Fun app, unique idea, fair monetization. The delay on messages manages to cut down on filler and time wasting, which makes for more meaningful conversations that ordinary texts. People are generally very nice, and I've made some good friend through it. It seems like the app biases towards certain countries with its userbase, but I suppose that's only natural.
I really love the app and the concept, only problem is I've sent what feels like hubdreds of letters, they have all veen received but I've gotten no feedback at all. I don't mind waiting for the letter to be sent but seeing it has already arrived and i don't even know if they've read it is a bit sad. I will keep the app for a while and see what happens. It would really be helpful if we could see if the recipient read the letter in stead of it just showing delivered at this time
This goes to show, that doing something rarely makes it precious. Doing it everyday, everytime and everywhere, it becomes a chore, just another day. As one coach said "You don't go looking for what you already have". Now with the harsh truth. Sometimes the app just freezes forcing me to close it down and reopen, and most of the time, I can feel the app get sluggish on me. Maybe it has to do with my ancient phone but optimization doesn't hurt anyone.
I don't usually rate and give reviews to apps but this app is great! I have suggestions though which I feel like other users may also like: 1. Be able to change the paper color. 2. Be able to edit pictures, draw, and add stickers onto the paper like a real letter. 3. Be able to WRITE using your finger because penmanship makes letters more special than typing. 4. One of, if not the best application I have ever installed. It brings back the lost art of letter writing. We get so used to just sending short texts these days, but this is very different, and all the better for it. Have wrote to people in Europe, Asia, the USA, and had replies from them all, and I have only been using it for about a week. Thankyou developers for a quality application.
Been using Slowly for some years now. I have yet to recommend another app as much as I have recommended this. It's a shame that the homepage has so much info I'd rather not see, such as random stuff related to other users. Just my inbox is fine. By the way, this is perfect for platonic people who just want to exchange thoughts. No need to share photos or anything unnecessary about you. Just thoughts. How wonderful is that?
1 star for the extremely tedious sign up process that made me enter loads of details, pick interests, design an avatar etc, before finally letting me enter an email. But no normal email/password setup, that would be too easy. Instead they tell me I'll get a 1 time passcode that has to be used in <15 mins. But that email never comes, there's no way to resend it and by now I've decided this is all rediculously overcomplicated, I'm uninstalling the app & I'm unlikely to ever try it again
It's a great idea with a multitude of potential. Could very much appreciate if shorter durations or a duration cap. Like make it 24 hours maximum, not necessarily 36 or whatever. I think that would benefit the app. Best of luck on its development slowly team! Go slowly!
Just installed the app cause it seemed to me that it is pretty cool app, I didn't even begin using it that it already not working I just filled the information file and completed my profile and it doesn't want to work! seriously I never had such a thing in my life, it's pretty impressive! generally it's after using the app that it stops working, not before.
It could be a 5 star review. The idea is great but it's frustrating to use. I can't use the app without wifi connection, meaning I can't read or write a letter while on commuting. MAJOR FAIL. Three years later this is still an issue.
Would be nice to have a cheaper alternative for Slowly Plus with less features.. one idea could be like half the price of an annual plan but instead of all 8 features I get to choose maybe 2 or 3 of the ones I really want?
The app is very good. Loving it so much. Made connections from different areas of the world but of late it's been having issues where it hangs making it impossible to complete the letter. It also auto refreshes when typing resulting to loss of unsaved paragraphs. Hope you fix the problems ❤️.
I enjoy slowly for it's throwback to actual pen pals. As a kid I would have pen pals from all over and as it was the 90s it would come through actual mail! I would give it five stars but it's seems to get stuck loading sometimes which can be a bummer when sending or receiving letters. Otherwise it's a good app for slow communication!
Overall, the app is great! You can meet "all sorts of people" and even enjoy yourself reading their letters. I really regret the fact that there's no Location-based Mozambique stamp. This is not an isolated case.
I would have given it a 5 star review. The app is great, I recommend it to anyone who wants to make genuine friendship over internet. other apps might let you meet new people but the concept of this app never lets any message be meaningless. it's wonderful. however, the stamp collecting and reward thing which you need to watch a video to earn, is not working for me. I have reinstalled it twice. checked my connection. everything is working just fine, except slowly just won't load the ad.
Amazing idea and a great interface; very user friendly. I just wish there was a more precise way of finding people with similar interests. As of now, the topics you match with are very broad. And I also wish there was a way to earn free coins - like watching ads and so on.
I don't rate apps but this is an exception. This is my first time that I seriously rate an app where I have to go through playstore and look for this instead of directing it from the app itself which is the common tactics now. I love this app for the fact that I realized how much I dislike chat and prefer slow conversation. This is where my writing skill shown potential and I like how I'm able to express more here. You guys deserve 5 star. I want to say more but I'm already in my limit
I'm loving it so far. The concept is simple but good. It feels comfortable and convenient to use. Thanks for bringing this idea to life! Thanks for the app! I'm a new fan of this app (and hopefully i wouldn't find any trouble in the future that would change my opinion about this app). Some suggestions if i may : -It would be great if it were easier for us to get the coins, maybe through some missions? -Everytime we read a Slowly story, i think we should be able to click on the person's profile
it's amazing to find people from different countries and receiving letters from them. experience of waiting for letters to arrive is something that is very nostalgic, and it feels so great. talking anonymously to people and sharing things with them is like living a different life. it's like I am talking to a diary that I write daily but that diary replies me back. waiting for someone's message in regular apps is very depressive but waiting for letter in slowly is awesome.
It feels like yesterday. Good somehow to wait a response. But unfornately when i have to reply the letter i am eventually forget what i have to answer or respons. In the old days we hold the letter as we write the reply. So we can arrange a good communication in sentences. Other than that nowadays we get used to respon a message directly in chat or if its a delay response we write it with seeing the message. That's all i thought. Would be there any feature to reply in the same page?
Personally I love this apps so far. Yes, we have to wait for letters, from hours to days, depends on the distance. But that's the best part for me. Just as the name of the apps, I slow down my time and so far I don't feel have to rush myself to reply any letter ASAP. Finally, I have time to wait, to receive, to read, to think, to write, and to send a letter to a stranger out there..
Thank you for resolving the login issue! I have other input, if you could fix it, it'll be awsome. I using Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, with auto rotate on. Everytime I rotate the apps keep reloading, so it's kinda annoying.
it's good it takes time to arrive letters for you and it really helps your creativity if you try sending letters first it forces you to use the parts of brain that help you engage in a good conversation is what I think so far my experience of it has been that of patience and joy sometimes it did disappointed me but that's what the 4 star for it's not perfect but it's good enough
slowly is such a clever idea! it's taking the idea of penpals and letter exchange and bringing it into the modern age, making the act of making new friends and learning about other cultures more accessible! i haven't used it much yet, but this is a really fun app so far!
This app is amazing, and I've had no problems with it. I've met a lot of interesting and cool people. 100% recommend! But, for some reason, in the past few minutes I can't load the screen, and it just keeps getting stuck. I'll update if it gets fixed. Edit: I think it was just my Wi-Fi. It's fine now 😊
It's a very good app for communicating through time delayed letters and it couldn't get better as it gives us an option to become Penpal with persons of any country given that they accept our request. The only thing that irks me is that the app has a lot of glitches after the update and I'm not able to communicate with my friends. Please repair this problem ASAP
