Instructions1. Start the camera and switch on Smart Remote Control App from your Sony Camera, (For Models like DSC-QX10, QX100, skip this step).2. Trouble Shooting/FAQQuestion: My camera is not connecting/discovering.Answer: Make sure to switch on your Camera, start Smart Remote Control App for supported models (no need for DSC-QX100 like models). Tap on refresh icon, if prompts enter password which should be visible in your camera or printed in backside.
Question: I followed the instruction, still not working.Answer: Please make sure you are able to connect the Camera Wifi through your Mobile Wifi Manager and try again.
Question: Flash Mode settings not appearingAnswer: Please note that the features are depending on camera models and settings, so you may not see some features.
Question: How can I set Focus point.Answer: Just tap anywhere on preview screen, the AF will set accordingly on phone( only for supported models)
Question: I frequently get "unable to take picture" in time lapse modeAnswer: Please try to increase the time interval, as it needs some time to capture the photos in device and transferring to phone.
Question: I was able to connect the camera last time, but not connecting now.Answer: Some time, Camera changes its wifi Password, so make sure that you are able to connect the Camera Wifi manually.

Beyond useless! When it eventually connects, it can't control the camera even though it's listed!
Waste of time. The only bit that seems to work are the in app adds.

Picture you just took overlaps live view. Cannot get see enough to take next picture Fix that problem and it would be a good app. Also qx10 orientation is 180. Pic are upside down-Sony camera situation
Once a wrong camera password is entered there is no way to reset to the correct one. Even deleting the app and restoring it does not allow for entering the corrected password.
Couldn't get it to connect with my a6300 at all. Total waste of time. Not sure what I'll be able to do now. Without a remote, I can't do what I need to do with this camera.
I can't even conect my dsc hx 90v.

This is so difficult why can't a huge corporation like sony make a simple app to go with a camera really not happy with this
App seems a little 'snap happy'. Would be nice to be able to focus on a particular area with long press WITHOUT taking a photo. Does work with A77ii.
Why I have shutter speed dial but dont have aperture dial. Doesnt have good trigger communication with my sony a7r2 . After one record push , i cant communicate with camera. Please fix

Won't connect a6000
Doesn't work with a6000 but says it connected, just did update as suggested on 4-19-16 and still nothing, matter of fact now it won't even connect at all. This program is worthless. I shoot professional and thought this might be woth the try.....nope. yet again another update 04-20-16 yes I hit refresh many trys and retrys. Have you actually used this app on the phones you said work with this?
A little slow to connect but I love the zoom function.
Tested with Nexus 5, Android 6.0, Sony a7s. First time around, upon connection with the camera was presented with a blank screen. Uninstalled. After some time installed again. Started a sequence of ten shots with 5 sec interval. After the third image taken the rest produced "failure to capture" error message. Another sequence of 5 went through OK, after which the next sequence of 5 didn't take a single shot - all capture errors. Very immature overall, the UI looks like a prototype for the engineers to test the sdk, not as a end-user app.
... But we have to disconnect and reconnect Wifi manually in phone Settings, and use Sony app for focus and exposure setup first.
Started the camera and app, they connected and that was all that happened. The "instructions" do absolutely nothing.
This software is a scam. It doesn't work and it pops up an image over the uninstall dialog so you can't remove it.
Loaded sony a6000 once but failed to shoot photos. Now doesn't connect to camera anymore. Total waste of time I'll never get back. Ads are terrible as well.
