Really good and easy to use. Just open it and navigate straight foward. I quite like the feature that the compass overlays the map and makes very easy to find your direction. In addiction to the exact display of the address and as a bonus the weather forecast. Also it shows the magnetc field that influences the needle deviation. So far it it's the best compass I ever tried.
When I change the weather from Celcius to Farenheit it changes it right back to Celsius each time I leave the page. There is also no way to change any other setting such as the wind speed from km/h to mp/h. The address it is picking up is also incorrect; it is on my block but it's my neighbors house and there is no way to manually correct it. If you can tell me how to correct these issues I will gladly give you a 5 star rating.
The reaction is exceptional. It also shows a level in the middle. Yea, it has an ad when it starts. So does 90% of all the other apps. I suspect it works better on a higher end phone too. I have a note 10+. Aome of the low end phones don't have as good a set of sensors or near the processing power.
Does lots of things that I'll never use probably, for example, the weather. One thing that I utilize heavily at work is latitude and longitude coordinates. However the preferred display nowadays is in decimal form. It would be nice if you could switch from the old style which most people don't use any longer and decimal display. Other than that it's a nice app.
Still fiddling with it. So far, it seems accurate. The graphics are clean, utilitarian, and pleasing. Sunset and rise are useful, moonrise and set would be good to have as well. It tells you when and how much light you can expect at night.
Full page ads, what more can i say. Overall i don't mind an ad or 2, but i don't like full page LOUD ads, especially when i'm trying not to disturb others. The other thing which i dislike, is that right from the start, when i hit the back key, a popup asking me to rate the app. FFS, at least give me time to evaluate, οΌ get to know the app first, οΌ offer the option to rate it later. Whenever i'm forced to rate an app in this way, i always hit ONE star. I'm uninstalling this app right now. πππ
Absolutely amazing compass app !!! Easy to use , and the compass overlay with the satellite map is awesome !!! It comes with very handy extras like weather forecast and even reads in Farenheit and Celsius . Highly recommendable for anyone from the weekend hiker to the seasoned explorer ... I'd give this app 10 stars instead of 5 !!!
Three for now based on clean easy to use interface for magnetic compass readings and easy interface to overlay compass onto Google maps...both regular and satellite layer...but where is the true N true S and/or integrated correction for local magnetic declination (+8.1 deg at my current location)...my expectation from a "Smart Compass" would be that this feature would be integrated based on GPS coordinates of the user and the app description says it provides both mag and true direction
Just not accurate, even with WiFi turned off as suggested. Improves slightly with WiFi off, but varying error depending on phone orientation. No Calibration option. Seriously affected by cases with magnetic catch. Nice design but accuracy has to be prime. Will uninstall as more reliable Ines ΓΊ7β available.
Awesome app. One minor issue. Switching from C to F temp works fine in weather but there is no change from km to miles. That basically excludes the entire USA for native measurements. Other than that this compass + rocks. Everything is useful and intuitive.
Unbelievable just used this for the first time. The instand ability to share data via sms and cooy and use this for drone and location services is brilliant. I normally have folders for all apps and a few good ones make it to the background on there own. This is one of them. Fine workmanship. Bought instantly
Update:. The compass was wonderful until I used it today, then it started popping full page ads. Then ads permanently paste themselves on the bottom of the screen covering up data that I want to see. I'm uninstalling this app. I am extremely disappointed.
Beautiful app I didn't expect Satellite maps, Weather report and the other features. Can't wait to put it in my car dashboard. This is great! This is like adding a new option to my car for "Free". Thank you very much for the gift!π€
So far so good , nice maps from Os to satellite and weather forecasting is pretty spot on . Thr adds are so annoying though. Would give it 5 stars only for the annoying interruptions . Let us use the app and enjoy it . Constant interruptions spoil a good app .
I use this app first time and immediately give 5 stars for accurateness in location , not approximately, but actively describe in detailed point of the latitude and longitude ; furthermore , the app's color's combinations are Superior in clearities ; I can't wait to see the degree of certain angels in this application. Thank you !
It gives the wrong address/location and this cannot be corrected. It is off by 50 metres. The compass is off/incorrect by up to10%, that's just not good enough. Needs improvement and better calibration. Not useful unless you use it as a toy.
The smart compass shows different reading to the overlay one. 90Β° out. Continually being asked to rate it and I've only just got it and you cant delete the dialogue. Like the way you can use it with different types of map.
I think the app is the best compass app so far. However the play store ad for the app says it is ad-free and it's not! One less star for that. It could use some settings such as choices of latitude longitude read out,also metric vs standard.
Best compass app I have found. I've tried out several but they always had extra unnecessary options. The one I had before I saw this one didn't even tell the right time! So, it's everything I wanted and no purchases to get stuff I don't want anyway.
Compass is clear and quite accurate. It does have a few handy options but not so many to make it cluttered. I like the 7 day weather forcast option. I have only had this app for 1 week and so far no problems.
What an exceptional app! It displays the compass over satellite view, topographic maps and regular road maps. You can send your precise location via sms. I will be using this app a lot in the bush! Well done.
Just downloaded and explored some of the features. Intuitional interface. I didn't explore the share location. It would be nice to integrate this with hiking project so that maps could be available offline.
Was accurate in the first week. Now the app is off by 40*. It is not accurate anymore, there is no updates for correction. The developer needs to use functions for calibration to keep it accurate for the users. I was using this for my job, but can no longer use it.
I like the app based on its simplicity and specific info such as magnetic strength, weather and its precision of location. I will be expecting new features every update. Nice work!
Looks really good. Had to give a low rating as there were 2 important errors. Said my altitude was 8m when it is 470m quite a difference. (I am near Mt Cook). The other was 8.7m visibility at night time. If these were fixed I would give a higher rating.
Like the idea but just not accurate. When laying phone flat and pointing top of phone north, i then turn the phone 90Β° to the right so it's facing east and the compass shows it's between SE and S. Wouldn't want to use this if I needed it.
Nice little app. I'm directionally challenged and this is accurate, shows direction, map, address, GPS coordinates, weather, sunrise/sunset times and can share location easily. No add is even nicer π
Disapointing: Theres no tutorial/instruction manual. I have had it for 1+wks, & find the most time I've spent on this app is to get it to work. Wont hold F temp mode. No covert to miles. How bout instruction tab to lead you to common sense operation manual. Was hoping to use this to do Geocacing & also for use to find or place GPS locations at Cemeteries to mark family internments. Disappointing. Uninstilling.
Just installed and found it off by 60Β° at my location, Vancouver, BC. No settings or way to calibrate. Nice features but needs more work and an in app resonable purchase to remove ads. Uninstalled.
I have used a number of compass apps with my classes and personally over the last few years. Smart compass is the best I have ever seen by far! It seems to cover all the bases and is very easy to use. The navigation settings and ability to maps and bearings at one time is amazing. The integration of weather forecast is great too.
