Sometimes the picture in the browser freezes, although the light is blinking as it is going live and then I hear the baby has woken up, but the screen doesn't change. Also, cannot access the app, since it says: connection rejected, try again or update. I have the updates version, uninstalled and installed it again, restarted my phone and still nothings. Browser is working fine and I can access it that way.
The app can be slow to respond. Occasionally the live view is just black with sound. Once a week reset (turn off and on again) of the cameras seems to help them respond better. But its considerably better than the sricam cameras and software I was previously using. The intercom function is hilarious to use at times... Told my son to turn the sound up on his phone and answer it via the app whilst I was at work and the look on his face was an absolute picture!! 😂
Picture & sound quality are really good, improved from the 1st Smartfrog camera that I used. Only quibble is sometimes there is a real lag with going into live view, hence r stars. My old camera used to regularly log me out of the app, which was really annoying and frustrating. time will tell of this happens with my new camera. the app could be a little more intuitive and user friendly. I can't see where I can change my details e.g. email address and password easily.

The night vision on this is still black and white, but has vastly improved from not being able to see out the window at night due to bad reflection glare, too now what may have been an software update, seeing outside at night not perfectly, but good enough on a well lit lamped rd.
Whilst you're a subscription customer for 24 months at a fiver P/M your account seems to operate fine. Live updates, live feed works, playback is accessible immediately etc.. However after your subscription ends and you've paid off your camera and is warranted to keep it and still have usage of the app, the performance drops massively. App crashes constantly, hardly ever works once plugged in, having a working live feed is rare. Whilst you take care of their pockets they'll take care of you!
Avoid it. Overall the quality is substandard. The app is poor, very poor and the delay is long. You want to cancel? Good luck, I've been trying for weeks now. They emailed me back. In German. Im not German, nor was thw account setup in German or set to German but so far i have 2 emails from them and both are in German. Stick with Wyze or Neos.
great quality picture and sound from the camara, very sensitive motion and sound so I keep sound of and motion low. The clip making feature is only availible online and can't be accesed in the app and the talk feature seems to be patchy these are my only negatives. Over all works well, reasonibly priced, a good system for security, keeping an eye on the elderly, children and pets.
Had this a few years now and it has only got worse. There are not even any alerts to your phone when something has started the camera. Its basically only good if you want to record something 24/7 then look back at it. There are so many much better cameras out there now with no contract. I am actually buying one at the weekend.
Very good. Only criticism are the charges for extended memory storage for each camera which are excessive compared to other apps like Manything. I want to extend storage for 30 days for all cameras. A total monthly charge of £9.99 would be reasonable.
It's a good app however doesn't push alert when movement/sound is picked up. It only alerts in app which means that if your dog is barking you have to constantly check the app to check in which is quite stressful. Would be better if the app gave a notification on your home screen
It doesn't support 5GHz networks and is a pain to connect to dual band as well. Otherwise working as intended. Make sure you exclude the app from the battery optimization, otherwise it will not work.
The only downside is a few missing features that are available on the website but not on the app, but of what the app can do, it does very well. I think the smartfrog system as a whole depends on what you need it to do, for me everything works as it should.
Constantly disconnecting, and constantly having to log in and out just to view my alerts and events,and even then it doesn't work all the time, it really is annoying.
Useless cameras! They freeze and lag most of the time. The app rarely works. Adding cameras takes so loks and multiple devices. Im finding another company to use instead of these! Also, customer service is clueless!
Brilliant app. Doesnt do well if not near the router. Image is amazing. App crashes quite abit though. The pictures selling the app are not realistic, but still good quality.
Very pleased. Easy set up, had to change wifi frequency but was not a problem. Great picture, great app, so far so good. I was burgled a few weeks ago. I feel happier this is now in place👍🏼
Can't even connect, unfortunately the camera gets stuck at the QR registration point. Really frustrating and thinking to return it as it is definitely NOT EASY to connect. AVOID!
The app only allows you to view live video. It's great at the live video part but there is no option to veiw recorded video. You have to use the website for that. If you use the website on your phone, you are simply asked to download the app with no option the view any video. Selecting "view as desktop" gives you an interface that is unusable in mobile. Once we can do everything that can be done on the website, this will be a perfect app.
