Nice browser, but links are opened in the browser, and then downloaded to your device. Pretty useless. I think the fix is easy, though, as it seems a simple dialog like "Which app would you like to use to open links with" would fix everything.
Could not ask for a better app. Clean interface yet provides lots of choices for viewing the organization of the media. Works with both my TVMOBiLi and Serviio servers. Great work! The media plays in the Chrome browser (on my phone). Updated 1/16/20 Still works. Now on my Pixel 3aXL running Android 10. Cool.
Only works on wi-fi; does not work on a data connection while VPNing into my home network. Also it lacks a 'find' feature (should be able to search current directory or recursively). I will change it to 5 stars if both of these issues are fixed.
Clean and simple, way to go for a phone or tablet. This DLNA player uses the embedded metadata in the video file instead of trying to fetch it on line. The only issue is that the app displays the file systems Date Created instead of the release date of the media.
An excellent DLNA browser with no ads, a servicable interface and excellent speed. If only it had local file download, it would be perfect. But one cannot compain about a free no-ads app, really.
Good app .Good thing about this app is it will play the next media file automatically after it finishes playing one.most other apps I tested did not play next media file automatically. If Random play can be introduced this will become the best all with 5 start rating.
What a great app. The only app in the play store I have foind that can find the DLNA server that has connected to my phone when it's in hotspot mode! If only it could show thumbnails and allow me to download images to my local phone storage.
This is great app. But unfortunately it shows incompatible in play store with my android TV Pie os (MI TV 4A Pro). This tv has inbuilt chrome cast. I have installed through apk but not showing the app in app drawer. Developer kindly look on this matter.
This app really is slick. Would it be possible to have MX-player, vlc, or mpv handle the video playback? Also would it be possible to make this work with a silicon dust hdhomerun device? The hdhomerun shows up but comes up as invalid. Hdhomerun is upnp as well.
Still works great but sometimes fails to connect to media server. Needs an update for more current Android OSes perhaps?
Love it, but please add: - play random in current folder (imagine 2TB collection) - only show dirs with playable items in them - black/night mode color
Great app! Found my upnp quickly. Is it possible to be able to adjust the font? Titles are very small when broadcasting through tv.
While Allconnect can browse my NAS box this program keeps coming up with error 500 and cannot connect. No idea why. Uninstalling.
Excellent! It's always nice to find that old 1mb app that does exactly what you want.
Clean and nice. It doesn't display embedded metadata though.
Best app to use with Stream What You Hear, to stream your audio from your PC to Android.
Working with minidlna, but no subtitles
media file or not webpage i don't need and webpage i needed and media play when i pick a media file not web browser
I got blank screen but same device streamed by vlc player so i hate you.
Easy, simple, elegant
Very easy and useful app
Does not work with minidlna
It is cool
It just works. Don't need my phone to act as a media server and it was surprisingly difficult to find a simple DLNA app that was nothing more than a lightweight client. I already have all the necessary players so it was just a matter of starting the app and letting it find the media server on my network. No ads, no fancy interface. Just a nice simple file lister. Unlike my other DLNA devices, don't have to wait for anything to boot and works with practically all the photo/music/video formats I've got (although the credit there probably belongs to my other player apps).
Surprisingly clean UI and it worked on the first try with my DLNA server. It passes the URL to a network ready player. I use MX. It's just a UPNP player, it doesn't act as a controller for a renderer, but it's handy to watch videos on a tablet.
Please do not advertise for Plex. Unlike your app, it is not free. App works, as promised out of the box with Universal MS, PS3 MS and Windows MS - wich are free..
Very basic and simple UI without any ad, it requires native media player. Minimal.
Nice, simple, clean interface, and works well, other than one major issue. Apparently videos/movies that have any space characters in them (e.g., "Avengers Endgame.mp4", instead of "AvengersEndgame.mp4) are having their file extension stripped off, so they are forced to launch in a browser app (like a "regular" URL) instead of a media streamer app (with a video MIME type URL). You can also see this if you turn on the app's option to show extensions, the ".mp4" has been removed on all the videos that contain a space character. Tried Bubble UPnP, and it works fine, but I like Slick UPnP interface better. Other than that, it works great, but generally will not be useful unless this is fixed. Update: Apparently it does the same with music (MP3) files - if spaces in the file name, MP3 extension is stripped and you can only launch in browser; if no spaces, extension is retained, so it launches in media player.
