of the platform I am using and have had no response from Skydroid on any of my attempts to reach them. Skydroid Team - please come back!

yardage is off +/- 5 to 7 yards. which results in being 10 yards short or over the green. I'm also not a fan of the satellite map because when in the sun (which is when most golf happens) it's difficult to distinguish what's water, trees or empty space. the app works great but the yardage will kill your score on approach shots. I'm considering getting a laser.

Works good and nice to be able to edit courses yourself to map out any hazard you want. Not sure what or if it needs an update but not updated since 2017. Nice thing is you can use an old phone and just GPS and it still works great. Just make sure to check the course marking on the website before downloading. Some can be off a lot with changes in Google Maps accuracy.

I have a hand held golf GPS and have trouble updating the coarse that we were playing. I downloaded this app to try and get some idea of yardage while on the 2nd hole. I was blown away by all the additional features it has over my hand held GPS, the feature that allows you to zoom in on the green and get yardage with a satellite view of the actual green is brilliant! and to see all of the hazards and distance to them and over trumped my hand held. the added scoring feature makes this a must have

Appears to be a simple overlay of Google earth shots. Distances are hit and miss at best. Distances to front, center, and back of green are usually not even lined up with the green and were as far as 30 yards off center and 10-20 yards short or long. Would give it zero stars if I could since the point of the app is to give accurate distances.

absolutely the best as promised. I have been using this golf app for years. It is reliable, does exactly what they say. It never crashes and it has a ton of courses all around the world. I have also used it on about five different Samsung phones and now I'm using a redmi Note 7 and it has never had an issue with any Android versions or phones I have owned. Absolutely recommended and a total steal at the price

I love the app functionality. 2 things I see that need improvement. First, the map view is non existent. If you want to place a market on the course for distance you can't. Second, the courses are user loaded and not accurate from my experience. Free apps have majority of courses included but a paid app relies on user for data entry.

Worked brilliantly on my iPhone. Android version annoyingly requires me to reselect the course I'm playing from the course list, then find the relevant hole EVERY TIME I take my phone out of my pocket. This is not only inconvenient but is slowing down my speed of play. Apple Version - 5* Android Version - 1* Average - 3* PLEASE SORT THIS ISSUE OUT!

In all honesty it's a pretty good app. The problem I have is, I cannot seem to get anyone from the company to respond to my emails. I get the general response that someone will be with me soon, then I never get any thing else. I have waited months for a response and nothing. They need to work deligently to correct their customer service dept. Also they need to either add an option for putting in what par is on what hole, or get it put in automaticly when you download the course.

Used this app for a few years and it's been great HOWEVER, I've been waiting for a password reset for about a month. I've gone back and forth with first and second level support. I asked that they send the link in an email or they reset the pwd and send it to me. Still waiting.

My phone was just upgraded to Android 12. The accuracy of Skydroid's GPS has now dropped significantly. The GPS strength meter is now showing accuracy of about 50 yards - which is obviously worthless! Prior to Android upgrade the accuracy was about 3 yards Something needs to be fixed in the app to better utilize the phone's GPS signal in Android 12. I know it's not the GPS on the phone, because a different Golf GPS app shows accurate yardage with Android 12.

Same as the others I've used this app for years and just loved it. Now, however no one answers messages, cannot update courses, and now for some reason I can not get the audio announcement of distances to work.

This app has been great for years but this year it has failed to work except in GPS mode. Front page is empty of detail. Occasionally get a spurious distance, but doesn't advance and then disappears. Works on android 8 but not on 8.1

Has worked great for almost a year. Then problem with hole number display on the back nine. No hole display 10 thru 18. Email from Shydroid was not helpful. So I uninstalled then reinstalled. Now I can't get my course, or any course for that matter to download.

Gets the job done. Golf partner has expensive GPS and we are always the same or within 2 yards of each other. I dont play well enough for that to matter anyway and who ever said that his was the more accurate of the 2? Very happy with the app.

worked well when first installed but over the last year the gps has gone bezirk at times. Even with clear skies there r days its off 15-100 yds or on the wrong hole. Sometimes resetting gps fixes it or uninstalling/reinstall works but on a busy golf course whos' got time for that? Also it's difficult to make changes to a course as over the last 5yrs courses have closed 9 holes (3 -9 holes) or have moved t boxes to use same fareways. App may need some updates/tweaking.

I have used this App on several devices over the last few years and have been satisfied, but the latest phone (Android pay to go) the app downloads fine, the courses load fine, but the GPS at the course doesn't work for some reason, but at my house it does. Sent them an email, but no response...are they still working with the covid in place?

Course mapping worked great. However, I typed in all the scorecard data and it won't appear on the app. Deleted the course, re-downloaded it, but no. Support would not get back to me.

The last time I reviewed this app, I said I liked it but the auto hole advance didn't work. Well, somebody must have tweeked the software because it works just fine now. And I also like the audio yardages. A home run now.

Unable to load any courses. It keeps taking me back to the load courses screen. So basically it's unusable. A paid app that hasn't been updated since 2017? Yeah don't buy this.

I've used skydroid for several years and it worked very well, but now the nines are reversed. Holes 1 through 9 show up on the back nine holes 10 through 18 and 10 through 19 are on the front nine 1 through 9. Something went awry.

OnePlus 8, android 11. Useless app, wouldn't display anything about hole layout on the course. Tried it because a friend had it installed on an iPhone, seemed to work for him.
