We have 4 cameras at home one is off 98% of the time turns on when it wants to I have this app on my Samsung note9 it dose not work I just deleted app and reinstalled its saying it wont work for my phone is there another app to use
Junk!!!! it worked some times 2 years ago now nothing since i got a new phone dont waist your money. until they get an update for the software its useless.
The worst app i have had. I changed my iOS device by an Android just for this and now it doesn't work even in a new generation, high level device
I hate first alert for not updating the camera app that's like spitting on u after u have bought their product I will never even buy another smoke detector or anything by first alert ever again. They basically told me oh well were not updating the app for the system anymore
Bought system and found out it's no longer supported. Why sell the system if there's no software for it. Garbage!
Do not waste your time with any smartbridge app. They are discontinuing this app. I called first alert, and that's what they told me.
If zero stars were a option that is what I would give. Have six cameras that work but app no longer does, so I am done with this company.
I have 8 first alert cameras from you guys. I spent a lot of money for these cameras and now I can't see them because the app doesn't have update. I need to know what's going on. What kind of company you are? Thieves? I need the money back

This app has a very dated feel to it. I've purchased far cheaper wifi only cameras that had better mobile apps and we're much more reliable in their connection, this app will not connect via mobile network, even with full 4G connectivity and it rarely connects even when using the same wifi network that my dvr is tied to (and I'll add that the dvr is using an ethernet cable)
This app is absolutely useless! Unless I'm connected to the wi-fi that the system is wired to it will fail connecting. And at that point you might as well look at the system itself. ....time to rethink your developer staff if that's the limit of their capabilities.
This system is a joke, although I am not laughing. The mobile app never works, either on WiFi or 4g. Been trying for over an hour to view my cameras. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Still nothing. Spent over $500 on a sixteen channel DVR for this? The system program itself looks like it was developed by some middle school students, and we are not talking about those on the honor roll.
Compared to a much older remote DVR app like NightOwl's, this app is a disaster. The feeds, using the same infrastructure as we used with the Nightowl, are much slower and very hit-or-miss. You'll have to call First Alert to discover that their whole SmartBridge system has crippling limitations like a maximum of 2 (for 16 port systems) or 3 (for 8 port systems) viewers! Trying to cleanly exit their app at best takes more than a minute of waiting, during which you can't answer or make calls, if it doesn't hang the phone itself, requiring a hard restart.
App only connects to unit(s) over a wifi connection on the same network as the box. There is no connectivity to the DVR's over the internet or even on a Wifi from a different network. This is only on the newer models, the old models that were labelled first alert and not smartbridge still work with the new app, and they still work over the 2G/3G/4G networks. Once the App is fixed to make connecting to the units over the cellular network better the reviews will be re-rated Also why is this not compatabile with the Nexus Tablet line ?
Cannot connect remotely from any device (Droid, iPhone, iPad). Have called tech support several times and they don't know what the issue is. Whole reason we purchased and set up cameras was for remote access. Waste of time and $$
It doesn't work on 4G, I have to go into my settings and manually turn off my 4G and turn on 3G to watch it if I'm away from Wifi. Half the time the Wifi doesn't work. Very poorly made app. I would suggest this app to anybody.
Not sure why so many people can't connect, seems rather coincidental they all happen to be of the "non computer" generation, although it was rather amusing reading their comments. Moving forward, I have 5 different devices ( 2 I phones and 3 Droid), none of which presented any problem several others seemed to have. The only downfall I have discovered is the delay in time when viewing from my phone. Should only be mere seconds off from live time, not minutes.
This is the first time I've ever felt the need to write an app review. I have a Note 5. Never let me remote view. Not even once. One of the top reasons I bought this device. Device works and records as it should but as far as this app... complete garbage. I wish I could scream from the rooftop and let everyone know that if this is the reason they are considering purchasing this device that they should save their money. Taking mine back and will not recommend to anyone. Update this app!!!
Does not work for my First Alert SmartBridge system either. Called tech support. They pointed me to another web site and basically said if it's not there, it's no longer available. I can't believe they no longer have the software for my system! Since when does a good company delete their support software and leave their customers (probably former, that is) with a hardware system that is still capable of working fine but doesn't do any good without the externally installed software?!? Platforms get upgraded all the time. You've got to be backward compatible for crying out loud! Looks like there are plenty of other people in the same boat. Thanks First Alert. I thought buying what I thought was a good name brand that I'd be taken care of for a while. NOT!
