Apparently my season ticket expires in 2024. And my station is 'Unknown'. I'm not surprised. As the app was recommended by Greater Anglia, I wasn't expecting much.
Doesn't seem to be well set up to read STNR smart cards and tickets to provide good user information. Struggles interpreting NLC codes for train stations as well as OIDs used in the STNR scheme and product types.
Useful for me to see what tickets I have loaded onto my smartcard. Works on all ITSO based cards e.g. Nexus metro, Greater Anglia, etc.
Really fun for sneaking a peek at the information stored on your ticket! Useful too.
Says unknown code for station names. Until this is resolved it's one star from me.

New version of this reads itso cards from Southern Railway and Brighton & Hove buses.

Works great for my purposes, thanks. Other reviewers please note that this app is for reading ITSO smartcards (usually have an ITSO logo on the back), it will therefore not work with the London Oystercard as that has a Desfire chip (hence the 'D in a square box logo’ on the back) instead. This app will however work with The Key from Govia Thameslink railway (Southern, Gatwick Express, Thameslink, and Great Northern), the London Freedompass, and should also work with most ENCTS passes since they all have an ITSO chip in them. But you cannot expect much if any ticketing information on your card. For TfL services, the official Oyster app is pretty good.
What a completely hopeless useless application. I expected the application to actually show me something useful, instead it couldn't show me my season ticket information, or even when it started our expired. What a waste of bloody time
It's decided to stop working and no longer reads my Robin Hood card. Making it completely useless. If it's not reading my balance, it has no business taking up space on my phone. Deleted.
Works with Greater Anglia smart season ticket. Handy for finding ticket details when completing delay repay.
Brilliant! Finally I can see what is on my Scotrail smart card without going online. This technology should be built into Scotrail's own app!
Scotrail should purchase this from the developer and incorporate it in to there app or website wrapper....

Doesn't show date actual purchased ticket expires only date the smart card itself expires therefore USELESS.
Doesn't indicate when ticket expires, only when smartcard expires so no nearer getting any useful info
I havent tried it yet but I says that my card wont Expire until 2021

Works very well with Arriva's 'The Key' system in the UK. Allows me to easily check any time when my season ticket for the train is due to expire.

good app however would be a good feature if it could show more information on the first screen when you scan instead of having to drill down. Just the basic information like ticket class, to and from and the expiry.
