Smart Screen On Off (New)

Love the app! I was missing these features. There are two minor issues for me: 1- Sometimes if I double tap to type on the keyboard or using an app, the screen goes off. It doesn't always happen, but it's a little annoying. 2- The fingerprint scanner isn't usable anylonger: "It says locked by admin". Edit: I'm using the phone just with a back cover.

So for so good. I would love it to activate any where on the lock screen with my Note 9 if you can. Double tapping home button is the only way to turn back on, but if you can make it any where on the screen, that would be cool. ***Edit*** It will not turn off when typing. I see that there is an option to leave it on while typing, but I do not have that option selected. I can type pretty fast when I want to and this app prevents fast typing.

Works okay but I am still on a quest to find a screen off/on app that works from the HALL EFFECT sensors on the phone rather than the proximity sensor. It would be great if this Smart Screen On Off (New) app could be updated to use the hall-effect sensors as an option. My cover has a cut-out for the ear speaker, front camera and sensors so I have to tape a piece of black paper over the sensor portion of the opening to allow this app to work properly. This also means that front-facing camera is not usable with the cover closed.

Seems to do what it says, but every single action in the app itself comes with an ad, some of which you cannot skip. When this prevents you from even reaching the deactivate button, instant uninstall. (Yes, I used the function in the app, but I had to sit through three intrusive ads before I could use it.) In my opinion, if you want to improve this app, drop the ads and instead give your users a better incentive to buy the Pro version other than just getting rid of the ads.

I just used one week, so far it works! Just as the developer described: turn on the 'double tap button'. When you wake up every morning, the cell phone itself need to be woke up too! Just click open their app, doing nothing, exit the app, then double tap on the home screen, the screen will sleep. Close the cover, then open to wake it up. For the rest of the day it works, so far so good! About Ads? No free lunch in this world! I am OK with it as long as they are not too much. Thanks! ☺

Everything is running fine except one thing that I noticed. If you are using non cover mode. And turned on the swipe proximity sensor to turn on. After locking the screen off, if you place ur hand or anything on proximity sensor the screen keeps turning on and off. Like it's been on a loop. Please fix this!! Your apps are great!!!! And Sir please can You add some wallpaper options. Pleeeeeaaaaaaseee!!!!!!

Update: to me it works well now. Very well done. This is the only app i found that works semi-consistently. Proximity does not always work. I figured that you have to always open the app check to see if its on or off. Check also from notifications. Otherwise it will just stop working. Options are not clear, and even with permissions given it does not operate properly. All in all, it should tie you over until you fix your broken power button.

This does exactly what I wanted my phone to do! I have a cover case, so having the phone turn off when it's closed and turn on when you open it is very convenient. Especially when you have soft keys (galaxy A8) I haven't had the app for long, but so far it's working great and seems essential for this kind of phone.

The app works as it should. When you open the flip cover, it just opens and it helps you to save your power key. hope that this minimum feature is the need of all modern smart phones, where there is no feature on overlay over other apps or it has been disabled by default. The authors thinking on users annoyance with screen off and frequent pressing of power button needs special mention

The app works great however there are a few bugs which prevent me from keeping the app installed. The screen off timeout feature no longer works on my galaxy note 8 and when I unlock the phone while using the iOS 13 lock screen then open recent apps go into that and double table the phone then locks. If these issues are fixed I'll happily install again! Keep up the good work!

I love the app but there are certain problems that I'm hoping you can solve for me. First, let me say that I'm running an a Samsung Note 10+ with Android 9. Holding the phone upside down always works. Floating Popup always works. Double Tap works sometimes and not others. Proximity sensors sometimes work to turn on... sometimes! Proximity sensors never works to turn off... never. Swipe thru Proximity sensors does not work 99% of the time. How do I correct these things?

Now using this app on my 3rd phone in a row.. excellent except wisy the proximity shutoff was only in complete darkness. Currently, the apps proximity turns the screen off if a finger or even a shadow temporarily passes a few inches away.. this doesn't happen often, maybe once or twice a month.. got a quick reply from the dev.. thank you for a great utility...

Just okay. I paid for the no-ads version and really wanted to love this app, but every time I'd go to voicemail, the screen would turn off and lock. I had to use the speaker in order to hear my messages, which means everyone else gets to hear them too. Likewise, when I try to put my phone in landscape mode for videos, or editing pictures, the screen goes dark and locks me out of it. It's not a proximity issue w/ my phone or the case, it's just buggy software. Wish it worked better. Uninstalled.

Very clean interface and excellent features. Better implementation than other apps that do not provide sensor delay, so this app can give you control over accidentally activating screen off when you're using the phone. Kudos to the developer. Update: having trouble on my Moto Z, Android 8.0, closing flip case doesn't work.

Update: I found the feature +1star, it is not easy accessible in the main menu and is under 'clear view' tag. On the other hand, clear view is very prone to unlock the phone when pushing the screen against the leg while putting the phone in your pocket. Is there a way to disable the touchscreen? Suggestions: 1. Add a 'open on startup' option. 2. When I lock the phone with double tap I can't unlock with fingerprint, says 'locked by admin' it is a redmagic 3. Nice app but needs a lot of polishing.

I know you want to make money from the app. However it is very annoying to have the initial set up process interrupted by ads with every second button press. The app has a lot of features but I could not learn them because the ads were so frequent and annoying that I just decided to uninstall it. Maybe give the user a day to learn the app before unleashing a barrage of ads.

I don't understand the good reviews- the app is simply bad: -it messes the fingerprint, simply does't work anymore - using the proximity sensor for unlocking the phone will randomly (but frequently) lock it back after 2 or 3 seconds. It also loops this behaviour. - contains ads is an understatement, it contains loads of ads. I'm sorry, it didn't work for me. I give 2 stars because I understand it is a lot of work you put in and it seems it works for others.

It's a very helpful app.. I love it but there's only one concern. whenever I play Mobile Legends, it turns off after like 3-5mins then my game becomes very lag. then I press home and start this app and get back to the game and everything becomes fine but when the sensor turns off, it happens again. I think when this app crashes, it affects the phone's system as well. it only goes off when I play Mobile Legends. hope my concern can be clarified. thank you so much :)

I really liked this app at first but then it started having issues. Sometimes, it just stops working. Especially after turning off my battery saver mode. I had to go back to the app and restart it for the double tap to work again. I had to uninstall it because at one point it stopped working, and force closing the app didn't do the trick. And for it to work, it wants me to use a default wallpaper that's only half of my screen. I am using a Xiaomi phone but not on an MIUI platform. This is an A2 Lite/Redmi 6 Pro which is an Android One phone. So I don't understand why you want me to use the default wallpaper because of the "MIUI update". I'm ok with ads. But using a default wallpaper to get the app working as a requirement is just ridiculous.

It works on my s9+. I used to use easy smart cover but then the os updated and it stopped working. this works. hopefully it keeps working. i haven't seen an ad yet but I'll give a buck to not see one if it happens. Edit 10/19. Doesn't work and nothing but ads over and over and over! Uninstalled.

The ad is annoying. It went well at first, but after unuse my phone for a few hours, the app does not respond. I will need to restart my phone to make the app works again. I like the floating dot to turn off the screen. However, it can only be located at the edge of the phone, in which it is easily to touch it when using other apps. I would prefer there is a widget, though here is one but not able to use.

For some reason the app does not work properly if you tryil out the other locking options or after using other apps or games for a prolonged time. I was stoked that you can lock the screen by flipping the phone (pocket optimization) but half the time it wouldn't function right unless I restart my phone as killing the app does nothing to resolve the issue. I suggest the devs that the screen turns black (similar to taking calls) instead of locking.

I have a Samsung note FE and the only genuine case I can find is for a note7. However the smart wake and sleep function wont work with the note 7 covers (extremely frustrating) this app has made the cover work correctly with the auto wake and sleep function. My only very minor issue is the always on display dims down after a few seconds so doesn't show through the cover as it use to with the original cover. If the dimming of always on could be disabled it would be fantastic. Great app! Jim.

It doesn't work properly as I turned off my mobile with double tapping and in the next moment when I wanted to open my mobile with finger print it always said , unlock your mobile with pattern even face recognition stopped working , fix this issue otherwise your app is awesome 👍 keep it up. .... Updated review: still same issue but liked the app so much!!

Up date. Can not edit my previous review. Can not find it. No problemo! That said, this is an Uber App primarily due to the fact that I wore out two previous Androids because of power button fatigue. This application removes mechanical physical speed bumps off the chart. No more power button failures! THANK YOU!😎

if an ad happens to be displayed and you swiped the screen off, your phone is not locked when you think it is. Screen displays the clock but anyone can swipe without password or fingerprint to access where you left off. DANGEROUS. Ad is OK with free apps but please be considerate when you write an app. You are making the phone insecure by prioritizing ads. Uninstalled. many alternatives out there.

Well, it looked like the perfect app for me. But I will uninstall it because the exception list thing is working randomly. I can't ever use the phone in landscape without triggering the sensor. And although I put some apps in the exception list, for some reason it's not working.

I appreciate ad support, but ads came at me with every swipe. The permission level they want is pretty high, and after I gave it permissions it started warning to open other applications like Google pay and another Google service that I forget which it was. This is really odd behavior after asking for high level permission. There's also a weird work around for uninstall, which they do describe when you first load the app. I could have let that go if not for the other things.

Got this one to work finally. Not sure how, I did all permissions when asked, even double tap. Even went in accessibility to installed apps, but free it enables, in pro still need to go in manually. But not sure what I did, I minimized, did some searching, brought app back up and then float and double tapped both worked. But ya, love to have ad free pro version back. Thanks Dev.

Installed the app on a OnePlus 7 to switch the screen off with my flip cover. App doesn't work. Useless. During the setup process I had to watch about 10-15 ads. Annoying. By using the apps switch off button, it also turned off face recognition and fingerprint authentication. Stupid. Useless and annoying and stupid, that's this app. *update* before uninstalling the app, and while writing this review, 3 ads popped up, and I was asked to grant administrator permission. Dangerous.
