Smart Distance
This rangefinder (telemeter) measures the distance to a target using camera perspective. The effective distance is 10m-1km. It can be very useful to golfers, hunters and sailors.
To measure the distance, you should know the height (width) of a target.Don't worry!! Man's height is 1.7m(5.6ft), a golf flag is 7ft, a bus is 3.2m(10.5ft), a door is 2.1m(7ft). We can guess approximate height of almost everything.
Furthermore, if you know an aircraft model, you can measure the altitude of a flying aircraft. For reference, Boeing 747's width is 72 meters (236ft).
Usage is simple: Input the height(width) of the target, and touch the screen. If the target is aligned by 2 green lines, get the measured distance.

Pretty good, easy to use. Better than the "smart measure" that's a bit complicated.
Don't whine about free apps. You download, you try it, it doesn't work and you uninstall it. I tried it and it was not accurate but I'm not going to complain about it. I actually wasn't looking for something very accurate but I'm agitated by having to guess the height of something because the object for which I have to guess a height is 100 ft away and not directly next to the distance I am measuring.
This app couldn't be any more inaccurate at shorter distance. It seems to be better at distances over 60 yards or so but even then it's really iffy you can point at something 10ft away and it'll tell you that it's 80 yards though. I installed this before I paid for the premium but I definitely am not going to even bother
tool works fine if you're educated on how this works. You put in the targets height, and then adjust the green box to match the targets size. it may not be perfect exactly, but it's a free app that works as good as a cheap spotting scope range finder.
not intuitive to use and the measurement it gave was way off. it gave a measurement of 80 yards for what I know is under 6 feet. messed with it and got a low number of 15ft.
This app is nearly impossible to use it is hard to understand and I would not recommend this for any child with a school project or anyone on a tight schedule.

Please enable us to use Portrait orientation, and add zooming capability (it just adds some simple maths)
It seems to work ok, but there isn't a way too clear the ad on the bottom to see the whole screen
You install it, configure it and you're good to go! It works well and is helpful. It provi everything you could ask for.
