Outstanding! I didn't think I would ever pay for a wifi smart remote. The addition to wear os, the widget, and the ability to control every Samsung TV in my house.. sold me Only thing it could use is a voice input on the wear os app and the addition of a keyboard button. Even without those additions, it's still an excellent remote.
having functions like mute hidden behind a surprisingly expensive pay wall seems an odd choice. otherwise I just think it's cool I can control my TV with my watch 🤷 Edit: I decided, hell why not, ill pay extra for full functionality and now it says tv not supported by app.
Stops working all the time. I have to keep syncing it to my TV every 2 or 3 days. Was working fine until my subscription kicked in and then it stopped. When it is connected, it works great, but having to redo it every 2 days is a massive pain.
Never have I been more unimpressed with the use of ads/money grabbing. I've already bought the Samsung TV, why must I now have to click past ads that show over the top of the remote? If I could return the TV so I don't have to use this POS remote control app then I would.
It was a great app when I got it a year or so ago and I thought I paid for the full version but now it seems there's a subscription. As of about 2 months ago my TV keeps prompting to permit this app whenever I try to use it rendering it completely useless.
Confused as to the purpose of a remote controller app if you have to hit approve with the other app on the TV everytime you use it...? The whole point is to have a 2nd control via my phone app when I can't find the other remote. See the issue here?
I have a smart Samsung TV, and the app recognizes it, but when it tells me to accept the prompt on the television there's never anything to accept. The TV isn't popping anything up. Happy to change this to five stars as soon as someone can help.
Works for one button press, then nada. But hey, after you hit that one button it is glad to tell you that you can buy a license to remove the ads! Maybe make the app work first before demanding money.
Unreasonable amount of ads for an app that's a TV remote. Press two buttons and it's not just an ad but a three stage ad that opens other apps. Would not recommend whatsoever
Subscription fee for a remote app?! I got this app so I could use my watch to change channels, apps etc... but you need a monthly subscription to use anything other than volume and power! Plus on my phone you can't do much more either. I have a Samsung TV that you can use "Smart things" app for FREE that does the same thing! Who in there right mind would pay a monthly or yearly fee for a remote app IS BEOUND ME!
Been using this app for long, I appreciate the developer and thank you for providing a simpler way to control the TV, as well. I have purchased the full Premium version. This app is functional, however sometimes this couldn't detect the TV and isn't able to turn it on or just reducing the volume. Love the user interface by the way, simple and friendly in a modern style.
Be honest! It's basically paid app! Free version is useless. Even basic functions are not available and with so excessive ads it wasn't usable. So don't waste your time if you're looking for free app. Punchline is that the premium version is useless because can't turn my TV on and track pad is more like just arrow keys. Asked for review, now you got it!
Doesn't function unless you have the original remote to the device for the first time set up, which makes it a moot point. The when purpose of downloading an app that functions as a remote control (to almost anything) is almost unilaterally, to use in the event that you either do not have a remote to begin with, or you have a non functioning remote control. If I had the remote to the TV, I wouldn't download yet another useless app that I would end up deleting in a couple of days to save battery!
I have both a Samsung phone and a Samsung TV. The ads are annoying. I don't see the point in paying for the premium app for free apps I already have on my TV and have access to. The remote app doesn't even work anymore and my actual remote no longer works either. It says its connected but nothing happens. Not worth my time anymore. Fix it, or provide a simple app that actually works.
Are you kidding! I am using this app because I lost the remote. How can I select "allow" without being able to use the app to make the selection? It let me control it long enough to turn on the tv and select a YouTube video. Now I'm stuck with my TV on playing video after video with no ability to select "allow" on my TV. I can't turn it off.
Every time I connect to my TV, it requires me to use my actual remote to accept the connection, rendering the app useless. Figured maybe if I spent the $10 it would stop, thinking maybe it was just a limitation of the free version. NOPE. Can't even request a refund, so I'm out $10 for an app that doesn't work as intended.
Looks nice, connected easily, but controlled nothing. Can't really call it a remote control if it doesn't control anything.
Got the premium app. Worked for a few minutes. When I turned the tv off, it wouldnt turn back on (no big deal). Once I turned the tv back on the tv wont let the app have permission no matter how many time I approve it. I tried another remote app and it worked fine. Cant figure out how to get a refund. Hopefully the dev's get back to me quickly. Will change review if problem is corrected.
Using it on a Samsung 4k 55 inch TV. App paired with the TV eventually after 3rd try but had to be on the same wifi network. Buttons work has accordingly. Slight delay on the button to TV communication but something you can live with. The bad part is it now and then disconnects on its own. But could be a network issue has well. Overall. The app does work well.
Summary: Nice & Clean. Feature Request: Type into TV Improve: Help It's a clean design. Easy navigation. I'd like a message when I long press a button, to tell what they do. Most buttons are self explanatory but there are a some I couldn't decipher. Supports almost all the controls except for a keyboard. There's no way I can use it to type into my TV, which is a pain and a major set down for me. I believe even the premium version doesn't have type capabilities.
Absolute rubbish. I got this to make it easier than using the remote and it borderline doesn't even work. Sometimes it just completely stops working, I paid for premium and I see NONE of the features except for ads gone I don't even see the TouchPad or apps, and I got this mainly because its a pain to type in things on YouTube with the remote and the keyboard feature doesn't work at all. REFUND
I always have to remove the disconnect and reconnect the TV it's assigned to. It works, but not if you leave the house and come back and try to use the app.
Paid full purchase price for the app but got billed a monthly subscription fee later on. I feel I've been ripped off and cheated.
I hate this stuff app it's just broken and I'm tried it like more than maybe a 1000 times And it breaks and breaks and breaks so I'm just tired of having to deal with the same app so that's the last time I will I will be using it in the distance last time I will be leaving a review so good bye and see you later never🤬 %
Welp, this app is good. We have a Samsung TV Series 6 (i think?) and the remote stopped working after a million tries fixing it. The only thing that i find kinda weird are the arrows pointing in each direction and the OK button in the middle. All i see now after a few months is a big rounded square. I found out how to control the TV anyway, which is swiping and tapping (works for me) So for it's looks and how it works, i added 2 stars and another 2 stars. Very good app overall. Nice job, OK app.
Dude, 24 dollars for an app that is free using Smartthings app? Don't waste your time with this app, use Smartthings it's also compatible with Wear OS.
App used to work for primitive functions (volume & power), but doesn't even work for that even more. Absolute garbage app!
Installed the app. It asked to connect to my TV, with a permission window appearing on my TV. Granted permission. Window on the TV disappeared but permission window on my phone remained. Nothing other than that, regardless of how long I wait. Newer Samsung smart TV that other apps have no issue connecting to. Too bad. The app looked promising. Deleted.
This app is total trash. If you want to actually contril your tv you have to pay money. Would not recommend.
This remote app used to work well for my Samsung TV. It also served as a backup remote for controlling my Amazon Fire TV cube . Unfortunately, after Samsungs recent UI update ( version 4.1) this app is now completely useless. I open the app and I see my TV, but nothing happens when I push the buttons. I have uninstalled and re-installed the app 5 times and still no progress. This is unfortunate as I paid for the lifetime version. This needs to be resolved soon.
