Slim Launcher - Fewer distractions, more life

Slim launcher only allows you to use fewer apps on your phone. Giving you more time to enjoy life as it was intended. Also a perfect app for a minimalist lifestyle.

All you need is less.

But this launcher comes with a twist
#1 No wallpapers: Of course Slim comes with a few color themes but that's it. (This is a good thing, trust me)

#2 Slim only allows you to use 5 apps on your mobile. Of course, you can switch and choose the ones you want but cheating slim by always replacing your choices becomes annoying.

#3 No app icons on the home screen. You make your pick to the apps you need the most and they will be displayed by the name on the home screen.

This gives you a pretty simple theme with no sudden distractions.

Don't be afraid to try it out! It's best for minimalists, students who want a strict routine or just about anyone who wants a cleaner, less cluttered home screen.

Very minimalistic! To the extent that you can't even search for your other apps (had to go through settings to find an app I needed to use) Also the swipe from top to bottom on Android that shows settings is only accessible when you scroll from the top of the screen and not anywhere on the device (when you have a big phone it's a big issue).

Good work. I love the fact that because I now have this app my phone no longer eats much battery. It's a real no brainer. Thou I must say if you looking for a much simpler look for your phone, download the app. It reduces the amount of things that are displayed on the screen; however, the things that are displayed all depend on the applications you choose.

I like it. Not sure how practical it is. I need to use banking and financial apps and definitely don't want those on my homescreen. Also when I hit the switch app/multitasking button on the phone, it shows the GUI of the system installed launcher (not sure if that is caused by my tablet or the app). It is great for someone wanting to go back to an old feature phone but still has a need for a few apps. I give it 5 stars for that reason. All in all, It doesn't meet my needs, but I like it.

While great in concept and pretty accurate in execution, I have a few complaints. The number of apps on the home screen should be increasable, so people who need more can choose to have more. Sliding up for the menu doesn't always work or feel natural. Once you're on the menu pressing the home button does nothing, it should take you back to the 5 apps. I know you'd hate this, but a way to open all apps by means of a difficult to access drawer? And lastly, custom themes

Really like this launcher but I would love a version (or additional settings) with a simple, customizable app drawer for apps only used occasionally (like maps, timers, etc). No one really 'needs' more than 5 apps but there are things I use for work and productivity I would like quick access to. I would pay for a more moderate and customizable version like that with the same theme. Less Phone launcher does something similar but doesn't have a separate app drawer so its more distracting.

Works great for me, but I did cheat it a little to make it more comfortable, using Quickball for all the tools that I might need occasionally while in rush (like calculator, notes etc). Yet, I really like it, beacuse my phone is much cleaner now and I don't get lost in all these hoards of apps that I would sometimes use once a month. Only necesary things. Also, UI is very simple and pleasant, which is just what I need, but I wouldn't mind some customization for clock appearance. Thank you!

I liked the design of this launcher and how it provided built-in access to the camera and phone. However, I'd like to be able to choose a calendar app to open (gCal vs. Samsung). Also, after I added a few favorites, I couldn't see a way to swap them out. I think you should be able to change the list from Preferences instead of just getting an annoying notice that you aren't on the home screen. And maybe there should be a list of apps - to make them harder to get to, but not impossible.

Great minimal launcher for those looking to take a break from their phone. Some bugs, though: The last digit of the clock sometimes doesn't show up, and sometimes , the apps I set don't come up, so I have to go to Customise Apps and then come back out to see them again. The swiping on the home screen csn be a bit weird sometimes (but it's brobably because of my screen protector).

Nice, bug free and smooth! It would be cool if the options that appear when you swipe up would be sorted from bottom to top instead of top to bottom. On a large phone they are very hard to reach. I'd love the *option* to gave icons, perhaps monochrome icons to go with the minimal theme! Would make apps easier and faster to recognize.

This is one of the best apps I've encountered with... I use it when I have any approaching exams, just to avoid social media. But the recent updates has got some issues that I think I should inform... 1) A "notes" text in showing on the full app list. 2) The font sometimes fails to work... 3) The app, overall got a bit buggy... Update: Yes I'll. Although that notes things does not always show up, and when it does I'll just click on it.

Amazing app literally made my life better. A small suggestion though if there is a way to integrate/restrict/ show the screen time usage it will add on to the value. Also if there is a way to swipe and access the calander it could be added benefit because when we want to access calender we go to a different app and then the chain of opening all the apps start. Anyway great job loved it. **Waiting for the fix clock update.

This is the best minimal launcher on the play store. I have tried almost all minimal launchers but this one really helps reducing disturbance. It has size less than 1mb and that helps phone to work fluently. Also it has no adds and has never asked me to rate this app. It does what it says. Thanks🤙 If it also had the feature of adding tasks, it would become the perfect launcher.

BUG : If too many lines in notes the keyboard hides the writing and it doesnt scroll. Maybe its not a bug but it would be better if you do that The interface is great and it fulfils the reason for which i downloaded it-Declutter the look of my phone. The themes should be more customisable with choice of colors. I like the concept and its better than the apps i have installed better. The upcoming in notes is a great thing to lauch and i am waiting for it. it also be great to have password notes

Great app! For the next update/s can you please allow for up to 8 apps on the drawer because I've got a bunch of therapy apps and opening another launcher for that one app quickly becomes annoying. Also, I think 7 looks kinda odd, maybe 8 would look better? Oh and, auto back to homescreen (not the drawer, when you press the home button) after opening apps please. Right, landscape mode too please. Yeah I know that's a lot to ask, just do your best ~ Have a good day :)

This was exactly what i was looking for for my phone, so that i could be more efficient in my time management by restricting phone usage. I really yhink that if anyone out there is looking for the perfect minimalist launcher, that this is what they should download. i am glad that there is not an app drawer as that would be exactly what i would not want to have. Thanks for developing this app for free without adds! One thought- could you have dedicated buttons for Maps or for a messaging app?

Don't waste your time with reading other comments, just try it. That's the best.// I think you can add these features: 1- You can adjust a ring to clock and the ring of the clock according to the remaining battery. 50% charge = a half circle, like this or upper right icon we can see our battery directly. 2- Selecting another apps for calendar and alarm. I'm not using my phone's default alarm app and I couldn't change it. I added my alarm app to the home screen. 3- Support to another languages.

the app is good and especially: it is free well designed app without any ads. So the developer deserves the respect. But IMO at tbe end of the day these it is missing the big picture: minimalism does not means unpractical. Limitting the number of apps Removing the app drawer is not minimalist, this is unrealistic if you are working with ur phone and going back and forth between several apps, and also need to dig some others apps from time to time. So this kind of app is unpractical. Too bad.

Everything is awesome except that there is no way to access any other apps. I want to limit my access to them, but not cut them out entirely. If that was the case I would just uninstall them. So if there was an app drawer, or a search bar or something when you swipe down or something that's still going to be very helpful. Otherwise it's the best one currently available

Love this apps. Super clean and simple. I don't have any problem with only six apps list. I can get access to all of my apps, with just a simple trick. Install an apps drawer (I use "Organized drawer" very small size ). Simply put it on the list and wallahh, you can get access to all of your apps within this launcher. Thanks developer for this awsome apps.

Jos. M. Feb 17, 2019

Really neat app. I'd like it if I could put all of the apps on the homescreen where I could just scrolls down, instead of just 5 apps on the home screen. I can't seem to access any of my other apps. I like not having an app drawer. I thought originally this would be just a list of apps in text form. Still a really cool idea!

The best launcher to eliminate digital distractions.Allows the user to use basic apps plus any five apps of choice, which is more than enough to get stuff done. Interface is simple, yet elegant and smooth. Plus doesn't keep bugging you for money. A huge thanks to the developer! Looking forward to future updates 🙂

I had been using LessPhone hoping for an open source alternative to come along, and I finally found Slim! Not only is it open source, it's just a better launcher overall. The design is clean, minimalist, and beautiful. I'd you're looking for a way to minimize distractions on your phone, this is 100% the way to go!

The UI is incredibly easy to use! beautiful and minimalistic. it's very easy on the eyes. But is there any possible way that you might be able to add at least one more tab? Maybe a few more tabs if wanted. you could possibly make a premium version for the application for maybe a price of a coffee. I'd definitely pay!

Awesome app ! particular error- happens when i am in split screen and then i press home button some app are not visible, unless i clear recent apps suggestion- the setting arrow( ^ ) at bottom of the screen ruins the overall text only look . It would look more cool to have it on upper left corner or something. But hey thats just what i think . Very nice app 👍
