- internet access (for displaying ads and some stats collection)
- write to external storage (to store recordings)
- record audio

- write settings (for ability to set default system ringtone/notification/alarm)
- billing (for in-app option to turn off ads)

I used to love this app. I used it for years to record phone interviews. And then, it suddenly stopped working. This app was perfect; there's no other call recorder app that works nearly as well. But, without the ability to record phone calls, this app has become useless to me. Very disappointed.
This app is working great for me as a simple little way to record music ideas that come up while I practice or jam. I wish it would let me save the files to SD card instead of the phone's internal storage. If I could find an app that would, I would switch to that, but none of the ones I came across allowed it, and I gravitated to this app as easiest to use for my idea-saving purposes.
Very simple, zen application. it is not cluttered with features but what it does it does very good. From dozens of similar apps I've tried I stayed with this one. What attracted me and what I use it for are voice notes, especially in car where you can just take phone and speak your thought. App works in background, with screen turned off... and still can capture your voice while skipping silences. So there is no fiddling with phone while driving. You just take phone and speak. App will do rest.
This is awesome 👍 exactly what I needed. I have been having problems with someone. The mic picks up everything when I'm sleeping, it only records when noise is made, and it doesn't kill your battery! You just activate it and set the phone where it'll pick up noises made on purpose!
Great quality and perfect for keeping live notes while not having to miss anything or take your attention from what you would like to hear . If you miss it the smart recorder didn't . Nothing else to say. It's an easy 5 stars in my opinion. If you don't try it then you will never know what you wouldn't have missed if you had it. I recommend this app to anyone and everyone who depends on an audio recorder for any reason or just want to try on. Save your self the time. What you need is this.
