Use your phone as a dedicated strike Alert unit while you take a call or while checking email with the background button on the app. You can setup the app to monitor up to four reels and four additional upcoming SMART CONNECT products, ( SMART CONNECT lantern, tent light, pathway light, cap light), and never touch your phone while fishing. Text notification will tell you the specific reel with a bite. One hour auto shutdown with no activity. All SMART CONNECT products communicate directly with the app and together with the SMART CONNECT reel.

Verbal prompts can be turned on or off in the app. After casting your reel and connected to the app the reel is scanning for a strike. When you reel in your line with either a fish or to rebait or recast your line the voice prompt will tell you it’s disconnected. After recasting or taking off your trophy catch simply push the button on the SMART CONNECT reel and it will tell you connected. The blue LED will go solid blue when it is connected. For those without a smartphone the SMART CONNECT reel will default as a night fishing bite alert if not connected to the app in the on position. It will flash a red led on the reel with a preset bank fishing setting. All SMART CONNECT Spinning reels feature a rechargeable USB with quick connect / disconnect features built into the reel. This makes it convenient to charge the device without bringing the rod or reel inside.
