Dev seems to be more interested in releasing a million different versions of this app that only seem to work for one particular model of DVRs instead of patching their existing apps, and it appears this is the only version that works for mine... except it doesn't. App crashes each time it connects.
I purchased my LaView system in Dec '14 and this app worked fine for a while. However, several months ago it just stopped working with the error "Unfortunately SkyView CAM has stopped." Nothing has changed with my setup and get the same error on my Galaxy S3, S4, S6 Edge+, Tab2 and LG V10. Even tried the SkyView CAM HD and get the same error.
I am not able to get the Android SkyView Cam Application Audio Alert ICON to work. Once I touch the ICON it does nothing but gives me a empty small box with no options to turn it on for any of my cameras. My DVR Model is: LaView DVR Model LV-D2104CS
Stopped working when I changed phones. Nexus 6 running lollipop. Won't even stay open. Bummer it used to work just fine.
Samsung galaxy s6- keeps crashing when loading the cameras. Would like to know a fix please.
This app works fine on my Samsung Galaxy S4 (running Kit Kat), but crashes at launch on my Nexus 7 (running Lollypop). EDIT: my S4 updated to Lollipop, and this app crashes at launch.
The app works great and I love it, but whenever I am connected to my home wifi I cant view the cameras. This is a problem because sometimes my 4g will be slow or I will try viewing from my tablet. If this problem gets fixed this app will be a 5/5.
For those complaining this app started crashing after an android update: you can install "La view plus" this new app worked for me with the same cameras and settings I had using this older app.
Since new update to Android lollipop on Samsung GS5, app will force close immediately upon opening. Fix the app for the newest Android OS and it's a great app
It keeps exiting as soon as it starts live view. Won't stay on.. Fix this thing asap
This worked fine with Kit Kat but crashes on Lollipop before any camera views come up. Please fix.
This app worked great until the lollipop update. now it doesn't work at all, tried contacting the developer and getting no response.
Come on I been using this app forever now it can't connect to dvr anymore had to change it on both phones to laview net
Was working well until lollipop came. Now it crashed before it loads the feed
Works great on KitKat but can't use this at all now that all of my devices have updated to lollipop. This is a major problem since I heavily rely on remote access to my cams through my devices.
Crashes with latest Android update. Please release an update to fix! When it was working it was 5 stars.
Only works over my home Wifi but not over any other and it doesn't work on AT&T 4G either! I can't check away from my home. Crap!
Switched to LaView Plus app and seems to be working ok for now.

Won't work on gs5 with android 5.0. Crashed when feed tried to load
I have the Samsung Galaxy S5 and SkyView Cam won't work on it on T-Mobile's 4G network - every time I open the app, it crashes. I get the following error message: "Unfortunately, SkyView Cam has stopped." - you can click OK or report it. What's really odd is that it works OK over my Wi-Fi network at home. I don't understand that one.

I was update but, doesn't work. Instead I am use iVMS-4500 works perfectly!
Limited only by the camera views. If you update the app with more viewing options on screen instead of forcing 4 cam view maximum on screen, this app will be perfect. Nice video, easy to setup and it allow you to remote playback from you DVR which is great! Also allow you to record directly on your device. Developers, add more camera view options please!
