Sony needs to update this app, and the firmware of the device, kindly no need standby light, I like the alarm but with dark room.

It's ok but it's a shame as you cannot select a fixed light colour as an added feature. All the great colours are there. Would be good to have a nightlight mode while plugged in and charging and choose the light colour you want.😄
This device is not fit for purpose on my Xperia XZ running Nougat 7.0, considering its 'designed for phones.' You'd think Sony Mobile would have sorted the clash with the Google app out by now. But no, they advise you to uninstall the Google app instead. Why would you want to do that?! And they still have the nerve to sell this product at an extortionate price. I have got it to work as an 'OK Google' device whilst connected via Bluetooth to my phone, but like others have said it doesn't play well when other devices are connected to the phone. And it doesn't show the info on the display but on your phone instead. Kind of defeats the object! I've got it to work on my older Z3 Tablet Compact running Marshmallow 6.0.1 as it's designed to with no problems at all. So may I suggest using this accessory on a different device to your main phone maybe if you're having problems with it.
For the price I paid for this speaker I've expected a little more...such as radio function,a bit of storage.... It works fine,but can you please give us the option to keep the display on all the time? It can be used as a bed side clock, but the blinking display it's annoying.... Thank you.
I'm not sure if it's the hardware or it's something that can be solved by firmware. The sound pops from time to time.
At first it did not work with my HTC U11 Android 7.1.1 but after upgrading to Android 8 it works on my phone just fine. Overall it's quite a nifty fun device and I like it for the cheaper price now.
Minimalistic application with no love from maker Sony. Same with product, minimalistic battery life, minimalistic functions and minimalistic sound. What's maxed out is only the price.
Add more action please, and ok speaker command is not to sensitive
It'd be nice to have an option to switch the clock from a 24hr display to a 12hr display. Shouldn't be difficult to at least add this. Otherwise it Could have alot of potential but they just aren't adding any new features.
The interaction has been interrupted because the connection between your smartphone and device has been lost. Check you bluetooth... Blah blah blah, every time no matter how since I bought this gadget, now I'm using it as a potable speaker but it takes nearly 300 USD.
It can't find my paired speaker.
Is cool bet it world be cooler if it world with all sony and tables the same way
Speaker is good but app could do with alot more customisation options like being able to change the alarm tone etc

The bluetooth drops out no matter what command I give it. Voice recognition is spotty - it only recognises your command if you say things really slow and methodical. I'll update my review and score if things improve which I'm really hoping they will as the idea of this speaker is awesome. At the moment I'm feeling extremely ripped off putting so much money into an unfinished product.
I bought the ball with the hopes it would have all the features available for tablet use, instead it just play music and works as an speaker alarm, i hate the fact that the features only work for android phones,i dont wanna have to have a android phone just to use everything please make an update for tablets
Works fine with English. Funny dancer :)
The voice activation feature does not work on the z2 tablet which makes for a very expensive Bluetooth speaker.
Doesn't work with Xperia xz premium phone. Will not update firmware. So it does not work. What a waste of money.

This app adds more functions for sure but it is no comparison to Alexa or Google. It is more like an early prototype. I use it mostly as a glorified alarm clock and speaker.
