Clearly there's issues with this app. One second it displays prices and the correct "depts" when "shopping" within the app. The next it doesn't display prices and clicking ANY dept in "shop" gets a mixed mess of items with no prices. It just glitches out. Earlier it was fine, now it's back to being glitched and basically worthless. For now the only fix (for me) is to delete and reinstall the app till it glitches out again of which I have already done twice.
Hard to use for older people. Terrible waste of time for the rest of us, creates long shopping lines. Poor clerks get stressed out trying to help. Just trash.
There is no way to delete the expired or used coupons. I don't like that they are still in my app. They are using memory, when they aren't usable. Doesn't make any sense. We should be able to delete them. I haven't had any other problems with the app. I have the cashier scan my bar code before they scans items. That seems to work pretty well. You really have to read the details for each coupon.
Absolutely the worst app out there. The digital 15% is so confusing to find and clip. They show it on the newspaper as a discount but when you try to find the discount, it's not there. The 15% link should be accessed by adding it from the product. They should look at the Safeway app and learn how they do it.
Cannot use this app at all. I cannot even sign in. Do not understand why I cannot use the phone app. I have other apps and they work just fine.
Horrible. Completely unnecessary and complicated process to achieve savings. And forcing email and phone in order to continue enabled data tracking. I was denied the sale without using the app, so I downloaded and registered while 5 people behind me in line, then I deleted the app. The future is now, old man.
This is a very poor app. It consumes tremendous amount of battery power because their server does not have adequate band width and my cell phone just shows the whirling dots while it tries desperately to stay connected. Their promise to give me a 15% off my first purchase coupon has not happened! They are not ready to do this, it should be called a beta app and then release it to the public in a year or two. I would love to offer more specific information to help their programmers, but there would have to be something that works in order for me to have constructive criticism.
Horrible App. This has to be the worst experience I've ever had with an app. Keeps freezing. Can't log in. Phone number isn't recognized. And why would you advertise 15% when it's only good online. QR code takes you to website not app to download. If i could give 0 stars I would. My mom had a cart full of stuff that she wanted to use the digital coupons for. But between 3 phones no one get the stupid app to work!
The digital coupons don't work. The price on the store receipt is still full price. The app appears to just be a way to get your email and phone # during the sign up process. I have always liked Smart & Final. I wasn't expecting this when I installed this app
What good is your app if the items on the mailed digital ad that clearly says "-15% Digital Coupon" is NOT able to be saved in my digital coupon section of the app??? Doesnt make sense! Oh and your QR code in the printed ad doesnt work (tried on 3 phones). Also, it would be nice if we could just enter our phone number at the checkout that way my Hubby can do the shopping on the same acct too without me having to be there with my phone. Vons and other stores do this and it is very convenient.
Such a frustrating experience. I went through all the trouble just to save $4 on a coupon. And it won't even show the barcode for the discount. The managers said they couldn't do anything about it. I got frustrated. I paid full price for my items and left. Not worth it.
Digital coupons do not load or populate search screen. Signed up on mobile site and then account wasn't recognized on app. Technically signed up on the same email twice somehow? Can't get any of the deal which is the whole point of the app. Horrible.
This app sucks. Cant get the items I choose to show the right price. QR code wont work for me. Alot of trouble trying to add items, then have to find coupon that goes with it. Then it disappears. Way lot of troublr. I will gíve it a cpl more wks, maybe it will be fixed by then.
I shop Smart and Final for some items regularly because of the quality and reasonable price. But the advertisement of 15% off in addition to the sales price in store display and email is misleading and fraudulent. When the cashier scan the code on my phone, the price on the items being advertised is only 15 % off the regular price, not in addition to the sales price. I had to argue with the shift manager, who reluctantly credited me the discount price.
My issue is that I arrived at the register , only to find I needed an app to get the discounts I was used to. The manager tried to tell me it had been like that for half a year, which was a blatant lie, I had been in the store 3 weeks before. I could not read the reviews until I installed the app that I did not want in the first place. Based on those, I am not even going to try it. I am sick of having to install junk apps to get a discount at a store I frequent and will shop elsewhere.
California law says you have to sell items at the advertised price. I found Pepsi, $3 off regular price on a nice, well placed sign referencing digital coupons. I download the app in the store. No digital coupons for Pepsi. I take the sign to the cashier and ask what are we going to do about this. Cashier replies "do you have an account with us?" No, I don't. "You have to have an account with us to get that coupon." Nobody else does what they're supposed to, either. Nothing new here.
I I downloaded the app and it does not work right. It just 'searches' indefinitely when you actually click on any of your selections. Deleted app. Back to Smith's and Albertsons...
I was in store #390 yesterday. I asked an employee for help with the S & F app. Marcos gladly helped me. He was very knowledgeable, patient and polite. I would have never been able to get the digital coupons without his help!!
No star. Worse experience ever. S&F suck! 1st, the website takes forever to load. That's reason why I dl the app. 2nd, S&F website and app isnt clear of their inventory for each location. For instance, if one item is available for delivery, you can add any else that may not be available in the cart and check out. Lastly, it allow you to select a location for pick up or delivery, which means to me that the item is coming from that location. So, of course the main thing I wanted isn't available!
The worst. No pick up option, glitchy, slow, erased my saved list, no record of items ordered but not received, poor search function.... and for some reason I can't order eggs! When things I know the store carries don't come up in the search, is it because they are out of stock, because the search didn't work, or because you can't order that item online? The app gives no indication. (Galaxy S10)
GARBAGE app due to extremely POOR development and maintenance. Smart & Final is a billion dollar corporation that apparently has partnered with a delivery service. Therefore the online (desktop) experience and mobile app are purposely designed and implemented POORLY to confuse and frustrate users, and force users to use the delivery service app, instead. Furthermore, ALL of these legitimate issues posted here are NEVER responded to, nor mitigated! DO NOT DOWNLOAD! DO NOT USE!

Because of vision issues and dyslexia. I would like to see a dark mode because it is easier to read. With light mode I have found for that of about the last year the print that is supposed to be dark black appears as. A medium to light gray thus hard to read. And according to studies dealing with people with dyslexia they do better with white print on black background or some other dark color. I know I have. On top of dome other vision issues I have fat I was diagnosed with as a kid has worsene.
Plenty to choose from. Don't have to buy bulk. Have to wait months sometimes for things to come back on the shelf. Like Stonebridge naan bread. It's been 5 months or lemon cake in the frozen section. Waiting since November! Different variety of religious candles used to be 4/$5. Now 1.29 or 1.49 each. A lot of rotten green grapes in bags. Anyone checking? No consistency on products. Took 2 weeks to get muti cat litter. The staff is very nice and friendly. The store is organized well. Clean too.
Very user unfriendly, clipped discount coupons frequently are not applied at point of purchase. For a very large company this app feels like it was created in a high school computer lab.
Can't ever get app to open or always get no internet connection. Have remove and reinstalled numerous times. Guess I'll have to go back to Costco...
Weekly ad does not show and when you try to sort a specific category, it continues to show the entire list of items.
The app does not find items on special. Also the app does not immediately show the barcode that you need to present at the cashier when you clip on a coupon that has already been saved.
This is the most ridiculous, unfriendly applications that I have ever had to deal with. I should have left all the merchandise at the counter. I certainly won't be shopping at Smart & Final in the future. Thanks for nothing.
It doesn't do searches well within the app. But what is most frustrating is the fact that that i have to log in, a minimum of, three times while I am using when I try clipping the coupons. Very frustrating. Also I clipped the 15% off bag coupon and it wouldn't ring up. I tried several times but to no avail.
