Great sounds, but they're interrupted every 5-10 seconds by some weird glitch where a split second of silence interrupts the sound; extremely distracting. Also, the timer must be set in order for it to work, meaning that the longest it will possibly play for is 6 hours 59 minutes, not all night. Ridiculous.
This app is very straightforward, simply designed, and wholly sensible. The large number of different rain types are wonderful. But the sound skips and stutters every 8-15 seconds making it unusable. Also, sound should fade in quickly at start and out slowly near end of timer. Existing on/off is jarring, not relaxing. Needs more refinement to be usable.
I had this on my old iPhone and it ran flawless, absolutely no seam between loops. Now, it skips every 15 seconds. Way too jarring to relax to. If they fixed it, I'd pay for the app. Otherwise its pretty useless. Update - I tried this on a Nexus 7 as well and it runs seamlessly as it used to on my old phone. But it still won't run well on my RAZR. Oh well, I guess 50% is OK.
I loved the sleepmaker storm app on my iPod so I was excited when there was an app on the Android market. I was sad there was nothing with thunder but thought I would make due. The sounds are the same quality but it seems to be on a 15 second loop so there's a frequent discontinuity on the sound which I can't tune out. If you could fix this or even better make the storm one I'd download again.
I'm glad it's free, but the loops are very short and you can clearly hear them start over. Very abrupt and not relaxing. Also, the stop button in the main menu doesn't work. (Reviewer's note: Apparently these are problems with Android 4.0. Willing to give it the benefit of the doubt. Try for yourself.)
The loop for rain falling on canvas is not a good loop there is at least a 1 second gap before it starts again so useless for me. For claiming it was mixed and seamlessly looped is a lie don't put that in if it's not true.
This app has been a comforting sleeping companion for years on my iPhone... But then I got an android and the app barely functions at all. Can hear the seam on all the sounds. And "with distant thunder" isn't even included. That was my favorite. So disappointing.
I had this app on my iPod too and it ran great. Got me to sleep as I have sleeping problems -Downloaded this today and it stutters every ten seconds literally. Please fix. For now I am going for another one and uninstall this app
This app has multiple levels and types of rain to choose from as well as a timer, and is able to run in the background. Well done.
I had bought this on my iphone and will definitely buy again if u fix the glitch. I really need the sound for the rain for canvas to sleep. Please fix the compatibility issue with ICS and save my life.. Will buy and rate 5stars if fixed. -XiangsterX
I love this app. Gapless and easy to use on my Nexus 7. One weird thing, after I close and kill the app, I will get 2 notifications about 5 minutes later saying the app has stopped working. Aside from that, its perfect.
This has really helped with my insomnia! I can choose a different rain effect for how I'm feeling and set the timer (30 mins is perfect me) and I almost never hear it switch off as I'm finally asleep. Thank you.
Between the huge gaps in the sounds, and the fact that the timer is forced on me and won't run for a full night of sleep, I can't use this app at all.
The audio skips every 15 seconds or so. Also, it would be nice if there were an option for the audio to pay until an alarm goes off. Currently you are limited to 6 hours and 59 minutes max.
The timer still does not work properly. Once the timer stops counting down the sound keeps on playing. Please fix this as it makes an otherwise really nice app totally unusable. Fix this problem and I'll give you a much higher rating.
Please add more than 6 hours, there are ppl out there that actually sleep for 8 hours. Great app other wise
I used to use this app every night now there are glitches in the sound and it no longer plays a long Constant sound. It stops are starts every 30 seconds.
now it skips every 15 or so seconds and hasn't been fixed, even with the newest update
I live in a camp in the oil field for about 7 months of the year with 10,000 other people and when i need time away this app is just what the doc ordered.
I loved all the apps by this developer on my iPod before I got my GS4. Sad to see there is only this free one here on the play store. Would love some of the others...
Looks like others have this problem too. Makes the app essentially worthless. Hopefully the dev will notice and fix the problem. I'm on Android 4.0 with a GS2.
The loop transitions aren't smooth at all. If you're like me, you end up counting the seconds for the loop to start over. I almost loved this app :(
stutters once every 10-ish seconds, keeps me awake. note 2 android 4.4.2
Love this app, had it for my iPhone before I switched to the Galaxy S3. The iPhone app allowed me to enter longer hours (ie 9 hours) as I use it to sleep because of my tinnitus. Also would be great if the Sleepmaker Waves were ported over to Android, any possibility??? But this has to be the best white noise app for sleeping I have found, well done guys. 4 stars, but if you increase the hours of playtime will increase to 5 stars.
Unfortunately for some reason those days are now gone with sleepmaker only playing a few seconds of the clip and then ubruptly cutting off. Fix and it's back to 5 stars.
The title says it all. The iOD version was/is so much better. I'm not sure when they out a timer on it, or why there's so many limited options, but the apple version had more versatility. I enjoyed being about to play different storm streams so that it wasn't so generic too, sounded more like a real storm. This is not as good. And doesnt work half the time.
