Very enjoyable game. Has enough new material spread out so it doesn't get stale like some other grind games. Also, the materials required to get new Skylanders and to upgrade takes just the right amount of time and effort. Not like some games where you have to spend days and weeks grinding materials to upgrade a common character. I am very much enjoying this game. Thank you.
So far, so fun. Takes a long time to level people. If we could get xp potions somewhere by grinding that would be cool. Aside from that I'm enjoying the game very much. Amendment: After playing the game for several months now I would like to say it's still a very fun game. The only thing I can see being an issue now is the grind for gear, gold and legendary skill stones. Those seem to be the biggest blockers in the game right now. 6* gear is crazy to upgrade. Still fun though.
The game is beautiful. The only thing that bugs me a little bit is how slow the battle goes. There should be a 3x or 4x speed option for all players, and auto repeating stages should just be blitzed without battle animations anymore. Otherwise, the game is perfect. Edit: Thank you for the reply! That is good news!
This game is a fun twist on the genre, where rather than turn based gameplay with your Skylanders, you choose skills on the fly. It's a bit different, and it's enjoyable! My big issue right now through is the AI. These games require farming. They just do. And unfortunately the AI is not smart at all, so while you may put together good teams to farm, there will be more failures than there should be. I hope it's improved! If so, this will be my new primary game of this genre.
Revamped edition is spectacular. It makes it a little more of a challenge to get your skylanders to the most powerful they can be, whether its transcendence or even just leveling up. The graphics settings are amazing, specifically the 60fps setting. Love this game! The only thing I have a hard time with is acquiring light and dark skylanders, which I feel is also fitting considering there are only a few in the game.
Never was big on the Skylanders franchise so this journey has been a totally new experience for me. With that being said however, I am having a blast playing this mobile version of the series. tutorial doesnt hold your hand yet it does enough to steer you in thr right direction to play on your own. Controls and actual gameplay runs smooth (I dont have a next gen phone btw) and the story is pretty interesting. I'm recommending this to all my players out there!
Pros: it's an amazing game with a great story and already loved characters from the skylanders franchise, the gameplay is easy to get the hang of, the quests mean you always have something to do and nothing seems impossible to earn. cons:the gameplay gets boring extremely fast so I find myself doing everything with autocomplete and 2x on, every story mission feels the exact same (except bosses) and (this is very nitpicky, I know but) broccoli guy is a water element for some weird reason.
love the game with two exceptions. first, everything you do cost gold to include using items you've already earned...like potions. why do I have to pay gold to level a character with potions which I've already earned. 2nd would be the long grinds due to lack of a "blitz" option. takes an hour on auto just to spend all my stamina. but otherwise love the game. always been a big fan of skylanders.
As a Beta Tester for this game, I was super excited to play the actual game when it came out. One, it took WAY too long to come out, and two, I saw little to no changes from the Beta Test. I have a huge complaint, actually. I am the creator of a Fanmade idea for Skylanders, this idea was called Final Resolution, and in the game, the Awakening was basically a rip-off of my idea. I was devastated, if Final Resolution were to be a thing, I could be in serious trouble because developers could think I stole Ring of Heroes concept of Awakening. Final Resolution has existed since about 2014 or 2015, I do not remember the exact year it was made, and seeing that the idea I have developed for so long became a reality but not by my hands made me upset. Setting that aside, Ring of Heroes was interesting, for the first two days, but after that, I began to feel bored with the game and started disliking it. It was so repetitve, the actions, the sounds, it was all the same over and over. I did not get to see my favorite characters such as Spotlight in the game either. The advertisements for packs became super annoying too, and everything feels like a grindfest! Even leveling up takes too long, which is why I got bored of the game very fast. I have a few suggestions, however. 1.) Add a way for us to interact with Skylanders more, whether it be a way to look at their backstories, chat (example: there's a button that has dialouge, you choose it and the Skylander responds to it), customize them with accessories and hats, take care of them, etc. Like those badly done Pet games or Dress Up games with similar ideas, just... Without the things being bad. 2.) Add more things to do, like for number one, interacting with Skylanders. Other things could be exploring the Academy, looking at books that have helpful info for missions, etc. Maybe even a photo feature where you could take selfies with your Skylanders like in Skylanders Imaginators. 3.) No repetitive sounds and music, probably adding more sounds (example: the Skylander could be saying something like "Almost there!" when halfway defeating a boss.) and more music, like if you're exploring the Academy some background noise could play (example: footsteps, paper flipping, the crackling of a fireplace) while calm fantasy music plays in the background softly. 4.) Less popup advertisements, they get really annoying. Maybe put them somewhere that won't get annoying, like have a section just for them. I guess that's all, hopefully these changes could be added someday.
This game is actually pretty good and the graphics are nice, but when you play you find out that its very grindy, and you have to put more time into it than really need, you can earn up to 3 stars for every battle, earning them unlocks where you can automatically run through it, but it doesnt just give you loot, no, it makes you fight, and it caps at out 20 times, but in the awakening diamention it just gives you the loot, saving time, i don't get it, its already in the game why stop there?
I love the characters and the game is somewhat fun. However, the gameplay is extremely monotonous, and it offers very little in the way of psychological reward. Aditionally the newest update as of may 2. 2019 has brought some serious server issues with it causing many players to only lose connection to the server after about 5 mins of play. Also the newest update has removed level caps at each evolutionary stage making the need for powerups seem pointless.
the game is good but its a bit easy on the quests and everything else. I think the game would be better if the battle takes longer. cause now you can win a battle even without strategy. even if its a disadvantage on your element you can still win. which is sad. need to balance the game.-please add a feature which allows players to sell/trade runes. Maybe some special runes that would make ones skylander more powerful.
Its ok. The graphics are good and theres tons of quests but the actual gameplay and battle sequence is lackluster. Just mashing the same buttons over an over or as many do, just have on "auto battle" where the game just plays itself....gets old very quick. Just no depth with the battles that any good gamer will fail to enjoy because theres no skill or brain waves required from start to finish.
This game is super fun and awesome. The graphics, gameplay, and item system is good but there's some problem here. To the developer/s can you please lower the required materials in the combine system 'coz it is too much high and the price in eon's shop especially the red potion large and medium it's too much high, and put some number system when we buy item in any shop so that we can buy on how many item/s we like or need in just one click. I hope you consider my suggestions. Thank you
after skylanders imaginators came out I felt the series was getting bland. so skylanders imaginators was a great change of pace for the series. the gameplay is fun and addictive, and we get to see some of the best characters from the previous games with new upgrades. my main problem is leveling up becomes more difficult as the game goes on, and the rune leveling up should not be able to fail. also could we get some fan votes characters like thumpback eyebrawl or my personal favorite drobot
Many things right yet so wrong... visual the game is good however, materials are difficult to obtain, exp potions especially which in turn makes swapping characters and progressing time consuming or even days to accomplish small tasks. If that's not bad enough you can't skip battles and the timespeed multiplier is still too slow. the first 12hrs is okay but afterwards... well I can't believe I waited months to play this.
Honestly loved this game since pre revamp, I've met some great friends here and have a wonderful guild to play with. The team building is fun, a good amount of units to collect and power up. Which can only improve as time goes on. Love what's been done with the revamp and it brought a lot of my friends back. Continue to introduce new content and I'm sure this game can thrive. Maybe some advertising to get some fresh faces in here. Would also love to see world boss type things for guilds to VS.
Amazing game! SW on a whole other level! i absolutely love it. PLEASE make it possible to purchase exp boosters in this game, with GEMS preferably. also, PLEASE make it easier to see what skill effects do, the button is tiny and its very difficult to press on. some skill effects dont even have a tiny button on some skylanders, so i have no clue what "freeze" can do until it happens in battle and i can try and press on the tiny button above the effected mon. Those are my biggest suggestions!
Mainly downloaded because I used to love the skylanders franchise and wanted to feel nostalgic using the characters I used all the time. Ended up getting hooked. Love the fact that new players aren't completely left in the dust like in most games with in app purchases and the randomised soul stone chests are fun. Not difficult to get your hands on anything which is great for those who just want to complete the story.
I've been a Portal Master since Spyro's Adventure for the Wii, and I already love this game. I just wished there was some voice acting for the characters or even for Eon and Kaos. This game does have many microtransactions, much like other team-fighting games, but they still managed to make it innovative and different from other mobile games I have played, in terms of gameplay. I like how you can use villains as well, and from what I can see it has most of the characters from the games. 👍
I started playing since the beta program, and I still love this game! Makes me come back for more each time, although I do miss the old store system where we could buy runes straight from the store instead of having to grind. Though I could be missing where they are, the store is different than the betas. Still, I love this game, keep making it better!
I was a huge fan of Skylanders battlecast, and so I was quite excited to see this appear. Unfortunately this is a different beast/game and it feels more of a grind than enjoyment. I loved battlecast laid back approach to think and pick your card, and the animations were amazing. This has none of that. It's a pity battlecast, I assume, did not make much money for the developer but for me it is far far superior to this game. I miss you battlecast, come back 😪
Fantastically done in bringing Skylanders from console to phone app... The game has its addictive qualities just like most games and quickly could develop into a favorite. The down side is the load time to only launch advertising (in-game purchase), and before game loads complete you have to touch start. The animation when heroes special gets choppy and most times cut short. The last bit is it is designed that basically throw money at game become top player. the f2p player gets hosed in this one.
So, i started playing and after the tutorial which i did not read, but got an idea how to play. So here the problem starts, if you play a level which is in the quest, it would not complete the quest. The fact that i have to manually start the level from the quest section should be changed, make it so the quests are completed when you play a level.
Would have tried to play for longer, but the bombardment of ads is an instant loss of interest. 2 seperate ads to buy characters before I'm even allowed to leave the start screen, then another 3 once you are on the main hub. Quit and uninstall. "Oh but there's a check box to turn off each ad for the day". No. Just no. If I tick the box for the first ad, EVERY AD AFTER THAT SHOULD BE TURNED OFF. THEY SHOULD NOT BE SEPERATE ADS.
I'd love to vote 5*, but I've found there to be a major currency issue. The cost to level up your eather(Equipment) gets crazy expensive. I've played a lot of games like this, including this game before the revamp/remake. I have enjoyed the game, and will continue to play it as it does feel like a better version than it's predecessor. I however, can't vote 5 stars with the difficulty level of farming needed just to increase the equipment.
