The green "make a donation" button is confusing. I would expect such a huge button in the middle of the screen to be for example "confirm the payment" especially because i go to billing section specifically to pay my bill. And meanwhile "pay now" button is tiny and hiding. That is misleading. Please make it proper.
Always an issue if I need to update the card info. Now the issue is the expiration date..again... the app will not all you to enter the full expiration date. It is only allowing the year so.of course.. card won't save due to the error
Ridiculous app. Many needed functions dont work amd support is least interested in solving those. Listing a few major ones below. 1. Crashes on launch of chat so can't send messages to daycare through the app. 2. Cant sign in child with the drop off information 3. Meal/Activity calender glitches making impossible to read
Tried to start using the app. There is no place to create a log in and password. I was new to the app and there is no way to sign up
Signed up through web browser. Downloaded the app and cannot log in on the app. It just spins and goes back to the log in screen.
Update: I did e-mail Smartcare and they responded with a fix within minutes. Wonderful customer service! Every time the app updates, or my phone updates the app stops working. The timeline doesn't update, the billing doesn't update and I get no notifications. I have uninstalled and re-installed, still doesn't work. I just get the "aw snap, something's wrong" pop-up at the bottom of the screen.
I wish I didn't have to try to use this app but I'm stuck. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app, I've also upgraded my phone thinking things would be better. They're not. Sign in/out almost never loads for me (solved it by asking for a keychain). Billing wasn't showing up until I contacted smart care and got a response much later. Had to resign up using a different email to "fix" being unable to see my billing. Now I'm suppose to be able to pay my bill using the app -sounds like a great concept. Don't know how it works though because my feature doesn't work. It seems like all my notifications are duplicate of when my child us checked in/out to a class. Overall, there seems to be a lot of issues with this app. Hopefully improvements are made soon.
I can't understand how anybody can make an app this bad. Do the developers even user test this? When you click on an event in your timeline and hit the back button when done viewing, it puts you all the way back to the top of the timeline. This basically makes it impossible to see anything more than a few days old. This is the whole point of this app! When you save pictures, there aren't recognized by your phone and are in some proprietary format. Those are deal-breakers for me.
Very handy for checking in and out and receiving updates during the day as needed. I feel there is capacity to make this great for parents by including portals for more information: a place to post the lunch/snack schedule so I don't have to take a picture of it to refer to everyday, or a parking place for our contracts with the center so we can check back if we have questions, notices of Christmas programs/photo days, etc... A fine app for the use, I just feel like it can be so much more. (unless these are features that our center just doesn't subscribe, then please correct me if they are available).
2nd Update: After upgrading phones I'm no longer able to access the app. It reads "there was a problem connecting to the server. Please check your internet connection and try again". I've done this several times also restarting, uninstalling the app, switching to 4G, 5G or wifi. I contacted customer service and received nothing. Update: After contacting the company they quickly responded and solved my issue. My app will not update. I have tried uninstalling and restarting but it will not update.
Android version is hit or miss, can be twitchy and unresponsive about 50% of the time.
Update 1/20/2020: still not receiving push notifications. I have emailed and just receive the same response... They are working on it, or that is not a feature (separate feed for kids). Also unable to easily chat with teachers. I do not receive push notifications. I put in a request months ago, but it has not been fixed. Additionally, users are unable to separate feed by kid. Lastly, users are unable to easily chat with teachers. Maybe incorporate a calendar that allows you to click on the day.
Time line issue fixed now. It was showing incorrect times for entries, but I contacted the support team and they created an update that fixed the problem within one week of my communication! I am so impressed with such great customer service! I just had to uninstall and then reinstall the app. I love the peace of mind I get from knowing my baby is being well cared for during the day.
This app has not worked at since installed, I can't even access the web portal
This app is consistent with its constant crashing, constant tellin me it is an error, constant not working the way it should... I just uninstalled and reinstalled it again for a better result and I'm left out to dry with the same issue. Find your issues and fix them. Thank you in advanced
I've loved this app and found it very convenient for making daycare payments. However, since the update on 12/18/19, my app only gives me an error message and won't allow me to make payments or communicate with my daycare. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, turned my phone off and on, and still error message. I sent a help ticket via email for support as well. The only response I've received is the canned thank you for your message response.
It's decent. The timeline needs some work - like the ability to clear it out, or perhaps remove messages after a week or so - archiving and categorizing them would be nice, too. Also, why no push notifications? Other than that, it meets my expectations.
This app is garbage!! I installed and tried to use but it fails and closes immediately. So I uninstall and reinstall.... Same thing!! Fix this already!! Update as of 1/15/2020... Still does not work right! Keeps saying error and will not allow me to turn on autopay. Very dissapointing app. Everyone who uses it at the Learning lamp ccomplains about it.
Good. Helpful. 2 things that need improvement. 1-writting notes to teacher should be an option apart from a pre-existing not related post. 2-I am also a teacher in the same school. I would like to blend the parent app with the teachers app. Much easier.
This app doesnt work. I get class alerts, and can view the log (which always has the wrong timestamps), thats it. Billing doesnt work and neither does the barcode (the most important feature). I dont know how they are still publishing this broken app.
Immediately upon opening it, I was asked whether I wanted to allow the app to take pictures and video. I said no, which apparently is the wrong answer. The app refused to accept no, and just kept popping up the same message. I have no idea what else the app might do well, but that was a terrible enough experience to warrant one star.
I just had to uninstall the app because it stopped working a week ago. I was getting updates but unable to see them, couldn't make my weekly payment and now not sure I'll be able to successfully log back in as I don't recall my login info. Incredibly frustrated.
I absolutely LOVE this app. I am informed what my child eats every day, if he has bowel movements, the activities they are working on and the things they learn, and so much more. I even get cute pictures of my little man when he is just goofing around and being silly. This app is definitely a must for me!
Just doesn't work. Tech support said internet connection might be too slow, then phone is too old, then nothing when tried on a newer phone. The website works but lacks functionality that is supposed to be in app that doesn't even login.
The app was working great until the middle of May. Now when I go to open the app it automatically prompts me to close the app send feedback or wait for the app to respond. I am not able to scan or check my child in and out I also cannot see my bill pay my bill or respond to any messages concerning my child please resolve and fix the app
Poor user experience overall. Most areas of the app need to be polished up, very inconsistent... sometimes it works and most times doesn't. --- now unable to send messages, when you select "chat" the app crashes.
Stopped using app 10+ months after my daughter left the school. Started using it again when my youngest was enrolled and was impressed it still had the timeline history from before. Love the ability to set frequency and which notifications I want. Only con- default card payment is automatic, have to remember to change payment type when it changes and the only way to do it is through settings.
