This app, even after 9.99 purchase, places ads within the Notification Menu and even when the app has not been active for a long time. Daily Ads are placed in my Notifications Window. I wasted Ten Dollars trusting their statement to remove all ads. And I have never seen another app that actually places ads within your phone notifications pull-down menu. If it weren't for the company taking my money with a false promise to remove ads, I would give this app 5 stars for its functionality, accuracy, and ease of use. My brain is slow cognitively; It took me weeks to figure out where in the world these Notification Menu ads were generated. Then, I was more disappointed when I checked my receipts and I had paid $9.99 to remove all ads.
Only 1 reason why I did not give this app a 5 star is because of the various ad that pops up. A previous review by a user made the comment and was told to purchase the paid version which would prevent ads from appearing as it was their revenue stream (& I agree with that). I purchased the paid version to avoid those ads but I still get them. To clarify, they do not appear while I am using the app, but they pop up on my notification when NOT using the app. A little annoying.
The main screen could do with a simplified design. For one, I suggest the developer does away with the colourful areas and multiple coloured fonts for a much cleaner look-and-feel. The developer also mustn't assume we all live in the US and should make units such as speed (which show on the map screen) user-configurable.
Paid $10 but still get ads in the form of push notifications every hour of the day and night. The app is cluttered but okay. *Update: The advertising notifications have stopped, thank goodness! I upgraded from zero stars to three. I will reassess the program and consider rating it higher. Thank you, developers for responding. ***Second update: It is 12:20 in the morning. Compass just woke me up with an ad.

Ad notifications even when not in use. I get that free apps have ads. I am fine with banner ads and such in a free app when I am using it. However, having advertisements chime notifications on my phone at random times of the day and night is beyond ridiculous. Do not download.

!! I don't understand how a very very old phone I had like 5 years ago had a magnetometer and or gyroscope (wish I could remember what it was) I'd gladly go back. Have some samsung galaxy j something and it only has proximity and accelerometer, I know people who have lg stylo 5 and other weird names that I thought were better then mine but also they dont have the ability to use compass apps or star map apps(really miss sky map) its 2020 and phones are more limited now then few years ago.
I had to pay for this app to get w/o ads. Then I had to calibrate the compass. Too much hassle. But I was able to calibrate the compass. Just have to go through to much stuff to get to use the compass, hence the 3 stars.

pro: good looking GUI con: 1. a few too many ads popping up when starting ap and when closing it.(distracting when in motion) 2.. heading jumps around quite a bit when in motion. (a user controlled dampening function would be good) 3.. will not reorient to "landscape" mode despite phone is set to autorotate screen. (makes it difficult to mount on some vehicle phone holders)
