Smart Shopping List - Listonic

For years we have been using Out of Milk Pro, but with its sale, it's no longer available in Europe. Listonic is a good replacement. I like that the screen stays lit while being consulted, as I shop wearing disposable gloves (covid precautions). It’s also nice to see a list of shopping lists, though there doesn't seem to be a handy way of moving items between them. For example, if I can't find something on the Supermarket list, I would want to move it to the Internet list without retyping.

Absolutely hate it, but it is a list program. 1. I have numerous lists which use to work brilliantly, when they were Google Lists, but with this new software, it often chooses the last list opened instead of the one I select, many times in a row. 2. I can't edit/delete/accept some lines because I can't place them in a position where they are not covered by my keyboard. Many other issues, no space to elaborate. I now print off the lists and use those instead of my mobile phone. Not happy!

It would be nice if added items could be auto capitalized (OurGroceries has 3 capitalization options in settings). Categories should have the option of being displayed as words, not just emojis. The biggest deal breaker, as with many shopping apps, is that although you can create a custom order for categories/aisles, you can only create one. So if you keep lists for different stores, not all your lists will be ordered for convenience. Other than that, the app is quite nice and simple to use.

Updated review: Terrible support (I checked spam!), twice they tell me to contact them, twice ignored. Last update broke the app in my phone (again). It crashes right after opening it, every time, so can't do anything. I have all my lists there, and now I can't access them. I have Android 9. When it happened a while ago, I contacted support as suggested, but no reply... Managed to fixed it uninstalling and reinstalling. Now that's not working. And Google Play Protect says this app is harmful?

Dropping 2 stars from my review as lately the ads have started to cover the last item on the list and the button to add more items. User is now forced to open ads just to reveal the last item/add button. To top it all, the app claims that I have premium version with no ads although ads are still there. I can't upgrade to premium as it thinks that I already have an ad-free premium version... I don't even know anymore whether I actually have already upgraded to premium at some point or not 🤣

I love the multiple lists, the sharing with family members, and the fact that you can get rid of ads with pro. Some of the animations are a bit long, like when I'm checking items off the list I have to wait for one to disappear before crossing off the next thing. I like the custom aisles. Seems to be pretty stable and doesn't require weird permissions.

It's great! The wife and I have been using the app for over 2 years, I believe and it really does what it's supposed to do, updates to lists from one party can instantly be seen by the other one. Even the free version is more than acceptable, as long as you're ok with some ads. Highly recommend supporting the developer and buying the full version if you can, though.

Handy way to create a shopping list for a variety of shops without using pen and paper. You can enter prices, quantities and notes against each item. Tick off grocery items as you take them from the shelves and you can see how much you have spent and how much is left to spend. Absolutely love this application because it makes my shopping so easy.

The newest update brought a very nice interface and amazing new features. Now it's much easier to ordering list and understand and manage categories. But the nicest feature for me is the list sharing, with (for me) worked flawless. It works really well for us in my house, as we are getting notice of the needed products through the week and adding to the list and in the end of week anyone that goes to the market can access the list. So good that I also recommended to my parents :)

Love it 😊 . I don't have to carry post it's or a piece of paper with my shopping list. Now I can keep my list on my phone. I love the ease of creating lists for the different places I shop and just tick off each item as I go. If I need to add an item again, I just go back in to the completed list and tick it again to add it. It's simple to use and very helpful when shopping. Kudos to the developers.

Honestly, some of the ads are a bit aggressive and annoying, often popping up right where I wanted to tap something else. But once I bought premium, everything was great! I don't know if there is a better way to incorporate the ads, tbh, but I still have to remove a star for the intrusiveness and the way they load in areas you're likely to be touching a lot.

I have used this app for a few years now. For the most part I like it, I like how it can be shared. What gets frustrating is you have to scroll to find items on the list which get daunting with big lists, needs to be a search function. I am also running into an issue with different items on my list being different font size. It's wired, some will be normal fonts and others will be small. Closing and reopening helps sometimes but not always. I have tried uninstall and reinstall but didn't change.

(Edit) after the last update, the app no longer works. It gets stuck on the loading screen and becomes unusable. A pity, but I well need to find an alternative. (Edit) Happy with the app so far, the options for multiple list and adding prices to each item to estimate your bill are very useful. The app also recognises a wide variety of supermarket items. I need to look more into language options

Just recently downloaded this app. Nice and easy to use to make shopping lists etc, and a list of pre-installed items, but can custom add items to personalize it. You can either leave the list as you add items, but I like how you can choose to sort it alphabetically, so you can easily see what you may have missed, and then just check it off as you place items in your basket/cart and it automatically takes it from the main list. Looked at quite a few other apps, and felt this came top...

Really like this app. Super convenient for grocery shopping, simple task lists etc. and being able to share them with others. Only issue I have with it is when you lose cell coverage or wifi access.... sometimes it just stops working until it regains a connection. Not great when grocery shopping and it happens since you can no longer scroll through your list or check things off. This app should function without a connection to the internet; hopefully that is fixed at some point.

This is a great grocery list shopping app. It's easy to use and lets you give a picture to each item making spotting them in your list easy. I have 2 issues with the app preventing me from giving 5 stars. 1. You can't uncheck all items in a list with a single button press. You can delete all checked items but can't just uncheck all. 2. When manually rearrange items in the list, the image is replaced with the arrangement button. You can't have a custom list order and see images simultaneously.

Update: The watch companion app no longer works. You can only start a new list on it; you can't get into your saved lists. I still like the phone app, but I got them to use together, so it's only halfway useful now. I love that this has a companion app for my watch! It is easy to use. You can use your voice to add items. It updates your list on all your devices. You can put the prices in if you know them. I also like that your items don't go away when you check them off.

I used this app with another family member for a long time, but lately it's been doing strange things like adding items we didn't search for and changing the font size randomly through out the list. Most importantly, it has not been updating the list between users, even if we refresh manually. This has led to critical items not being purchased on shopping day. If not fixed, we'll have to uninstall and go with another app. I came close to purchasing premium. I'm glad I waited.

I'm editing this review because of the last update. Before the update I could add items to my grocery list with voice and it would automatically add the item to my list. It no longer does this. Now when I voice the item I have to tap on it to add. Sometimes it just won't add to the list. Old review -->Love it. Edit after longer use: I love that I can just stand in front of the pantry or fridge and speak into my phone to make my grocery list. Sure beats pen and paper lists.

I've used this app for years. It was great until the latest update. Now it has lost all my personal categories! Not only that, but now when I create a new category, the icon shows up in the list as a tiny speck, unlike the default categories. I want to undo this bad update! Added: Immediately after I saw the problems from this update, I emailed the support team through the app. When I didn't hear back after several days, I posted here.

This is fantastic! As some someone who constantly struggles with organisation, it's brilliant to have an app that you can easily add items to your list as you think of them rather than forget about then and find yourself disappointed when you come back from the shop. I love the voice input feature, makes life so much easier. The flexibility of the features make it so easy and quick to mark things as bought or to be brought again.

Works Great on my Samsung A02 Many items already listed. Easy to add special items. Haven't tried the weekly ads option. Updated March 17, 2022.... It appears that Listonic was updated within the last week. Now I cannot move items in the list. I need this feature to match my usual travel within the large store. Before, I could drag and drop. EDIT: The deveopers did it! Changing my review from 3 to 5 stars! I've tried several apps and this one is definitely the one that fits my needs. It could've been 5 stars, but it's super annoying that we don't have a simple search tool to look for the items and uncheck them. Instead I have to scrool and manually look for the item. If I try to add an item with the same name I will create a duplicate item. Again, really annoying that this simple feature is missing.
