Just exploring this app. So far when I scanned a pill belonging to one of my family members to be identified, it didn't provide me with accurate information of the pill. After the scan was complete, it gave me 3 possible matches that did not match the pill I scanned.
Could not identify the prescription and over-the-counter pills I tested with, even making sure imprint was visible. There should be some camera controls beyond zoom+flash, such as cropping, selecting macro lens for pill closeups. It's an ambitious app and a good idea; the image recognition just doesn't work very well. Even with manual entry of the imprint, couldn't find the known meds I was testing with. Better off using other apps for this function.
App doesn't work at all would constantly come up with different numbers of matches to the same picture retaken and results looked nothing like the picture of medicine scanned
This app seems like a good idea in principle, but in reality upon testing the app it failed to identify any of the prescription drugs I took a picture of and is difficult to use in low light conditions as there is no option to enable flash when taking a picture. If the app was more accurate it's definitely something I'd use on a regular basis. Would be nice to see a feature that allows users to upload pictures of known pills to help improve the accuracy of the AI.
It sucks, it won't let you select image it won't upload and if you take a pic of it it is way off
When you go to gallery to choose a photo it doesn't actually let you select an image. Then if you take the photo manually it will return saying no match. The homepage has a menu you can choose the shape and size and then some medications will show up in the menu.
No flash support. Won't let me import image for some reason. There's a pop up that moves way too fast to even see. Might be an error message. Will try app again tomorrow in daytime and update review. 2 stars cause giving benefit of the doubt since I haven't fully tried app.
Automatically scans and takes pic of pill and auto focuses instantly without having to manually hold or focus it. Information is emmediate and instant. I like this app. It is clear ly a pro rated app.
Took picture of a pill. The app searched, and searched, and searched, and searched, and searched, etc... Zzzzzzzz... Finally decided to hit the back button in an attempt to close the app, only to have it freeze up. - Uninstalled!
evening pills, could not even identify Lithium. Sorry can not recommend.
furthermore...I just tried yet again to capture an image of a pill....IMPOSSIBLE as the app has no auto focus lock, its almost 100% necessary....that 4 different pills without any success. Seriously....what are you trying to do, build a library based on users camera shots?? That seriously won't work in a million years, you don't have the image recognition back end and that is obvious. Your app could NOT recognize one of the most popular drugs ever. Amlodipine 10 Bunk app...wasted my time.
App took pic. Results inaccurate. Second attempt to retake picture app stopped and had to be restarted multiple times which failed to open.
Poor app. Tablet picture was clear. With clear lettering. It found nothing in the slightest bit similar to the tablet. Then sent a bunch of adds on where to buy them online. Uninstalled.
Does a great job of reading and identifying pills. It seems for some pills the database is too small. Could be improved by giving the pill uses and brand names. I like the app.
totally unreliable. Just has test ran three of our household Scripts it identified one as digoxin which was totally completely off could not identify the other two. do not waste your time
I'm sorry but this app takes way to long. I mean to be fair, I may be an inpatient person, but it still hadn't analysed my picture after 5 minutes, to me thats to long.
I actually feel so much bethere scanning a pill and getting an accurate information on the meds I scan!!!! Live this app so helpful
Having trouble with getting a specific match
Cant find my pills despite clear photos ...upside down, right side up, no matter....after clicking on ANYTHING, this app asks you to rate it...so rated it because I'm annoyed now
Can not focus to take picture no matter how far or how close you get, and no flash; is there a way to type the description?
Unfortunately I can't put a zero Stars. Just a complete waste of time.
It was easy to use and i understood what was saying and what meds it was
One star for not being able to identify a little round pill with the only imprint is a capital L it is tan / pink and when I try to manually put it in where it says to put imprint I put the capital letter L and it says imprint required like I didn't type anything in and with a picture too
What's a good app to see if you want to check out medications that you're not sure of that and it's also good apt for getting Medical Care if you need medical care
Not even close. App couldn't get my camera to focus so I imported a photo taken with camera app. Still couldn't identify the commonly prescribed pill...
Very good app it works how it's supposed to I like it alot have not had no bad experience with the pill identifier app yet thanks for this helpful app guys....
Love the camera to help identify medication. It's very helpful!
Well so far its spot on and easy to use, thumbs up.
Can I give a zero star? Didn't even come close to right pill from picture or even through a normal search in which I gave specific description of color, shape, and imprint. In fact it didn't even come up with any results for that color in a capsule form at all.
So far I've just opened the app and tried a Auto Scan and it worked but no information was available. But then I did a non Auto scan and didn't bring anything up but I think that is user fault not the app. I'll Tev
