Just got it working as a universal remote. Great at learning a new remote. Would like it to allow a long press, or even better, a shortcut to emulate a number of key presses, perhaps as a macro
I've had this for sometime now and haven't had any issues. works flawless when I'm away from home, I have 3 wall outlets 2 light switches 1 garage opener. I haven't found a wifi thermostat yet ,but will try soon. thanks good APP
Smart IR device bills itself as being IFTTT compatible however the only triggers and actions available on IFTTT are for lights and switches. So you can't do anything other than switch on and off the IR controlled device. Pointless!
I recently moved one of my plugs to another area, now it's saying it can't connect because it only 2.4 wi-fi. I only have 5 g. I have two other plugs I never moved, they are working on the same wi-fi.
Tried to set up a DIY IR remote. Spent ages programming each button. As soon as I hit save the configuration disappeared. 40 bucks and hours of my time wasted
Every time I try to add a device it crashes.This app is trash you cant even be in the app for a minute before it crashes.
Go use the Smart Life app not Smart Life Plus. It connects with the same devices and works with Google Assistant.
no update since sept 2018. after installing everything, it simply forgets my items and back to square 1. Taking my device smart IR back to Jaycar electronics for a refund
Help. Everytime I try to add a device it stops. So can't add devices.

Attempted to download 3 different versions of the Smart Life app. All of them failed to download stating my phone did not have enough storage. Phone has 14.56 GB available and apps are about 40 MB. Pretty damn strange. Unable to try again since the app shows as installed and will not see any other of my Alexa devices to download to. Thoroughly frustrating at best. Alexa will not "find" my smart plugs without the damn Smart Life app installed.
