A wonderful, serene game. The gameplay is great, as long as you don't expect some grand story arc. Four stars because I felt the zen mode was a little lackluster, I would have preferred more little people instead of bubbles. That and there's not much of a reward for collecting all the bubbles from the elders. Other than those things I loved the game. Just... have the right mindset. The goal isn't to complete anything. The goal is to make little people happy and think a little. <3

It's an art-game, with all the pros and cons that entails. Overall, it's very relaxing. I played it at night and quickly fell asleep. It's visually pleasing and the music is delightful. The soundtracks in Vogt's games always impress. You draw wind currents to guide birds into people on islands. The people release more birds representing regrets. The direction that you draw changes the music notes that play. At the end of each level, regrets submitted anonymously online are displayed.

A really theraputic and relaxing experience. This is not a game and there wasnt much to play anyways, it was just lovely and worthwhile. Love how simple the premise is and how wellmade the whole thing is presented. Defiently download it. Its completely free with no ads. I downloaded this game as i became a fan of DATA WING, a game made by the same developer. Try that out as well.

I've read the reviews and I think people are misunderstanding why this was made. First of all, it is not meant to be depressing, the quotes are mistakes that others made in life so you don't have to. Second of all, if you want to play a normal game with a intricate plot, this game isn't for you, if u want that, just play data wing (good game), it's just meant to be a relaxing and sometimes boring experience. This game achieves this perfectly.

The pros that I have in this game that it's calming, the background is pleasing, and the music is nice too. The cons that I have is that there's not much to do in this game, the scroll speed is slow, and it needs more quotes and "targets" as I would call it. Okay-ish game overall.

I can't continue. Its a sad experience. A good one at that. Simple. Other opinions on this describe it well. All I want to say. Is this is an amazing game. Data wing is also good. I've looked at this and never played. Until now. I only chose to play because I thought years ago. That data wing would be just a small fun game. But it has an underlying story. So after completing data wing. Again and again. I looked at this and played...no regrets on playing it. Pun. Intended.

Only one word needed. Pleasant. Relaxing to play. Love the concept too. Sometimes the regrets are allitle dark but the ideaof getting them out there is amazing. Not super action packed but doesn't suffer from that. (I highly recommend checking out the creators other game to. Super fun. Can't wait to see what he does next👌.)

I prefer faster paced games. but this is still a great relaxing experience.. I played just before bed and I found myself seeing the birds when I closed my eyes...who needs to count sheep! the quotes can help you reflect on your life/problems and I know I sure reflect while watching birds fly outside. great if you have regrets or depression issues. I wish there were more colourful birds, like if they accumulated as you caught them. . . or more people to cheer up/make the musical sounds.

This game is not as good as the original data wing because it lacks a strong story to give sturdy support to its themes. It also is a bit too simplistic and lacks character. Otherwise the game is okay, it will assuredly get boring after a while same with data wing but it goes you a proper close to feel content with. I still crave more data wing even when the story ended.

This is a serene, beautiful little game that is about regrets and dealing with them. There is nothing difficult about the game play, but that isn't the point of this experience. Some people build games to frustrate and anger the player, but this one was clearly built to do the opposite. Playing this isn't going to make your regrets go away, but it might help you frame them and see them in contrast to those carried by others. It's clear the designer put a lot of thought and heart into this. I can't recommended the experience enough.

This, is a masterpiece. People have said things like "OH there's no story!" Or "the gameplay isnt fulfilling" and what I say to those people, is that you dont understand art. This isnt meant to be fun in that sense, it isnt meant to have a complex and satisfying story, it's just art, and once you understand what the meaning behind the game is, and the purpose of its gameplay and visuals, it's simply beautiful. Treat it like it says it is, a simple art game, not like datawing, the other game made

Vogt, this is a true work of art. I just downloaded this game and I fell in love with it already. I love the fact that the quotes here were mentioned by various people and none of them are much widely known. Most of them helped me out a lot in realising some things I've done too. Maybe one day I'll give you a quote of my own :D. Anyway, your game is amazing. Love the Elderly quotes too, and the music is just marvelous. Keep it up man. More achievements to come!

Very easy to understand and great concept. I would have never thought of this myself. The stories/quotes or whatever can upset some people but they are interesting. I also like the quotes from people like Winston Churchill (yes a quote from him) and Bob Ross (him too). This game is relaxing and amazing. I can't believe that the music and graphics were made by one person. Keep up the good work and stay safe.

Nice experience! Relaxing and the music is beautiful. The lack of a specific goal disturbes me though... Just flying around reading quotes about other people's regrets is not really my thing.

It was a ride for sure, but to be honest, compared to dan's (game maker) other game "wave rider", this is more of a flat experience. Yes the game makes you sad with all the quotes and make you think about life, wich i Love, and not a lot of (mobile) phones can do. And to be honest, the feeling I get from playing this is to actually turn off my phone and go outside. Dan, if you're reading this, great game again! But I'll still be waiting on a new "wave rider" type game!

This was a decent app. No stress what-so-ever. No adds that I noticed. If you're looking for exciting or interesting gameplay this isn't it. It's not a puzzle its not hard to figure out .The only way I know to describe my experience ...This game is purgatory. I have nothing negative to say about this game.

A calm, meditiative, emotional experience. It's not a game; this is where our langauage and categories fail things like this. Thankfully most reviewers seem to get it. It's nice to take a moment with it, read provacative quotes and enjoy the beautiful music. But be warned it may make you sad. Very short, probably a 4* but I'm not dragging down the rating of this amazing developer!

Dans' games are as usual, some of the best and deepest in the GoogleP. market. Eversince Data Wing i have been waiting for a new Dan Vogt experience and here it is. Altough not as action-packed as the last one, Skyward manages to bind a great soundtrack to a great story. Thanks , Dan, can t wait for your next game !

Playing Skyward Journey made me feel like the game is just being really nice to me. Like an old friend saying "Everything is going to be okay." It is very soothing and the music has a calming, Pink Floyd-ish kind of vibe. This is a lovely game about regret and forgiving. Thank you for this Dan <3

Very disappointing. The lack of story is what really kills it. As an aside, the quotes aren't really useful information. The gameplay is also slow(not in a good way) and repetitive with no conpetitive edge to make it enjoyable.

Dyl. B. Feb 3, 2022

Very good game, but it's not data wing. We need a data wing 2, were we figure out the malware is still alive and we need to save it from the users antivirus.

Big. Z. Feb 8, 2022

The game is smooth, but its a wasted potential. This could have beed so much better. An actual game, and not collecting regrets from internet crybabys. It's still decent i guess.

I just don't have the words to express anything about this game, it's really breathtaking how such simple things can do the hardest of punches, again.. congrats dude, you know how to make a game for everyone

Ras. R. K. Oct 28, 2020

Unlike data wing (brilliant. You should try it if you haven't yet) this has no plot. But somehow is soothing and calming. There's not much to do except reading the quotes, which soon begins to repeat. But I would recommend it to all. May give you something to think about in your life

Rob. G. Jan 19, 2022

I gave five star for the gameplay, but I totally agree with the comments: this game is not a relaxing game, can cause extreme stress if someone reads the release bird quotes. I feel like I'm reading developer's suicide notes. Hope he's still alive.

Nic. M. F. Jan 18, 2020

It's simple on it's mechanics, because that's no what the game is about. It's about the experience, letting go of regrets along other, anonymous people. You should play it, you'll feel better afterwards.

This is an excellent offering by the author of DATAWING. Steer your birds around like a god by controlling wind currents with your finger. Very fun to play and hooks you instantly with very clever controls.

Great short meditative-esk game. I'm confused over the message of the game with the segals and the weird alien people mixed with ambient noises but overall it's a cool game. Thanks Dan for your contribution to the google play store.

It really shows Dan cares about the games he makes, considering that he has only two games but both have almost a perfect score. Thank you for this amazing game Dan :)

This game is soo incredibly zenful that whenever I play it, my comfort level skyrockets. I could be comfortable in a cave at the bottom of the ocean with this beautifully magnificent game.
