I was using the free version on an older phone and I really love it. So then I got myself a new phone (Samsung A32 5G) and decided to get the paid version of the app. Unfortunately it's not working well. The objects on the screen are 15 degrees offset to the left compared to reality. I've tried doing that figure 8 sensor recalibration maneuver multiple times and it's still offset by a very visible amount. I hope you guys figure out what's up with that.

Each time I get a new phone, I always try at least two other, new to me, sky map apps, I always come back to this one. It's easy to use. Their screen is stable making it essy to mark the object of interest. There isn't clutter all over the screen. All the information needed is right on the screen. I love this app and it's worth the upgrade. A solid five star app.

I never buy apps but I had to support this one. I've been using the free version for a long time and absoloutly adore the capabilities. Point the camera anywhere, even down through the earth to space on the far side and see what's all around us. The music is surreal and relaxing as well. Great job on developing such a wonderful learning tool you guys! A+++

The augmented reality with music honestly makes my evening! I feel like I'm getting a special viewing in some cool observatory. Maybe it's because it reminds me of Elder Scrolls zone music, which is never a bad thing to be associated with. Regardless, thanks, I love the app, especially the search feature! I can easily locate meteor showers, and any other spectacular events the cosmos has to offer.

I used to really like this app...until I purchased it. Now "North" is off by over 10°. I get loads more stars and even sattelites but everything spins away from my focal point. Calibrating doesn't work. I looked at the reviews to see if anyone else had this problem and it looks like I'm not alone. Endless complaints about this exact problem with ZERO response from the developer. It looks as though this app has been abandoned. Too bad. Save your money and stick to the FREE version. Disappointing.

So I had the free version with ads and thought what a cool app this is, so I went and purchased the full app & much to my annoyance, the augmented star map that is the whole purpose of the app is so wobbly! It jitters around and is moving in such a way that would be expected if you were in the back of a ute tray during a 4WD adventure. As a result of this, it has rendered the app utterly useless.

Love learning the stars. Hope they add a feature that would allow me to snap a picture and freeze the screen so I could easily explore the objects on the screen. Currently it's difficult to pull up data on an object because you have to aim and click a button when the object is targeted. Also, the display should show the star name and constallation names in a different place. Currently impossible to view both simultaneously.

Spent 5 hours stargazing - works as advertised. Would have liked more instructions on the settings and such, but it's intuitive enough to sort it out. Loved the accuracy (+/- a few degrees); less enthusiastic about the kitchy options (stargazing music?) but they can be disabled. Well worth the $1.99 Did much more than my free apps ever did. Best feature: They don't require permissions to unnecessary controls within my phone. Thanks for not requiring invasive permissions like competition does.

I upgraded and paid for the app expecting it to be more accurate. When you first open it has a diagram for calibration... Hold phone and do crazy 8. I did. No feedback if I did it right. But when using it to figure out where the epic aligning of the planets it was off by inches in my view. Inches to my eye are ions in space. FAQ/help shows it to be a problem but no guidance how to fix it. So at best this app will give you the general idea of what you are looking or searching for.

I think I've tried every single sky exploration app, just for fun and interest. SkyView easily is the best one. Least amount of clutter, the fact that it supplies such detailed (yet simple to read) info on any object you b select, is awesome. The graphics are just right ( some apps make things look ultra flashy, others are drab), and most importantly, this app seems to scroll around the sky in the most controlled, non jittery way. I uninstalled all the rest, and purchased SkyView.

EDIT: Over a year on and I am loving the paid version. I have found so many new wonders and set myself goals to see something new each time I use the map. What a Stella (pardon thebpun!) app! I can only say "I LOVE THIS" As a novice sky watcher this is entertaining, informative and educational. Paid for the upgrade and not sorry. Even with the free version the ads were not intrusive at all. Took me a moment to figure out how to make the upgrade work on my phone but works a treat now. THANK YOU!

Try it once and you'll be hooked. I have multiple night sky apps but this is definitely one of my favorites. I really like the ability to tap an item on the map and see if it's a satellite, rocket body, etc. Very easy for anyone to use and makes exploring fun.

Yesterday I was at my friend's house, and we were discussing if he'd have sun on his balcony during the summer. With this app I turned back the time to June, found the sun and showed him the trajectory with the AR view. He was stunned. I love this application, it allows me to explore the universe and inspire others. The design is minimalist, yet flexible and full of useful features. I've tried several similar applications, but this one is my go-to ❤️

This is probably the best stargazing app on Android. Three suggestions to make it 5 stars: 1. Add comets to the types of celestial bodies. Comet Neowise is out now and I assumed the upgrade to the full version would find it, but it did not. 2. The Android on-screen buttons (home, back, and switch apps) disappear and are difficult to get to from the main screen. 3. Add more info for each object i.e. brightness, time, etc. If the developer fixes these three minor issues, it gets 5 stars from me!

Useless with Samsung S22. Skyview was brilliant on my old Samsung A40 but is absolutely terrible on my new S22. I had the free app which was fine on my old phone but is unusable on my new phone, so I hoped that buying the Premium version it would work...nope.

I really like this program because it's very helpful with identifying the things in the sky planets and helping to mitigates problematic discussions for people who want to argue about the beauty of the night sky. The one drawback is once you update the thing it keeps asking you to update I wish they would fix that and make it to where once you upgrade it stays upgraded and continue does not continue to keep asking

Even after it has reached it's full accuracy it is still slightly off. Which when searching for distant objects make it useless. There is no instuctions. My free Sky Map is easier to use and is just as good if not better. I would not recommend paying for this app. The Help section is useless and has the GPS in the phone as too small. That's rubbish. Solar interference can affect GPS Accuracy, just watch Spaceweatherwoman on YouTube to see why.

This is the best app I've used for simply pointing my phone at an interesting object to find out what it is. The size of star or planet sliders are not very useful. I'd rather have a slider with a number to set the star magnitude (brightness) so stars dimmer than say 4 aren't displayed. Figure of 8 calibration does help when known objects like Sun and Moon don't align properly.

The app has worked perfectly for years on my older s21 Samsung but upgraded to the Samsung s22 ultra and its bugged to hell. Tried uninstalling it & installing but it doesn't work, I can't see the screen & it looks patchy. The background is greyed out. Please fix as this is one of my favourite apps to use.

Had the paid version on my samsung A51 and it was amazing. On the S22 not so much... Every object in space is visualized as a dark box and playing around with the settings does not help, would you kindly fix this issue?

I've always been fascinated by our universe and recently got into viewing the night sky with a telescope. This app acts as a handy sidekick whenever I'm discovering or want to identify something. I've been using the free version for a month and decided to upgrade for all the features. Well worth every penny and happy to support the developers! In my opinion, this is a very helpful and user friendly app for amateur and expert astronomers alike. Cheers to further development and future updates.

Decent app though the menu system is janky, e.g. you have to tap through 6 or 7 times every time you want to add a favorite, since there is no way to add favorites directly in search. Also, would love to have an option to only display favorites in AR mode. Other similar apps show toggle buttons to turn on and off various features from the main screen if you tap the screen, but you have to dig into menus with this one. Feature-wise it has some of the best though.
