The app doesn't send any notifications of jobs being posted so it makes it hard to find jobs. I don't have the option to add my phone number to receive text alerts. I have to log in everytime it doesn't automatically open to the main page. Subfinder is 100 times better. I hope SFE takes some notes and improves the app.

Needs an option for a dark theme. Have to tap on each job to obtain more info. Web version has info on one screen, and you can set it up to accept biometric login if your phone has that capability. Why not add this to the app so you don't have to leave the pwd on the login screen? App does regularly continue to freeze on the "Canceled' tab, forcing me to still manually shutdown the app. I'll update the review if anything changes.

I much prefer using the app to getting calls. I love being able to manage my schedule and jobs from the app. The only improvement I would like to see is all available jobs in the "available" tab, not just those that I have been requested for.

So much better than the automated phone calls to pick up assignments. The app could use a few filter improvements but the app is easy to use and quick to access information.

this thing is a barely functional hot mess. one search every 30 seconds. jobs just don't populate for reasons beyond the human capacity for logic. very cool stuff for trying to maintain a work schedule.

The filters don't work so you have to scroll through hundreds of jobs to find the one you're looking for. Even if a teacher requests you, it won't come up unless you scroll through all of the jobs to find it. It doesn't help that you have to wait 20 seconds between each 25 results making it take forever to find what you are looking for. Looking for a job a few days out? You'll be looking for a while...

The app doesn't provide any direction how to log in. I tried district area codes, none of them were working. It doesn't allowed you to put numbers in as a pin. Quite disappointed.

Too many crashes. Filters have to be put in over and over. Do like the app otherwise.

Works great when it wants to... but sometimes it just doesn't let me log on and I end up using the browser.

It's really great thing that this app exists, don't get me wrong. It's so handy to have all the info you need for subbing - anything to mitigate all the moving parts of the sub experience. I've found that the app can be really slow to open up though, and can also be really slow when there are many jobs available which then hasn't allowed me to select them quickly, and I've missed opportunities because of that. Great app idea, but UX can be improved.

It's an okay app. There are definitely issues with the system. Lately I go on and the system has 0 jobs available. Immediately afterwards I get 3 or 4 calls for jobs. I check again and still 0 jobs listed. Then I get more calls in the morning... Not sure what the issue is but I definitely prefer being able to look at all the job locations and days on the app versus having to go through each call individually.

A marginally better experience than using the website. The sign-in process - which must be done multiple times a day due to the fact that the site automatically signs you out - is easier, since the app remembers your log in info. The push notifications are helpful, I guess, if you prefer them over email notifications. However the app crashes at startup regularly on my Samsung Note 20 ultra. Needs work. 9/14 update: fresh install still yields frequent app crashes. No change.

the login process is inconsistent - it continually comes up with an error until it doesn't. This is very frustrating. Some of the functionality is not intuitive but once you get into the app the jobs are clearly laid out. Fixing the login issue would go a long way to increasing my rating.

Disappointing app. I have been a sub for 10 years in different districts and this app is definitely taking a step back in time! Hard to feel confident accepting a job when it only gives you a range of grades. Also where are the push notifications? Probably will affect the number of jobs I end up picking up.

terrible. very slow. unresponsive at times as I wait for a page to be continually refreshed. Searching for a job on a particle date is nonfunctional.Very disappointed. The previous text based version of the Sub locator was easier to navigate and much more responsive.

This app is so incredibly frustrating. I miss Frontline. I DO NOT get notifications push or text when new jobs are posted. I am missing opportunities to work. I have set my notifications all on and I have gotten the push and text when I accept a job and a reminder, but not for any new jobs posted. I can't keep randomly logging in all day long hoping to see new jobs posted. I have checked my phone settings and the app is set to priority even for notifications. And Zero Tech support.

There is no puch notifications even when I have checked the box to recive text notifications. This makes me check every hour for new listings. I feel like I dont see all the jobs. I can not undo canceld jobs.

A few weeks ago the app was slow, but fine. Now I'm entirely unable to use the calendar because it will not load at all. I can't even see where to submit a bug report through the app. This was the only decent way to accept sub jobs, but now it's as unusable as the website.

The app is straightforward and user-friendly. The only improvement I can see is a feature found in both another district's app and my HMO's app. That is, when an appointment/job is committed to, it automatically appears in Google Calendar for Android and, I suppose, in whatever calendar app iPhone users may have.

Great app. Makes it easier to accept jobs and view assignments. But please make the app so that we can cut and paste the job number and job details. And if you can make it so that we can save it onto our Google calendar that would be super. It is vital that we are able to save the information. Thanks

This is my 1st year substituting. This app helps me stay on-track of everything that has to do with this job. I especially like that it keeps track of all jobs taken and completed, plus lets the schools know when I am not going to be available.

Simple and intuitive

App started out okay, but more often than not when I try to log in to view any possible available jobs, it times out saying "unexpected exception". Sometimes it takes several tries to finally see if a job is available, and by then it could already be taken. Definitely needs improving.

Using the app is MUCH better than getting the phone call, but you definitely need more information per job. I want to minimally know the grade in addition to the teacher, not just "general elementary." This is not helpful!

app is good once you are into it, but I wish it would remember my sign in info cause it doesn't let me sign in half the time regardless of having 2 different ways to sign in. always telling me my log in info is one time only when it's the log in info I set up. I even tried changing my log in info and testing my password. getting into the app is a pain in the butt. I always have to try a few times and then close the app and open it again, then it lets me in no problem

I was trying to put in my district code and I press the button it loaded then put me back to were I started and I tried it multiple times but still it did not work. I even try deleting it then reinstalling it but it did not work. I would of gave it better but I need this app for school. Hopefully you can fix this.

user friendly and easy

The app itself is okay, but it has several flaws. Why do I put in my locations (I sub at 2 schools), but still get jobs for all the others? Also, why does my groups keep changing from middle and high schools to all locations? It's bad enough that I get jobs for all the middle and high schools and not just the 2 that I have chosen, but to also get all the elementary as well. I also don't like the fact that it doesn't notify me when there are listings. This system could definitely be better.
