Smartfire
The Smartfire App includes:
- Status screen provides a 'single look' status of the pit and food probes
- Setup Your Pit screen enables you to dial in your desired target pit temperature, along with high and low threshold alarms and a fan override switch.
- Setup Probe screen enables you to choose your target temperatures, alarms and nick names associated with a probe. You select the meat type associated with the probe, ie 'Pork' then either swipe or tap the left/right arrows to change the selection. The options available are Beef, Pork, Chicken, Fish and Custom. For each primary meat type, there are multiple meat and doneness combinations, ie 'Steak (medium rare) - 130F' within Beef.
- Settings screen to customise your pit type, temperature scale, whether alarm sounds are on and the desired alarm sound effect.
- WiFi Setup screen to pair your phone and Smartfire Controller and provide your WiFi credentials for the Controller to use

The blower works great but the app is terrible. The fonts are too big therefore tempreture wraps around (portrait mode) the charts need a bit of work. If you inadvertently set a high temp that record is held in memory and the scales don't readjust. You should have the ability to turn off target charts. I would like to see an estimated ready time available.
Great idea, kit can work but just too unreliable. I appreciate that you can probably take the thing apart, press a few buttons, reprogram your WiFi, put you BBQ in your living room etc but if it's a pain in the **** to do what's the point of a smartfire in the first place. I hope the newer versions are better....
Little bit of a mucking around for me setting up to WiFi but a few emails with developer and bang. They were extremely helpful while setting up. Now it runs like a charm. Highly recommend
With recent changes this app is now really good. No more connectivity issues and it's always being improved. Overall a great piece of bbq hardware and now a capable app too. Highly recommended.
Cracking app accompaniment to a great piece of kit. Super user support on FB group too. That said you still need to u d esrstand the fundamentals of pit temperature management to understand how this tool helps you, don't criticise the app if you don't understand why it isn't producing results because I promise when you do the right things it's FLAWLESS
Temperature charts don't work on Android or the web app. Looks nothing like pictures. Smartfire device itself works great but the app does not.
It still continues to work like a beast. Fantastic, beautiful and so cleverly developed. Absolutely recommend to all supported bbq applications!
Amazing product and app is constantly improving. Small issue when wifi gateway IP changes and app closes but not show stopping.
Strange readings, dome temp is steady smartfire shows 60 degrees fluctuation unexplicably??. Keeps dropping out of wifi, 15feet away...
Great product great app highly recommend it and great backing and support in the Facebook group and from mark and everyone willing to help solve any issues.

Fit has been stellar. I've not had any issues, set up was simple and it's even simpler to operate. I've now have multiple overnight and complicated cooks and it has performed like a champ.
Simple yet detailed, love it. Just need to fix the graph not showing correctly for Galaxy S8
Brilliant at holding temp. On my kamado big Joe I've held 120f for easy 17 hours.
Looks like a lot of the advanced options have disappeared in the newest version of the app? Used to be able to change multiple settings from less to more but can't anymore? Not a big fan (no pin intended) of the new layout/design, it doesn't seem very intuitive. Sure I'll get used to it though. The device itself has worked very well for me in the past so hopefully it continues to do so!
