Smart Messages for SMS, MMS and RCS

It's ok. I'm currently paying for the subscription, but won't renew it. The customization isn't the best. Should be able to change the background on the contact list/main message page. Should be able to control the transparency of the text bubbles. Should be able to change the design of the text bubbles. - I basically downloaded it simply for the customization, but im disappointed. I will end up deleting it after my subscription is over.

Really good app overall but it faces some technical issues. For some reason it flickers my mobile data on and off whenever it is open, drains the battery and eventually causes my phone to restart. I'd still give it a try, because if this doesn't occur on your phone it's an excellent app with great customization. The ads are also unobtrusive, unlike other apps which will play fullscreen unskippable ads.

This is the BEST app for MMS messaging. I purchased a subscription to this app, which I never do, because the free version works so well. I constantly had trouble sending and receiving MMS messages with all other apps and my text system that was pre-installed on my phone. Zero issues with this app. It's a game changer for anyone who utilizes MMS messaging frequently. And, well worth $.99/month, if you choose to go the subscription route. If not, the free version is great as well.

I like all the features/customization... However, I miss having a search feature, and the option to see only the media in each conversation. I'm trying to weigh which options I'd rather have... If you add the search and media buttons, I will give it 5 stars. EDIT: After updating, the search button was there, so I added a star (It would be nice to be able to search within one message, but it's there!). Thank you for the reply. Love this messaging app 😊 I haven't had any issues with this app, but my service provider seem to believe it's not compatible; I get messages, and I'm able to send them fine with or without a wifi connection. There's some ads that show on top, but overall a excellent app. I recommend it 👍😊 I haven't had it for a long time; if anything changes I'll update.

I purchased the ad removal subscription because I like this app. However there are a few things I would like to see changed or added. The first thing I wanna see changed, is when using the light theme, the navigation bar in the conversation list stays black. It changes to light when in the conversation, so this should be an easy fix. The next thing I would like to see added, would be different bubble shapes, and better font size control.

Constantly freezing and crashing. I have checked for and installed updates. I have uninstalled and re installed the app. The ads are annoying. It's not very customizable. The one and only reason I downloaded this app was because it supports group texts of more than ten people, which I need for work. But I'm lucky if I get through a few words before it freezes and or crashes.

What I don't like: I just wish that the pop-up messages were bubbles and I wish that when you touch a quick reply, that it would just send the message instead of having to hit the enter key as well; Would be faster. They need to add more option for quick reply. Other than that, this app is great. You do need to get others to download and use the app kinda like Android Messages. This app does have more customization.

The app is an amazing app to use! I LOVE it. However, it does have its flaws. Main ones being pictures does not send in the same clarity it was taken in and duplicate messages can occur. I re-edited this from 3 to 4 stars. It's getting better. Keep at it app developers. I'd honestly pay for the app if it was perfect.

It's decent when it works. Occasionally, messages will not send. Turning my phone off and then back on is the only way to get them to send. I emailed the developers and they suggested for me to do just that. If a developers solution to fixing their app is to turn off your phone, there are obvious issues. At First I thought it was my phone, but my Samsung app does not do this. If this isn't addressed then it's not worth the download and Def not worth the 10 dollars I spent for Ad free.

I like the features of this application, GUI wise yet I find it too slow in response time. It jitters and takes a few milliseconds more time to open and display messages compared to other similar applications. Plus it's heavy too in terms of size compared with others as well. If the jittery and the issue of response time is fixed then for me it's a very great SMS application.

Works okay so far. Not real cool with the adds, and when clicking on the app out sometimes takes awhile to load. Share buttons are a tad inconvenient, and when sharing from outside source to text, the keypad always hides the selections- don't like that. Also, will not let me change the background. Just gives a message that it's loading- but it never does. There pros are, the dark mode is great. Bubble colors are real good, font and text size is excellent. Overall I like it and will continue.

This seems like a great messaging app. Has a little bit of ALMOST everything. Love the features but it's missing one that is really keeping me on the fence about making this my default texting app. Having a way to view all media sent within a conversation would make this perfect. Hopefully that is something the developers plan to add.

I really like this app. My only complaint is that you can't change the color of the main screen where you see all your texts. Maybe I am missing something because I did find where u change the bubble & the color & pic on the messaging screen but can't find it to change the main screen. If there is a way please let me know or if possible please add it.

This app is perfect so far except for two minor concerns of which I did contact the company. I asked if they could come up with a way to remove the ads. I also inquired whether or not there was a solution to turning off the suggested smart replies. Awaiting their response. On my Galaxy S8 phone, using the messaging app with which it came, too often photos would fail to send. With this messaging app photos send beautifully and most often are sent immediately.

I downloaded this app for temporary use because Signal doesn't have a scheduling option for texts. I wanted to surprise a friend of mine with hourly pictures of different things representing his last name on his bday but my schedule is crazy so I came up with the idea of doing it before. This is where Smart Messages came through for me. I was able to schedule and send what I needed with little error (any error was on my part and not the app's) and he was pleasantly surprised. So that was good.

Working great so far, haven't tried all the features yet tho. Two things I would suggest are to be able to change the message list background to a picture like you can for the chats & change the avatar picture on the messages list to a custom picture for all unknown numbers who don't have a contacts photo set, if I could do that if would def rate 5 stars. Keep up the good work & thanks for a customizable messaging app with scheduled sending.

It seemed like a great app, but as time went by I found more and more problems. MMS is not handled correctly. My group of recipients never received a sinless attached photo. Many MMS messages received couldn't be displayed ("Sorry, problem ...). I have no idea if "spam" list or "block sender" really work. No info in app about these.

I loved this app at first (mostly for customization), but after having it for a year I'm ready to get rid of it! There are SO MANY BUGS now, due to it NEVER being updated! It's sending my old messages to different people when I text them! It adds it as an additional message, without me typing anything! It's TERRIBLE! Messages won't move to the right folders. PLUS, so many messages are NOT coming through to me! WAY too many bugs!

I like that it replicates the advanced chat features of the default note messaging app that is only available to carrier locked phones, but the typing indicator does not fit in well with the style. Also docked a star for not having the option to make a one time purchase to get rid of ads. When I find another app with the same functionality that has that option, I'm switching.

Spam filtering does not work! Takes a long time to open app. Very annoying it adds ALWAYS on the top of the screen! Looking for a new app for texting SMS MMS if anybody has any apps like this that they use that work well please let me know thank you.

I downloaded this app and I'm really enjoying how fast it worked ,even with messaging and sending pictures. the only gripe that I have so far is that when I want to forward something, to a chat room it doesn't show the chat .I actually have to put in the number each time, and the name that's kind of frustrating, but besides that I'm really enjoying this app . if they can fix that situation where if I want to forward a picture and just instantly go to the group chat ,that would be great.

I like everything about Smart messages, but, one thing I don't like is the fact that I marked a message as spam and it would not move over to the spam folder. I do not know if there is a limit to how many messages can be marked as spam (should be no limit) or if it's just a bug. Also, I have blocked some messages but they still come through. I just updated the app today, and I'm still experiencing these problems after the update.

Only just downloaded and so far so good. Been using a different app for years but due ongoing issues have led me here. Not an issue with this app but wish it also had- 1. Customisable led flash colour, this way if my phone is on silent for a meeting etc I can set a different colour from other apps and know its an sms. 2. A delay send option, sometimes a few seconds after pressing send, I notice how bad my spelling is and can stop the msg with a delay to fix.

It's an okay app. Not great, not horrible. I have been using several months now & my biggest issue is the 'PIN' option. You can PIN your favorite/ frequently contacted contacts to the top of the app. However my contacts are constantly being un-pinned and fall into older messaging chats where I have to go scrolling through to find the thread to continue texting. It seems to be about every 15-20 messages sent in a thread causes it to unpin. Help. Glad to read no more forced updates. We'll see.

I've had an iPhone for the past 7 years and definitely got used to the iMessage aspect. I still can't see when people read the conversations or when they're replying back in real time but I am incredibly happy that my texts don't get segmented off when texting people on iPhones. Until Android users automatically have one RCS stock app this one definitely takes my vote. Please let me buy it to eliminate the ads; I would love to show more support!

My complaints for now is no customization for the icon of each contact notification, can't swipe to delete/call conversations like Textra, and when you reopen the app, it doesn't scroll to the top of the conversation lists... Also when clicking on a text, I'd love for it to let me see more info about it... As in, was it sent as SMS or MMS, the date/time it was sent/received, etc. Refer to Textra for that functionality...
